I'd expect a lot out of them because I do waaaaayyy too much research and what I want most is the best deal$$ and info I wouldn't think to ask.

Dreams unlimited is very good and they run this site. I booked with them because they give on board credit. Next cruise however I will be going a different direction. I'm not sure if we are allowed to mention other places but there is a certain wholesale warehouse club that will give you a gift card for booking through them. I compared the dollar amount for the warehouse wholesale club to the on board credit offer and it was much higher. We go to this certain warehouse club often so we know we would use the gift card and money is money. I recommend checking your options and comparing them and choosing the option that works best for you.

If you know what you want to book, use Costco. Costcotravel.com gives you a cash card when you return that is about 9% of the cruise cost. It has consistently been better than every other OBC out there.

There is no extra cost, the prices for the cruise are all exactly the same whether you use a travel agent or DCL directly. The only difference is how much commission they make off you.

You can say Costco.

Its the same reason we started using them. I book the cruise on opening day with DCL and transfer the reservation to Costco and pay the deposit and cruise cost through them.

I'll give anther shout out to Dreams Unlimited Travel. With all their agents being Certified Disney Specialists, I would recommend any one of them. They can be a wealth of knowledge, especially for a time cruiser. Their on board credit doesn't hurt either. :)

We use Ginny Rogers at MEI travel and she is amazing!!! She has taken care of us for the past 3-4 cruises and our extended family as well. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and gets back to you quickly. You should give her a try:Pinkbounc

You do your own research.

Honestly when you do that, and when you use this site, there's NO info you don't know that a TA is going to know. Seriously.

So I'd use the agency that gives you the most for your money.

For me that's costcotravel.com. I tried to use DU but they never got back to me. And it was for a time-sensitive booking. I like booking with a place where I book myself, online, just through their portal. I don't want the back and forth nonsense.

Their cash card after a DCL cruise (and their OBC for Royal cruises) cannot be beat, IMO.

I do my own research and need nothing from a TA but a small bit of time and some money. ;)

i use Gale Cowser (Gale.Cowser @ avoyanetwork.com) from Avoya Travel. She is knowledgeable about the Disney products and I have always been satisfied with her service.

You might ask her if she wants her *email address* put on the internet like that. (I couldn't do it...I put some spaces in there) The rule is we put the URL for a website. Putting an email address like that on an open forum just begs for spam to be sent to that email address. I'd at least put a space in there to split it up. (and I did in the quote)

To post the URL and see if it works, Preview the post. If it looks like this: xxxxxxxxx.com, then it's blocked and not allowed. If it shows up like this: http://www.avoyatravel.com ...then it's OK by dis standards.

Thanks for all of the good advice guys, also, how would you transfer a booking after it is made? it wouldn't bee too late?

and what about a On Board booking with costco, would you get the same cash back? or less like everyone else?

ohhhh, if Costco is your TA, can you still pay with Disney gift cards?

You need to contact DCL and have the TA added to the reservation, I believe.

Most TAs will only offer about half of the OBC that they would usually give you on a transferred reservation. Except COSTCO, from what I understand, they give you the same COSTCO card after you return regardless if you use them to make the initial reservation or transfer it.
