Underdog, if you liked the S2 IS I would look at getting a S3 IS. I hear nothing but good things about that camera and I thin k you can get it for around $300.

I have a Pextax k100d and love it. It's a dslr and requires getting other lenses. The camera itself was abour $500, but the lenses can be much more.

thank you...and like anything, it depends how much you wanna spend:rotfl: I have a Canon powershot too...but just bought my dslr and LOVE it!!! It is a Canon 30d. it is great for sports b/c it can take up to 5 fps... I had been watching several kits on ebay and you can get a good kit w/the camera and a good lens or two for 1k-$1400... but now I see incredible lenses I want that are 2k:eek: that is a Disney cruise!!! so...it depends how extreme you wanna go ;) My sister has a dslr too but it's a Nikon D50 I believe...the body was a little less but she bought the more expensive lenses too... non dslr...I have no clue b/c I've been drooling and wanting one of these and researching them for the last year or so:rotfl: I know...it's sad!!!

Thanks, would love a DLSR but… This super hero is just learning how to budget. I can do every little thing… I can be the Pool boy, the Gardner, the Mr. fix it man but when it comes to money… I really don’t know the first thing about it. But I’m learning real fast.

I think I need to stay around $400. – $500. Dollars.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lyzziesmom, Lyzzie's haircut is really cute. I really like the shot of Emma and Oreo. :thumbsup2

Linda, a fun day at the zoo! I enjoyed your photos - particularly like the macro work of the butterflies.

Pozey - what a pretty cactus! A nice surprise, huh?

Thanks all, for the compliments on the pix. I think I'll shoot again when we go back in October. We went the the MK first thing yesterday morning to shoot but it was so darn hot and humid that even with taking breaks in a/c shops she got hot and red. Plus, DH is talking about getting me a Maxxum digital body to go w/ my lenses before our October trip. These were taken w/ my old Olympus C720.

I have considered writing my trip report on the trip report area, but I don't know if I want to make them that public. Although, of course, I know they're public here.... duh..... but if ya'll don't mind my taking up space here, I'll do it here - it's a little more - private.

We got out of here on Friday morning without a hitch. By the time our flight was scheduled, most of the thunderstorms we were having had moved out of the area. We had a long layover in Kansas City, so we just grabbed lunch and tried to get the time to pass as quickly as possible. We landed in Orlando at about 4:30 to overcast skies. I think we got to OKW around 5:30, and started the PIA process of checking in. Since we shared a room the first night, split off to 2 rooms the next 7 nights, then merged into the same room again, it made check-in a little tricky. We went ahead and sent the girls off to the Marketplace while we dropped off our carryons in our room. We joined up with them, and it had already started raining - I had grabbed an umbrella at the General Store, but they were wet and kind of cranky, and waiting for us in the doorway of Goofy's Candy Company. We grabbed dinner at the Rainforest instead of a CS restaurant because of the rain, then headed back to the room after a little light shopping. I can't go to DTD without going into World of Disney, and I needed to stop into Basin. I think we got back around 9:00 - and it was an early night in for us since we had an early day at the Magic Kingdom planned for Saturday. Because my memory is so pathetic, this is where I wish I'd journaled every night.... I don't think anything spectacular happened that first night - just an easygoing first night at The World. We were all just very happy to be there. Oh! And of course - I got my traditional Turtle Krawl at the Gurgling Suitcase upon my arrival!! :rotfl:
We are laid-back Disney tourers - it's hard to get my family to get up for park opening, but you can get so much done for the first 2 hours after the park opens! But... we did get in early Friday night because of the early day planned for Saturday.

I'm outta here for the night - I'm watching the Tonys (imagine that!) and I'm still pretty much dragging. I'll visit with you guys tomorrow. Don't know when I'll get more pictures up.

Can't wait to hear (and see) more about your trip.

I think I'll head downstairs now......

Night all.

Hi everyone!!!

I'm awake and can't go to sleep because the prescription the endodontist gave me leaves me wide awake! And the way I'm scheduled to take the pills, I have to take two at bedtime. It's so funny, because yesterday was the first day that I took the medication. Normally, when they say medications are supposed to make you sleepy, they make me wide awake- and when they say its supposed to make you feel wide awake, I'm tired. Yesterday, I was so exhausted from the medication I just stayed in my pajamas all day! But today it has the affect it says from the label! Boy, I am weird.:rolleyes1

DznyFan, Welcome home!! I'm glad you had a nice trip. Being Grand Marshall of the parade must have been fabulous. I love the pictures of Erin, she looks gorgeous.

Lyzziesmom, Lyzzies haircut is adorable!!!

Tonight Jeremiah & I went to see Knocked Up. It was funny but that birth scene  Lets just say that made me re-think my stance on pain medication for when I give birth:rolleyes1 I'm glad we saw that instead of staying home and watching The Sopranos while it was on live- I am pissed about that ending.

Today Jeremiah & I did some "spring cleaning" and cleaned out the pantry in the kitchen, reorganized all the cabinets and cleaned out the fridge. Now I'm working on throwing out some clothes in the closet. I only have about 5 shirts so far. :rolleyes1

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I'm pretty excited because my Grandmother and my Great Aunt (my Grandma's sister) are both stopping by this week, coming in Thursday (driving from West Virginia, they are vacationing there this week) and staying for a day or 2. I haven't seen them since Christmas, so it should be fun!

Hi everyone!!!

I'm awake and can't go to sleep

Okay Maybe this will help...

This will be my snack of the night/morning/day and evening...:confused3

Give ireland back to the irish
Dont make them have to take it away
Give ireland back to the irish
Make ireland irish today
Great britian you are tremendous
And nobody knows like me
But really what are you doin
In the land across the sea

Tell me how would you like it
If on your way to work
You were stopped by irish soliders
Would you lie down do nothing
Would you give in, or go berserk

Give ireland back to the irish
Dont make them have to take it away
Give ireland back to the irish
Make ireland irish today

Great britian and all the people
Say that all people must be free
Meanwhile back in ireland
Theres a man who looks like me

And he dreams of God and country
And hes feeling really bad
And hes sitting in a prison
Should he lie down do nothing
Should give in or go mad

Give ireland back to the irish
Dont make them have to take it away
Give ireland back to the irish
Make ireland irish today

Give ireland back to the irish
Dont make them have to take it away
Give ireland back to the irish
Make ireland irish today

hellokitty86 -Do you play guitar?:rolleyes1

It's funny you mention that, my Dad actually plays guitar in a band and I took guitar lessons in the 1st grade :teeth: So yeah, I might know some songs...such as "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" :teeth: But thats pretty much the extent of my guitar playing!!

Okay, Then I'll just throw in a couple of "HaaUUU!!! YAAAA!!!" :rotfl2: and a couple bad things about the Orangemen and we can make them sound Irish enough!!!!

Happy Monday, Crew!! :scared: DznyFan, do you have to go back towork today, or do you get an extra day to recoup??

Good morning all (have a great 611)

Good Morning!

Donna, that looks fantastic! It has been years since I have had funnel cake.

Ashley, I am with you an the Sopranos ending. For a second I thought the TV broke. I heard this morning the reasoning behind what happened and it makes sense, but it still annoys me.

I want to see Knocked Up, but we will probably wait until it comes out on DVD.

Where are your aunt and grandmother visiting?

Dznyfan, I can't wait to hear more.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!

Welcome back Dznfan!:yay: Sounds like you had a great time! I can't wait to hear more!!:cheer2: Erin is very beautiful! She looks like she would make a wonderful princess at Disney World. You were Grand Marshals, how cool is that!!!:dance3: One of our very own cliqueless crew a Grand Marshall at the Magic Kingdom!:dance3:

I know this is going to sound a bit crazy, but I wish I could push our trip back one week, maybe even two. I have so much going on this week I just don't have time for it.:rolleyes1 Yesterday we finished tearing up the floor in the kitchen (seemed to take longer than when we put it down :confused3) and we finished installing it in Maddie's room. :cool1: One project down and about a thousand to go.:headache:

Lizziesmom....I never take the girls to those places to get their haircut. That seems to be where all the not so good hairstylist end up. :upsidedow Lizzie's haircut is cute. Emma and the mouse!!!!:scared1: I have a friend for him in my garage. The little booger is keeping away from the traps. I think it is the same one we keep catching and releasing (we use live traps because I would die if I saw a dead one caught in a trap :scared1:  ).

Ashley....I think I need to finish my coffee before reading posts. :surfweb: I kind of breezed through your post and thought I read you and Jeremiah got knocked up!!!:scared1: :lmao: :rotfl2: I had to read that again!:rolleyes1 I hope your tooth is feeling better!

Pozey....cactuses have beautiful flowers! I always seem to kill them so I don't buy them anymore.:rolleyes1
