Who is planning on being in Disneyland 7/17/2015?

this is getting better....sounds like they are planning more stuff. It's a month away now...hoping for some announcements.

I was there on the 50,40th with my bff, its her birthday, was in line all night, have been trying to see if we will be doing the same for the 60th, disney not releasing any info for the 17th yet...... Anyone else heard anything yet?

There is also a third WoC slated for 11:15 pm (and DCA's closure time is listed as 11:00 pm - an hour later than normal). Diamond Mad T Party also has different times listed (7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with performances at 7:00 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:30 pm, and 10:30 pm).

3 weeks away and other than what has been mentioned so far, no news. Could it be that after we have all gotten so excited that they are going to do...nothing?

We have breakfast reservations at Carnation Cafe for 8:30 on the 17th, but now I am wondering if we would have to spend the night/camp out to get in that early? Dd and I have been toying with the idea, but we have a group of 11 total and I know the ones with little kids will not be doing that. I never even thought that we wouldn't be able to get in for our reservation time.

I called guest relations, they said no news till 1616th. Real secretive.

I find it hard to believe they aren't going to mention anything about it until the 16th........but I will be there the 16th, so hoping it's not a chaotic mess!

That's crazy! Well, I'll be there for my first park day on the 16th and will keep my ear to the ground. I guess they really don't want the crazy hype of the May event. Makes the actual anniversary much, much less exciting though :( And if there's not enough communication, it might all be chaos with people not knowing where to go/what to do.

Still hoping they will do something good for us on the 17th.

The only thing I've heard so far is the blue 60th Dooneys aren't supposed to be released until the 17th

and I just saw this Aurora doll on FB which is not supposed to be available until the 17th.

I wish they would have announced it earlier. I just checked eBay and can't find anything that would ship to me in time. I'll have to make do.

Maybe I can get my 15 yo DD to dress up. I have a dress of my mom's from the early 1960's that could fit the bill. Too late to find something for my fluffiness.

Booked Carnation for a 10:10 a.m. breakfast, Blue Bayou for a 3:30 p.m. lunner; guestimating for delays entering the park, and procuring a Main Street parking spot - respectively.

Indy Fedora, Mickey Mouse boxers, Khakis, Doc Martens, and Disney Tommy Bahama shirt at the ready.

Have I missed anything?

Question. When do you fellow 17thers plan on going to the gates? Early that morning? Or the day before (yikes)?

That's so cute, I can't wait to see everyone dressed up :D

We're leaving for CA in less than a week so I don't think I can get clothes for the 4 of us put together before then. Plus, to be totally honest, I don't see us spending the whole day in the park dressed up, especially if we have to stay in because of capacity.

That's how I feel about it. If they had said something sooner, I could've put in the time and effort to come up with something cute. Also, since we're going to have to stay in the park due to capacity, I don't really want to be in fancy clothes from 6am until midnight (and later). I need super comfortable clothes I'm going to survive such a long, hot and crowded day! Lol

We're planning on 6 or 7 am. Hoping we get in!

Going the 16th - 17th. Plan to go easy on the 17th and just take it all in. I am hoping they'll pass out diamonds this time around.

I'm with Mikana, we'll be there around 6-7. We have a 10:00 am tour, so I'd like to be able to eat breakfast while we're waiting to get in, then hit a couple rides and grab a snack before the tour. The rest of the day will be enjoying the park, watching shows and whatever we can get in depending on the crowds. We're lucky enough that this isn't a once in a lifetime trip for us, so I don't feel like we have to cram anytging in. We have more park days the following week, so the 17th will just be about enjoying time in the park.
