Who is going to the parade taping on Saturday??

Do you think we have a chance of being extras if dd and I are at the entrance by 7:30 with our Disney Christmas wear on?

Thanks

My sister just talked to casting services over at wdw and they said they are WAY overbooked for extras for the parade tomorrow and even showing up at 7:30am will not get you in. Oh well, at least that keeps us from being commited to being somewhere and we can leave if it's a mad house.

GUess they were wrong:). DD and I were at the gate at 7:15. Stood in line as they let people in and passed out wrist bands for extras. The line was very long and moved very slow. At 8AM they did the official count down to open the gates on the left side ( note the extra line was on the right side. They filmed the ticket holders as htey entered the park at 8. To my surprise when they let every one in they opend all the gates and stopped handing our wrist bands. I mean anyone could walk through the gates ticket or no ticket. We are annual pass holders and did not need to use our tickets. Any way perserverance paid off as we made it into the extra group that stood on the corner of main street. We were on the fron of te curb and saw the finally as well as Jump 5 perfom. Clay Aiken was five feet in fron of us. Fantastic day even if we had to stand in the same spot for 6 hours :).

Can't wait for next year

The filming on Friday morning was pushed back about twenty minutes becuase there weren't enough people in the parks. I guess taping over three days helped avoid the problems they faced last year. Can't wait to see it on Christmas morning.

Yep, I was there for part of it. Kinda ho-hum so we only stuck around for part of it.

We had a great time. Everyone at Disney was very curteous. They had drinks and snacks for all the extras. We stayed for our time slot, 7:30-11:30 and then left to enjoy the park. We were right up front on the curb and saw Jump 5, Clay Aiken, and Brother Bear. The park was busy, but we had a lot of fun. I love the new 75 mickey's out in front of the park. Anyway, I would do it again next year.
