Who is the current Captain on the Magic?

We loved Captain Tom last year. He was the best. He was always out mingling with the guests. One morning we were eating breakfast outside Topsiders and he came over. He asked if we were having a good time and were we enjoying eveything.

On our western cruise the first week of March, the captain of the Magic was Thord Haugen. He was mingling lots too and we really liked him.

My husband thinks they rotate every 6 months. 6 months on and then 6 months off. Depending when you sail, you may get Captain Tom again. We had him in fall of 2002 and hope to have him again this fall.

We just returned from the April 10th Magic and we had Cap. Tom, and yes, he is wonderful!

WOW - we had him last July and he was the most unfriendly person I have ever met. Guess we caught him on several bad days. Hardly spoke and when we spoke to him it was as if we were bothering him. When we had our pics taken with him he said maybe two words. Hello and Goodbye.

Cruise04!! We don't care for Capt. Tom either...we have had him on 3 cruises and everytime we find him to be very rude and act like we are bothering him. Would love to meet the other captain.

We don't find Capt Tom to be "Disney Material" if you know what I mean. Acts like he is only there for the job.

I agree that Captain Tom was not that friendly....I LOVE Captain Henry....sailed with him a few times on both Magic and Wonder and he was always very friendly!!!

I have to agree about Capt. Henry, very friendly, and he really runs a tight ship. The staff under Capt. Henry all seemed to work better!!!

Captain Tom was at the helm for our 12-27-03 Eastern. Seemed nice enough. He was at the "behind the scenes" talk on the Magic. He was the Captain in charge of overseaing the building of the Magic, and sailing her to Orlando from the shipyard.
