not someone you met in passing or at a party, but someone you really know?

I don't know anyone famous

:(

I don't think she's famous yet, but I have a friend that sings opera around the world. Angela Brown. Angie

LOL, and that pic, I've never seen her look so conservative in her life. It just doesn't look like her.

Meh, just a guy that played in the NHL for 12 years. Not a huge star. I grew up with him.

The closest I ever was to a celebrity was when I bartended/waitressed in NYC and John F. Kennedy, Jr. was one of my infrequent customers. He always ordered a bottle of Perrier, that was back when bottled water was really not a common thing to drink. He was 10 times more handsome in person if you can believe that, hubba hubba! Also very genuine and well mannered. Plus he tipped well. I was devastated when he died, even though I certainly didn't "know" him, I felt like I did. Having him as my customer certainly gave me insight to how "normal" some celebrities are -- I think he liked our sports bar because people left him alone and treated him the same as we would any other customer.

My cousin is the little girl in the movie " Big". The blonde that the boy wants to get "Big" for. She also played Annie on broadway (she was the understudy).

I also know a couple of DJs, one in Atlantic City area and one in Harrisburg PA area.

Thats as close to fame as I get folks.

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

The actress known to most as Diana Muldour, but I know her as Diana Dozier. She shows and breeds Airedales, as do I. She isn't currently doing any acting, and now lives in Connecticut instead of California.

Well, I don't "Know" her anymore, but when I was little, NASCAR driver Todd Bodine's wife, Lynn, was one of my babysitters. Her family lived next door to us, and her mother was also my bus driver.

General Wesley Clarke was my next door neighbor when he had just made General. Our families were friends (he was my Dad's boss). Had dinner over there a couple of times.

Wouldn't have voted for him though---he wore Speedo's to the post swimming pool--unacceptable!

When he was growing up, I knew Jay Mohr (now an actor/comedian). I was actually closer to his sisters, as he is about 4 years younger than me, but he played with my brother and he knew my mom pretty well since she was a substitute teacher.

I know a person who is famous in England, Nigel Robertson. He's married to a former co-worker of mine and we went to their wedding in Monaco. He's owned many companies and manages a few golfers.

Not me but my husband has known a few. When he was training for the Olympics he went to dinner at Robert Michum's house. His room mate was Bill Russell (Boston Celtics). He was also quite friendly with Bob Richards who was on the Wheaties box for many years.

Two of his best friends were the couple who owned ALA which was sold to AAA.

I guess the only famous person I've known would be my DH. About 15 years ago we went to a Masters Track and Field competition in Oregon. My DH had groupies following him all over the place. :teeth:

Roberta

Kate Bosworth was my pre-frosh at college, i.e., when she was deciding whether to attend, the admissions office sent her on a weekend trip with us. She slept on our futon for three nights and we took her to parties. Still get fantastic emails from her, and she did make the right college decision. :)

I went to a junior prom with Troy Murphy, who now plays for the Golden State Warriors.

Dimitri Hamlin lived downstairs from me, he is Harry Hamlin and Ursula Andress' son. He smoked a lot, walked around naked a lot, spoke Italian a lot, he was fun.

Catharine Edwards was in my sorority. Her father is John Edwards. She was surprisingly down-to-earth.

The most famous person I know is my Dad. He has had several books published on helicopters and other aircraft. As a matter of fact, you can do a "search" on him and there are several listings. (his name is Lennart Lundh BTW)
I also knew Carlton Fisk (catcher for the White Sox as well as Red Sox) when I was younger. His son and I are the same age and I got to know him when he came to my school for his sons basketball and baseball games.

I would have to say Walter and Connie Payton. They were neighbors in the late 70's/early 80's before he started making serious money with the Bears. :teeth: He and Connie were the nicest, classiest people you would ever want to meet.

I also babysat for some of the Cubs back in the late 70's. I don't know if anyone remembers Rick Monday, Jack Aker and Bill Bonham or not, but they were pretty big back then.

One of my relatives (not sure of the lineage, a cousin) is a producer in Hollywood, he started out producing the Waltons. Lorimar productions. It was he and his wife. They divorced and then he (Merv Adleson) married Barbara Walters. I never did get to meet her but I rememebr one time my grandmother was visiting but had to leave early because she was going to Lisas wedding at Barbaras home. (Lisa was my Mervs daughter.)

Denis Leary, John Kerry & Theresa Heinz, Thomas Butler, Ted Kennedy, Amy Carter, Speaker of the House Thomas Finneran, several very well known CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, James Taylor, and I am sure there are more people considered famous that I am blanking on right now that I know personally. I spent a significant amount of years in politics so there are many more famous politicians I can say I know and that know me by name (and not by castlegazer).

Stephen King. Don’t really know him, but I seen him on a number of occasions and even had a chance to have a small chat with him once. ::yes::
