Who is flying out of Northeast on 9/18?

I am getting worried about flight delays due to the horrible weather from Ivan heading this way. We are leaving out of Boston on 9/18 at 6:30am. Is anyone else in this same position and are you concerned?

Yes! I am leaving out of Newark tomorrow.

Right now, it isn't even raining here but Newark has delays of 2 hours due to a runway closure so I am fearing we will have bad delays tomorrow when there will be so much rain.

We are also flying out in the afternoon. I prefer the morning because there is less of a chance of the first plane getting in late. But my BF prefers later flights. Since you will be one of the first flights out, you shouldn't be delayed too much if even at all, unless it is really foggy.


I checked the flight status for my flight that went out today and even with the two hour delays, it took off 2 minutes late. It will be arriving late because they seem to be flying way out over the ocean to avoid all the storms.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow. I seriously need to stop watching the Weather Channel.

I too am leaving 9/18 @ 6:30 am on Jet Blue ... I just called them and there are no changes to any of the flights from Boston ... So I am there!!!!!!!!!

We fly out of JFK (NY) morning of 9/19~weather looks good for the flight, but I'm so worried about rain/wind from Jeanne. They are so unsure of her strike probability. Just don't want the parks to close or anything like that. DH is worried our fireworks cruise on 9/20 may not happen. Anyone else going crazy watching the weather??

Good news about Jeanne is that she is turning east and looks like fizzling out.

Bad news for me is the runway closure at Newark. if it is still closed tomorrow I am looking at a 2 hour delay. top that off with the rain, looks like my length of stay pass for tomorrow is going to waste.

It is 6:19am NJ time and I have been checking.... ummmmm let's see 5/6 different weather sites (addicted) and it looks like Jean is moving off shore!!!! and will stay in the ocean. We might have the rain to deal with but not the real storm!!! I can take that. We leave tomorrow for the airport at 6:00am NJ time. Hope that you all have a good vacation and enjoy WDW!!!

Well, I'm not in the the northeast but, I am flying out today. Actually, my flight leaves in about 2 1/2 hours. I've been checking the weather stations too and things sure are looking better for all of us. See ya all there!!!!
