Who is taking advantage of FREE DINING this Fall (Aug./Sept.)?

So happy that my family's vacation is booked for the same time frame as free dining. Who else is visiting DW during this time?

We are! (Hopefully, see the link to our PTR below!) We want to be there Sept. 1- 12. This time though, we'll be staying offsite at Bonnet Creek. We went in 2009 during Free Dining (the week after Thanksgiving) It was amazing! My husband loved being able to just pull out a room key and pay for our meals. It was pretty cool getting a $200 character meal for "free"! Do you know exactly when your dates are yet? What meals are you thinking about booking? Are you doing QSDP, DDP , or DxDP?

Ours isn't nearly so exciting since we aren't on the dining plan this time. Last time we went we ate:
T-Rex
Akershus Princess Meal
Coral Reef
Ohana's

My kids LOVED Ohana's. We did the breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. They really wanted to do it again this time. They only agreed to give up character meals because we get to stay an extra 5 days! So instead I'm planning on making lots of fun stuff for them at our rental unit. I'm going to make Mickey Ice Cream Bars and Mickey Rice Crispy Treats. We're going to have Mickey pancakes and even an ice cream smorgasboard like they have at Beaches 'n Cream. theirs is called "Everything and the Kitchem sink" My kids have really been looking forward to that. Its 8 scoops of ice cream, every topping they have, and an entire can of whipped cream.

Have you been to Disney before or is this your first trip? Will it just be you and your husband? My husband and I want to take a trip just the two of us sometime. We're thinking for our 20th or 25th anniversary. this year will be our 15th so that trip is still a ways away.

This will be our first visit (our two children will be with us). It is soooo exciting!!
