Who is going to buy the 25th Anniversary DVC magic band?

I know I won't be. The MBs are cheaply made now. My most recent band is so thin that the grey part started pealing apart almost immediately.

Not sure why they would be worthless when the batteries die. No battery is needed for touch points.

Celebrating 25 years this year as well. So they work well for our trip this winter.

That would have been a nice 25th Thank You. Like sending out the sliders a few years ago they could have offered these with a members reservation. Or a 25th Anniversary slider.

They're neat, but I cannot justify that cost for something that I know I won't keep or use again. Agree with Kat4disney that a free slider would have been better - IMO.

I thought they were only in blue so I thought no but I might indulge in one for my december trip. I don't go often. I'd get the freebie pink but maybe I'll treat myself. Bought a BB8 one for my kiddo at last disney store 25% off sale - sounds like many people are not desperate for these so maybe will wait for the next friends and family sale on disney store online and get one then... esp if they do something cool. my kiddo might enjoy that

Nope. I think they are too pricey. And not cute enough for my tastes. Now if they had the ORIGINAL and colorful design when DVC was "born" 25 years ago, I would be interested!! I don't care for the current logo. Looks like the Disney Laundry trucks or Disney Channel logo to me.

Without the battery you'll not get photo pass pics while you're on rides. Everything else should work pretty much indefinitely.

No word for sure. But, believed to play lights and sounds at every FP+ entry. Typically, Magic Bands at that price point do.

7DMT is the only attraction (currently) that you wouldn't be able to get the ride photo/video for. All others have touch points under the screens that display the photos at the end of the ride.

True. Also, it occurred to me that you'd still get the photo/video if someone else in your party had a working battery and rode with you.
