Hello, Ashley. Happy to hear you are finding a solution for Ruby. I am going to have to kennel our dog Buddy, he' a collie mix. Just a mutt really, but part of our family. Last year he was just a puppy and stayed at my sister's house. But this year he is a lot bigger and too much for them to handle, I'm afraid. The lady we will leave him with has a very good reputation, so I'm sure he will be fine.

2xcited2slp:: I'm very impressed that you posted a pic. Hey, girl you inspired me to try posting one also. WOOHOOO I did it !!! :woohoo: :woohoo: You asked earlier if we were driving or flying. We are flying out of STL at 7:45am Sat. We will be in Orlando at 10am St. Louis time.

Good night to all our cliqueless friends!!! :cloud9:

Ted's is pretty much my family's favorite restaurant. Love it!

We haven't tried Bonefish Grill yet. The kids much prefer Mexican to seafood. But we'll check it out sometime.

 Hey Pozey and DisnyFan...we are eating at Ted's on Thursday night! We've eaten at Ted's in OKC 5 or 6 times...yum! Why did they have to put it in BA...haha I haven't even heard of the Bonefish Grill...where is it? I'm a little too far north...out of the loop.

ForTheLoveofDisney...You must get the Stephanie Plum books. They are by Janet Evanovich. Start with the first one, One for the Money. You will love them. I have never thought of them as scary at all. Funny, sexy and suspenseful but not scary.

Lyzziesmom...Wow! that is a pink bathroom. My mom has one the same color, it's so fun to try and decorate it. ;) The picture with all of the panelling looks like you will have lots of room.

DolphinRescueGirl...Good luck tomorrow.

HelloKitty.. I am glad you have come up with a solution for Ruby. I am really lucky. My folks live only a mile away so they are going to keep an eye on our cat, Dublin, while we are in WDW. Cats are much easier to watch than a dog I think. Dublin goes outside so they will just come over in the morning and then in the evening and check that he has food and water.

Night all!!! DonnaLeah, I'd like a nice cold Chocolate Milk if you wouldn't mind :)

Thank you for your kind words. It really means a lot to me that you all listen to me ramble and send me hugs. I am feeling much calmer tonight and have a good feeling about tomorrow.

Lizziesmom- Congrats on the house!!!  :cheer2:

dolphinrescuegirl: Good luck tomorrow at your new job. You've a rough few days...hang in there. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Lizziesmom: I'm a little late but what the heck  :cheer2: :woohoo: :dance3: :bounce: :dancer: party: CONGRATS.......Hey that looked like Brady Bunch pink.

Hello all--

What time is it anyway?? Why am I always the late night poster?? girl.

Today was my day off and, well, you guessed it--I did not do my housework. I am beginning to think that I am a true Disney princess princess: and am meant not to do it. Yeah, right. So, what did I do instead, you ask (or not)--my sis called about 10am, we chatted for a bit. We hung up. I called her back--"hey, you want to meet for a quick lunch?" :teeth: So, we meet after she takes her DH to the airport and the place we decided to eat was jammed packed like sardines so we walk to Borders and split a sandwich. We ate in a hurry because my 6mo nephew was being, let's say, a little more than vocal. He wasn't crying, he was just discovering his voice. We felt like we were in a library so we hurried. So, we browsed a bit because she never gets out with three kids (the other two are in school) and she actually had two free arms because I carried him around. He is a "healthy" baby and I almost threw my back out. Now I know why she is so thin. We then walked to Whole Foods and browsed around there for a while. It was a nice day. I know I should feel guilty about not getting my work done but I feel like I should take advantage of our time because remember, they are moving back to Florida. But do princesses feel guilt?? :confused3 Nah.

So, here I am--let's review--

:listen: ----->I'm not sure what made me think of this but does this freak anyone else out, or just me??

Moving on--

DznyFan--keeping your DD, nephew, and questionable DD's BF in our thoughts and prayers. What a great experience for your daughter to able to do this. She sounds like a strong young lady. I hope you are feeling better as well.

Pozey--Hi--have you been hiding again?? I grew up with the Brady Bunch. Did your kids like it?? Marsha, Marsha, Marsha--I especially liked their attire. Groovy.
"When it's time to change, you've got to rearrange...............nana na na na na na nana, nana na na na"---specially sung for you by Peter during his pubescent stage.
I'm scaring myself.

Amber---And where have YOU been?? Good to hear from ya. Sorry about your rough weekend. Anything we can help with??

Blonde moment!

Funny you mention this. I was born blonde but as I got older it got darker and darker. So now I consider myself more brownish. But, oh, do I still have the blonde moments. :teeth: :teeth: When I was in my early 20's I worked at a company during college and the plant manager used to have a blonde joke for me just about every day. Too funny. He thought. Although, I still liked him because he was a Disney fanatic too. He even slipped me the phone number of casting one day. :sunny:
I will take lots of photos on my upcoming trip. Just can't promise any of me. haha

I took my car in today...check engine light on for a month

Oh my goodness--so has mine. I am so tired of things going wrong with my car that I tend to ignore them now. People at work laugh at all that has gone wrong. Let's see--it is a convertable and 2 months after I got it someone cut a hole in the top while it was sitting in my parents' driveway. And they live in a pretty affluent area. And I live in the city and park on the street. ????????? Any answers to this one?? Then, I cannot count how many flat tires, engine light sightings, one morning just didn't want to start and had to have it towed. Still thinking. I cannot remember what else. I swear I had it at the dealership four times in a matter of a month. And this was a brand new car. Keep in mind that all of this happened over a matter of 3 yrs. Thank goodness my lease is up in Feb. Getting rid of that one most definitely. So, my engine light is on once again and I do not feel like sitting at the dealers any more. But, I suppose I must. Soon.

Ashley--is this your belated honeymoon trip?? The time will fly by. Believe me. When is Ruby scheduled for her surgery?? It sounds like you have it all figured out with your mom. And you will get to see her too. Hope this works out for you. Just a question--does Ruby fly in the cabin with you or down below??

MImom--good to hear your DH arrived safe and sound. Did you finish your painting?? Wow, your trip is right around the corner too. :yay:

So... I'd love to start over with newer better cruise memories! Ahhh, maybe next year.

Hhmmm--maybe we should try to plan?? Just a thought. Would give you better memories. Right?? Did you ever notice I always put two, count them, two question marks?? Habit. Oh, and did you happen to notice the extra smilies I put in your house congrats?? You all probably think I am a nut.

Is that a pink vanity too?? I love the pink tiles, though. There is alot you can do with this, you just need to give some contrast.
Sorry, I am not good with powertools. But, a sledgehammer isn't a powertool, is it?? I could supervise and make lemonaid.

Thanks April--good teachers. :goodvibes
As far as the Steph Plum books--I am the biggest chicken of them all and I am okay with them now. I will admit, though, as I have said in the past, the first one bothered me a bit because I didn't know what to expect. I am used to them now and see the humor in all of her doings. Just make sure your DH is home when you read them. I have to admit, also, that my heart races a bit at some of the story line, but to me, the funniness outweighs the scariness. I am Italian, though, so I can see the humor in alot of it. Steph is an Italian girl living in Jersey and working as a bounty hunter, so you can imagine. Oh, and I think I mentioned as well, the language is not the prettiest, so if you are easily offended, I would re-think it.

And by the way, you have me itching just thinking about it. Itch by osmosis.

Dolphinrescuegirl--glad you're feeling a little better tonight. Good luck tomorrow and remember, as I said earlier--breath and just keep telling yourself you can do this. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Donna--Yay, good ol' Lambert Airport. They had some power problems with the storm, so I would double check that everything is okay. I am sure they were one of the first places to be back on line, though, so no worries.
I suppose I should take a bow on my picture posting skills. I surprised myself, believe me. :thumbsup2

YM :worship: :worship: ---how was your day, sistersue?? I'm bummed, no more SP books. Miss Janet better be working on the next one.

I think I did just set a record on the longest post. My fingers are numb.
Good night.

MImom--perfection in your describing skills. :thumbsup2 Hit it right on the nose.

Good night again.

Beverages are ready to go!!! Coffee, tea, Coke, choco milk and O.J. I also have about 7 kinds of cereal (I think 2 of them would be considered healthy!), english muffins, lite bread(for toast), oatmeal, microwave pancakes(not too bad),yogurt and last but not least DH's Poptarts!!!

I am running late this morning. Took me 20 minutes to read 2xcited's post!!!J/K Just had to add that. :wave2:

Hope everyone has a DISNEY DAY!!!!!

/
So I have some goals today ladies! Now whether I stick to them or not remains to be seen.

Firstly, I am joining Weight Watchers today? Anybody here do it/ have done it? I am about 40 pounds heavier than I was when DH and I got married almost 9 years ago. 40 pounds heavier and I don't even have any kidlets to show for it. :confused3 Just got fat!!! So, I'm going to give the Weight Watchers thing a go and see how it goes. Wish me luck and let me know if you've done WW before or are doing it now.

Secondly, I'm going to focus, focus, focus on this house today. Yesterday I did spend the day with my dad for threefold reason, #1 He is my dad, #2 He lives in New Jersey and he only comes over occasionally. This month we lucked out because he was here last month and now this month but now he might not be back over for a few months so I took this into consideration. #3 DH and I are planning that move so in the back of my mind I say spend as much time with family as I can.

I too must be a Disney Princess for not only am I feeling homesick to go "home" but apparently I'm waiting for the maids to spring from the closet and magically clean the place.

I've decided that I'm only going to answer the phone today if it's DH. He has his own special ring so I'll know wherever I am in the house if it is him. Now, I know this is going to be hard because if a phone rings I think I must answer it but I'm going to resist.

I'll just imagine I'm on vacation when I don't feel the need to carry a phone except I'll be working.

Thanks for the pop tarts, Donna, as usualy they were delicious.

Have a great day! I'll check back in on my "break".

Good Morning Everyone!!!

April, Good luck with the weight loss. I haven't done Weight Watchers, but I know a few people that have. They had good results. I did try NutriSystem and will NEVER do it again. I don't know how people think that stuff tastes good, YUCK! With WW, you get to eat normal food.

DH and I are both trying to lose weight. I bought a Gazelle, but I stopped using it, I reallyneed to start again. I did just buy a bunch of Pilates DVDs and we are suppose to start today (actually, we were suppose to start over the weekend, but...) :rolleyes1 I had hoped to be in shape by our Nov. trip, but I suppose that's not going to happen.

Lyzziesmom, I think that if you get rid of the wallpaper in the bathroom, the pink is OK. I love redecorating. Have fun with it!

2xcited2slp, I also used to have blond hair, but now it's brown. I always have "blonde moments". DH is amazed at how little common sense I have. I'm not dumb, but some things just don't click with me.

Good Morning and thanks for the breakfast, Donna! Chocolate milk and poptarts - yum!

YourMajesty mmmm... Ted's. Bonefish Grill is new - it is just east of Garnett on 71st. They built new little strip center over there and it has a Pei Wei (so I don't have to drive so far!) and Bonefish in it as anchor restaurants.
Pozey We like both Mexican and seafood, but DD is getting 'tired' of mexican - of course if she had it her way she'd eat Sushi every day.
2excited thanks for the thoughts for my family. Haven't heard from DD yet, although I know they're already hard at work this morning. I laughed when I read 'questionable' regarding DD's BF - I hadn't really thought about it that way! I just can't decide from one day to the next if I like him or not. Some days I do, some days I don't. I guess that goes along with having a teenage daughter. All in all, he seems like a good kid!
Ashley I'm glad you figured something out for Ruby! I've always hired a petsitter for the dog & cat. One of my vet's assistants sits for me. That way she knows Moose and Moose knows her. She's been known to take him to work with her! My cat HATES it when we pull out the suitcases -she knows we're going to be gone. She was stressing out when DD was packing for her mission trip.

Nothing exciting for me today, except that I feel a little better. By last night, I felt as though I'd been beaten in the head with a baseball bat the congestion had gotten so bad. I hate that! I can breathe again!! (A little)

Great day, everyone, and pixiedust: for Dolphinrescuegirl's job!

Morning everyone.

Just checking in. Not much happening yet today. It's quiet.......that's a good thing. :thumbsup2

Good Morning everyone!

Okay I'm finally done catching up.

Lyzziesmom-Congratuations!!! party:

Ashley- I'm happy you found a solution for Ruby!

April- Good luck with WW!

Good morning all:)

 :cheer2:  Congrats. Lyzziesmom!!! Glad to see you got the house!!! That is awesome news. It will be a lot of work I'm sure but it can be so much fun re-decorating!! I love watching those kind of shows... my favorite is "Flip this House" I could do that for a living!! My dad and his brothers had their own co. building new homes so I've always been interested in that stuff. Its amazing what a difference you can make and it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg...

April...good luck w/ WW. I've never been on any program... I'd like to lose 10-15 lbs. but it just comes down to just doing it :).... I've got the elliptical machine in my bedroom, a whole work out room w/ machines and treadmill and everything in the basement but I've used it maybe.... 3 times! I'm gone working 12 hrs a day and at the end of the day I just want to spend it w/that adorable little boy of mine  I'm sure it would come off if I'd just cut down on the soda and "junk" but it is just one of those changes you have to make.

dolphinrescuegirl... prayers and pixy dust for you today!! Hope all goes well and glad to see you've gotten another chance w/the job.

2xcited2slp... wow it does sound like you need a new car! I could never lease any vehicle...I drive a minimum of 750 miles a WEEK commuting! I bought my Volvo S80 T6 new in 99... it was about 45k but I love it  It now has 215k miles on it!!!! It still looks new, drives like new... couldn't ask for a better car!! Last year was a bad year for it, I had to have the transmission rebuilt...so that was about 3k... but much better than a car payment of $860 a month!!! I love not having a payment!! I originally wanted a BMW Z3... little 2 seater roadster...drove it and hated it. I dreamed of that car for 3 years... so I started looking at the others..went to the Mercedes dealership to look at their roadsters and saw my car.... yep..a 4 door luxury car... :confused3 but it has a sunroof, nice plush leather heated seats...twin turbo w/268 horsepower :woohoo: so it is fast, fun and SOOO comfortable. Since DH gets the GM discount I'm sure I'll use that next time. I've always been blonde. I love the blonde jokes!!! Of coarse a lot of them don't apply to ME :) I've done my share of stupid things... but I keep them to a minimum... I would love a convertible... sounds like so much fun!! maybe when my car dies.

DznyFan.... cat6 May 27th :cloud9: sounds heavenly!!! We've never done the verandah yet... we are for sure next time though!!! I'll see what I can find. It is fun to look. Too bad our pilot buddy has to travel w/us I'd give you the discount!! The site show Sept. cat 6 7 night for $759... great for 7 night cat6!!! A few of the links weren't too bad... there are several I haven't checked yet too...

Have a great day :cool1:

I need a little advice-

My coworker invited me to her friends bachelorette party. I don't really want to go. It is supposed to get pretty wild KWIM! I don't know anyone except my coworker. I am very shy around people I don't know, so I'm sure I'll look like a dork to everyone. Also they all speak spanish (I'm not sure if they will there or not) and I don't so I will look even more like a dork. What should I do? Should I go or decline? If I do decline how do I do it nicely? :confused3 I'm actually surprised (and flattered) that she invited me!

Nope, not better. I think you forgot someone. :sad2:

:rotfl2:

Okay, I just can't do that.

So, heeeeere we go----

Donna--you're spoiling us rotten. Not only drinks now but food as well?? Wow, we must rank. Have a good day--just think where you'll be at the end of the week. :cool1: :cool1:

April--yay for setting your goals. WW is, what I have heard, the best one to follow because it is realistic. A girl I used to work with had great success. Good luck and you should be very proud of yourself!!
Yeah, my little maids are hiding in my house too. They just don't want to show themselves. They are probably underneath all the sh.., I mean junk. Who knew.
I guess I won't call you today because you won't answer it, right?? :teeth:

Amber--I misread your pilates DVD as pirates DVD?? Is this something I don't know about, I thought. Silly me. I had wonderful goals for Oct. trip but it just keeps getting closer and closer. Yay for the trip but not so much for the weight.
My friends used to say that I am book smart but not common sense smart. Thanks. Alot.

DznyFan--glad you're feeling better today. I would still take it easy though, for a bit. I'm not sure when I got my PhD, but it sounds good. Kudos for DD.

Pozey--nothing wrong with quiet. Enjoy it.

Linda--Yes, a convertible is (was) fun--I just don't put the top down a whole lot anymore. Long story. I dreamed of a convertible ever since I was in high school -----m-a-n-y years ago and loved it when I first got one. This is actually my second. Both VW cabrio--but it is just too small now. Whenever I would have to transport people or anything of substance I would have to borrow someone's car. Now I just enjoy the Wedway People Mover aka I don't know what they call it anymore--I'm an old-school Disneyer. This fulfils my convertible needs. Letting the breeze blow through my hair.

Tinkgirl Nicole--don't put yourself in an uncomfortable position. If you truly do not want to go, graciously thank her for the invite and make sure you have other plans for the evening. :p No, seriously, tell her that you are flattered that she thought of you, thank her and graciously decline--tell her that evening is just not good for you (for whatever reason) but you will be thinking about them and hope they have lots of fun. Hope this helps??
Also, what is KWIM?? explain to this naive, mid-aged girl. Please. If you don't mind.

HI LYZZIESMOMMA!!!!!!----------How are ya, sister--you new homeowner, you. By the way, I was responding to the people who had already posted this morning, so there. No whining. :teeth: :teeth:
Are you having a good day so far??

I must go now because I have to get a couple of things done around here before I have to get ready for work. My weekend is over.

Oh little maidies--come out, come out wherever you are.

Oh, I almost forgot and I didn't want to forget--

DolphinGirl--- pixiedust: pixiedust: Wishing you a good day. Hope all is going well.

Hi everyone!!!

DonnaLeah, is it too late to get some pancakes and a regular coke? :) I like pancakes for lunch anyways!

April: Good luck with your Weight Watchers. I've never tried any type of diet plan like that, but I know that LA Weight Loss works and I've heard that Weight Watchers works too.

2xcited: Ruby flies in the cabin with me! She goes in her carrier (Which I hope she isn't too fat for now, she's gained some weight since the begining of June when I last flew!) and she goes underneath the seat in front of me. Ofcourse, they charge me for it. I have no idea why, she doesn't take up any more space. JetBlue charges $50 each way, thats the cheapest one out there! United charges $80 each way, and I think Delta charges even more!

Nicole: I always have a hard time declining people when I don't want to go somewhere! What did you say when she asked you? Just tell her you and your boyfriend have some plans, or lie and say your boyfriend wouldn't like it (if there is gonna be a stripper :bitelip: or something) . If you already said you'd go and still dont want to, say your sorry you forgot you had some prior plans. ???? tell us how it goes. It is flattering to be asked, but if you don't know the person the party is being given to, I don't see the point in going.
