Who is getting their dd a Princess and Me Disney 18" doll this Christmas?

I don't think they are supposed to look like AG dolls, my dd has many other dolls besides AG (including my Disney Doll and other Disney princess dolls) and I like them just fine. I just don't personally like the Princess and Me dolls, no offense meant to anyone who does.

I got my daughter Aurora when TRU had the deal with the free pajamas. I also got her the bed and the armoire. Can't wait for her to open them on Christmas morning.

I got my DD Cinderella for Christmas with the ardmoire. I did have the bed in the cart, but it was out of stock when I went to order it. I got her the Ariel robe and the Belle Holiday dress to go with it. I will be ordering the Ariel doll and the bed before Christmas. They appear to be really cool, but I havent taken her out of the box yet. I also got her the tea set and personally I cant wait to play with them with her. Next year I think she might be old enough for the AG dolls and the my twin doll.

Has anyone ever tried the doll dresses on an AG doll? Do they fit without too much struggling?

I ask because I was looking at them today in TRU and they looked very slim in the waist. I'm not sure if the dresses would fit.

That being said, the girl dresses were beautiful and pretty well made from what I could see. Maybe a little scratchy, but you pretty much can't avoid that. They were $50 each.

I love the way these dolls look in teh store and would love to my a Belle and a Tiana for my girls. My youngest is absolutely obsessed with any kind of doll and my older daughter absolutely loves Tiana. My concern is that my girls (2 and 3) are a little young for them. I have seen a lot of posts and reviews discussing the great quality of the dolls and would hope that my girls could play with them for years to come. But is the quality so great that they can withstand the hurricane a toddler can bring?? Any opinions on this would be greatly appreciated! I don't mind spending the money if they are a good, durable doll for the girls to play with but don't want to throw money out the window for something they are too young for either. TIA!!!

These dolls weren't available last year ~ I have my fingers crossed that they have nice hair.

They are also going to be offering a Tangled version of the dolls as well. They are about $10 more than the other princesses but that is probably because the doll comes with 18 INCHES OF HAIR

FAO has her at $50 ~ *with free shipping on orders over $99

Since Toys R Us owns FAO, I'd expect that Toys R Us will have them for that price, when they hit

Does anyone know how these dolls compare to the Disney dolls you can get at the parks. (do they still have those?)

And, do the clothes from the princess dolls fit on the park dolls? I like the idea of just a regular girl doll, but be able to dress her up like a princess.

If that is all your buying at TRU, your correct that buying there would be your best bet in order to get the armoire. If your just buying the clothes, then QVC is about $8 cheaper. TRU you have to pay tax so your paying about $38.50 for both outfits...QVC your only going to pay $30.50. For me, I have to buy 2 sets so it is even more savings on QVC. For each additional set you buy, the S&H is half off.

QVC does charge sales tax. Based on my tax rate, the PJ & Ballet set on QVC would be $32.30 (incl shipping & tax). At TRU, the same 2 outfits would be $37.07 (incl tax) , so less than a $5 difference. As you said, if you are getting 2 sets, you would save shipping on the 2nd set with QVC, so your savings would be greater. Just wanted to make sure you realized you would pay sales tax with QVC.
