Misery loves company as they say, and since I can't go this year, I was wondering who else is in my boat?

I keep telling myself "you'll go next year" but somehow that just doesn't cut it!

So who's gona keep me company? Or am I the only poor soul who can't go this year?? ;)

I know; we can all make believe we're going and tell each other what our favorite thing to do is!!! Yeah!! We can have our own "Cyber Food & Wine Festival".

Ok Linda; time to stop!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: You need to get to work!

We'll join you in not going to F&W ... but largely because Oct/Nov has soooooo much to do in Southern California. Oct is the unofficial beginning of "desert rat" season and our RVs are ready to roll.

We're not going either. Nor did we get there last year!! Expecting to get there in 2010 to celebrate my 50th!!

This year, instead of F&W, we're doing ABD's Viva Italia and a week at DisneylandParis! Guess that's a fair trade.

I did F & W last year. This year I'm doing the first week of December. Next year back to F & W.

Sadly, We cannot go. We are having our huge family disney trip in March 2010. but I would *love* to be there for the fest, not to mention Halloween parties. *sigh* oh well...

We are not going to F&W this year, but I am attending a 4 day conference at the Dolphin/Swan starting the day after F&W ends. I had debated going down early but my daughter starts middle school this year so I cannot pull her out for "educational" purposes any more. I did try to talk Squirrel (dd) into home schooling but in her maturity she informed me that Disney travel is not a good excuse to be home-schooled. I thought it was a perfert excuse. :lmao:

We can't make it this year either. Our high school age daughters were a little stressed last year with missing a few days of school, so this year we're trying a different month. (the teachers, however, didn't have a problem with it! They both made up all their work and their grades were fine. I have a feeling it was more of a social issue--worrying about what their friends did while they were gone!) We told them this doesn't mean we're sticking with this plan every year though!

Now, I must admit, before you all feel too bad for me, we leave for SSR in three weeks!! After the miserable New England summer we've been suffering through, I'm really looking forward to a little Disney fun!!

NO F & W for us this year. We are having a baby in November so this year is out! Luckily we were there in October! DH and I are planning on F & W 2010 to celebrate our anniversary!

:sad1: As of right now, I do not have a trip booked during F&W Fest. :sad2: It's my favorite time of year to go, so I'm pretty upset...

BUT, I'll be at Bay Lake Tower for the Grand Opening... :yay:

AND, I'll be in WDW for Christmas & New Year's during a 16 day trip... :santa:

SO, I can't complain. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

We can't make it this year either. I have a 5 week old baby girl and she will be to young to go this year. My husband and I are sneaking away after Thanksgiving by ourselves to try out the Bay Lake Villas for 5 nights. Grandma and Grandpa will be watching the baby.:lovestruc

DH and I have been making F&W our every-other-year adults only trip. We won't be making it this year, either. But I'm not boo-hooing - after I spent last year battling & recovering from kidney cancer, DH surprised me at Christmas by saying "remember that trip to Hawaii we've been dreaming of taking someday - let's do it now" (he's the best!). So after another little set-back which cancelled the Hawaii trip in April, we are finally all booked and on our way this fall!!:cool1:
We're using up our points on a Halloween party trip with DGrD(5) and taking DD, her fiance and his 'newbie' parents to see the Christmas decorations.

F&W will have to wait for 2010! Hope everyone going this year posts lots of reviews and pictures for us.

I AM going to F&W this year, but after reading the thread...Hawaii...Paris, I feel like I am getting the short end! :confused3

Won't be going this year either. We needed our points for a family trip in May and a trip to NYC this weekend. Next year for sure!

And I thought I'd be all alone come October! :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: it's all good! The way some friends/family are being hit hard, we feel blessed just owning DVC points, even if we had to rent them for now to break even.

No F&W for me either. Only two short weekend trips in January and no other trips planned for next year. Planned yet that is. Very sad.

DH and I LOVE F&W, but won't make it back this year. :sad2: We just bought our first little DVC resale and have a week-long trip planned for January. Unfortunately we're not sure about 2010 F&W either, but I'll work on it.

We are not going either and I am quite disappointed about it. We went in November 2008 and that trip was my favorite in 17 trips we have taken since 2001. The weather was gorgeous if a tad cool, there were no lines for food and drink, we strolled back to BCV while everyone else ran for the bus/monorail. Attending the David Cassidy show three nights in a row was the icing on the cake.

We have plenty of DVC points as well as free flights on Southwest, but can't cough up the $1600 for APs or the money we would need for the food and wine. To say nothing of $30 per day to board our pooch. DH is planning on 2010 but that seems so far away - I admit I am spoiled where my DVC is concerned.

No F&W for us either. We are going this year in Dec. instead. I've done F&W, Flower Festival and now Christmas, so I will have to say I am just happy to go to any of them. You can't beat the "happiest place on earth" any time.
Well, maybe dead heat of summer! Can't say I would enjoy that.:rotfl:

went last year, and it was fantastic. i just couldn't see doing March break, F&W, and Xmas break again this year. so decided to pass on F&W until next year. But i have to say i like it better than even Xmas at the world! But after a THV stay I think F&W 2010 is the best we can do.
