Just wondering if anyone is planning to visit Cars Land on opening day. And if so, are you staying on site the night before or the night of?

Hopefully opening day! Really excited to see all of the resort changes opening that day! :thumbsup2

We are going to be there that week - so if not exactly on opening day for sure right afterward. My grandson is 5 and will be so thrilled with being able to visit Radiator Springs!

Nope, won't be there for opening day. I think crowds are going to be insane.

we are going to hold off until october, hopefully it wont be so busy then.

Will be there opening day as well! :)

And yep, booked at a hotel the night before! Its going to be crazy busy that day, so got to be prepared!

Not exactly opening weekend, but that Monday. Can't wait! We're prepared, but hoping for early Park Openings for Disney Hotel guests!

I would love to just to say I was there for the Grand Opening, but right now, no plans are in the works.

Going within the first 6 months. We will be there at the end of October, early November. So I can't answer the poll. Can't wait! :cool1:

We will be there for opening day. DH, DS8, DS4 and I are coming from Australia for 3 weeks (Las Vegas, San Diego and Anahiem) and June 15 is our last day, we fly home at 10.30pm. We booked 12 months ago and hoped Carsland would be open. Can't wait for the excitement of it all. Even if we don't get to ride anything at least we will get to see and experience it all.

We have decided to wait until February (maybe January). We were going to go in October but I am not convinced crowds with be reduced much by then, especially since we were looking at the 4th - 8th.

We were orig supposed to be there on the 19th and 20th but had to move our trip back a week so now going on the 26th and 27th. We too are staying onsite and are also AP holders so really hoping for some special entries to be able to actually see and do it!! We only have 1 DCA day though so going back at New Year's which I know is ANOTHER crazy mad time but staying the entire week after so hoping to have more time then but if not going in March of 13 for a cheer comp so between those three things hoping to be able to absorb it all!! ;)

We will skip the weekend and go on Monday instead while schools are still in session. If the crowd is anything like the Leap Day (night) crowd... it will be insane.

We will also be there for opening day.

It will be crazy and a lot of planning is in the works to see everything.

thats interesting...what schools will still be in session middle of June? I thought everyone would be out by then:confused3...we are going to wait a couple of days and go on the 17-19th..i know it will still be crazy busy but hopefully not as bad as day 1 and 2

LAUSD schools don't get out until the 19th. We will go on the 18th. DD is homeschooled and will already be out of school.

We will be there opening day! We had already planned our family vacation months in advance (DVC members- so 11 months out to be exact!) and June 15th is our last day there. There will be about 20 of us and we are staying in the Grand Californian. Know it will be crazy but can't wait!

We voted for opening weekend because of this thing called "work" and not sure how a 15 month old can handle the opening day crowd (and possibly the heat). However, how many times can we say we were at grand opening of a themed land at a Disney Park? So, we have reserved a room at the Sheraton Park (not the old and moldy Sheraton Anaheim) for Thursday and Friday nights. I did see a two bedroom available at VGC for June 16.
