Ugh, it's 4am and I can't sleep!:headache: I've been sitting here for the last hour and a half playing that stupid impossible quiz.:rolleyes1

Dh and I spent the evening tearing up the pergo floor we just put in less than a year ago and the wains coating less than a month ago.:headache: We're having new carpeting put in and a new floor professionally ;) installed. We are going to reuse the pergo in Madison's room instead of carpeting because of her asthma. So if all goes according to plan the flooring in Madison's room will be done this weekend, the kitchen flooring Tuesday, the patio door replaced on Wed, carpeting on Thursday or Friday, then leave for MI on Saturday, Disney World on Sunday.:scared1: Holy crap, what a week from hell this is going to be.:headache: :lmao:

Way to go Kenny!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

O.k. trying to head back to bed.:cloud9:

Before I forget, sorry Donna, I would post our itinerary for Disney, but we don't have one.:rolleyes1 I know on Sunday we are eating at Chef Mickey's, one of the days we are having tonga toast :yay: , then from there your guess is as good as ours.:lmao: We are such planers, NOT! :scared: Wait, I take that back, we do have an itinerary for Vero.

Sunday: Drive to Vero and relax by the pool or ocean
Monday: Relax by pool or ocean
Tuesday: Relax by pool or ocean
Wednesday: Cry because we are so sunburned we can hardly stand it, but still relax by pool or ocean just with a bit more shade ;)
Thursday: Relax by pool or ocean
Friday: Pack :guilty:, Relax by pool or ocean, drive to the airport and fly home:sad1:

O.k. this time I'm really heading back to bed!:rolleyes1

Gooooood morning, Cliqueless Crew!!! Are we up for chef Mickey's today? We can help to get Lesa in vacation mode!!princess: pirate:

I hope you all have a Thoroughly Lovely Thursday!!:flower3:

Hey, let's check into what DznyFan will be doing today.......

Thursday, June 7
AK? MGM?
Dinner - Le Cellier
Evening - Epcot - EMH!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oooh, dinner at Le Cellier!! My mouth is watering, just thinking about it!!!Yummm!!!!!!

Lesa:: Your itinerary sounds a little like mine.:rolleyes1 I know we are eating at Liberty Tree Tavern on Wed. night and Chef Mickey's on Thurs. night. I guess we'll be at the MK on Wed.:confused3
I'm sure your new flooring will look great and the Pergo will be much better for Madison.
I love your plans for Vero..........DON'T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN!!!!!!

lyzziesmom:: Wow!! Sorry to hear about Emma. Bruises from the dentist?? WTH!!! I would be VERY concerned about this.

Linda:: I loved Kenny's ball pics!!! You new camera seems to be working great!!:woohoo:
NO............we don't need a Harley!!! :teeth: My DBIL just sold his; they are in pretty high demand I think.

pozey:: Sounds like your wife is having a pretty good time in the Big Easy!! I've never been to New Orleans. I'm sure some of the sights would probably shock this small-town mid-western gal!! Living in the Tampa area would be pretty cool!!

YourMajesty:: Woo-Hoo!! Your youngest is cooperating by sleeping in!!!:cloud9: How is DS9 liking baseball camp. Nathan is supposed to have a basketball camp for his 3rd grade team sometime in August. The date hasn't been set.

2x2s:: Where you been, young lady?? Did your out of town guests poop you out?? :faint: Check in when you can.princess:

Michele:: HI!! Is school out yet? When is the last day? Miss ya'!!!:wave2:

UnderDog:: Thanks for the fruit snack!! How did you know I'm trying to lose weight? Now, if you could put that fruit in a blender and add rum.....would it still be a healthy drink??:scratchin Just wondering.....;)

Well, better run. My computer is really slow this morning for some reason.
Have a great day, everyone!!!!:sunny:

Donna

Good Morning!

Lyzziesmom, I doubt if she was pregnant to begin with. I mean, first she says that she's 5 weeks pregnant, but unless you are trying to get pregnant you probably wouldn't know that soon. Then, she says she's miscarried, but doesn't go to the doctor?

Linda, the pictures are great!! The first picture has me
What lenses do you have now? You got a Canon right? I have heard good things about the 50mm 1.8 lens. It is only about $80. Canon does have a 50mm 1.4 and 1.2, but they are a lot more and only a little faster.

Lesa, it sounds like you have a busy week. I envy people that can go to WDW with no set plans. I plan everything, but then we get there and change things a little.

Well, I better get to work. They have been piling work on me and I am getting frustrated. :guilty: I keep this DIS up though, because I need to get away from all of it and clear my mind. :)

Have a great day eveyone!!!

Linda: those pictures look great! The focus on the camera is amazing. That's something I always love in a photo, the way it can focus on the subject and the background is a little blurry. I can do that with mine but only if I use the manual focus, and kids move too darn fast to mess with that!

ETA - I forgot to say that I love that first picture. The look on his face, "Mo-om, just let me play already!"
I love that too and the expression on his face:rotfl2: I love it!!
It looks like he could go straight to the Yankees and skip that "Redsox" training camp. ;) These are awsome pictures. Looks like he his really into baseball!!!!:cool1:
I hope he continues loving sports like he does now... so far he liked wrestling the best, but is better at soccer... t-ball just started, so we'll see. Right now, I just have to get on him to run faster and pay attention ;) But that is pretty consistant w/all of them:rotfl: the batter will hit and the others on base will run when they hear everyone yelling "run!!!"

Well we sould eat healthy once and a while:rolleyes1 :headache:
oh thank you....I'll take a plum, yummmm!

Ugh, it's 4am and I can't sleep!:headache:
Way to go Kenny!
O.k. trying to head back to bed.:cloud9:
sounds like the pergo floor would be better in her room. our house is very open and we have that everywhere but the bedrooms and bathrooms. Good luck:cool1:

Wednesday: Cry because we are so sunburned we can hardly stand it, but still relax by pool or ocean just with a bit more shade ;)
yes, don't forget the sunblock. Have a great time. Take some pix:cloud9:

yeah, I got the canon 30d. I was using the 75-300 last night...It also came with a close up lens but I can't think of what it is...:rolleyes1 I want to get a 28-300...that should be good for close and zoom...but I am going to watch ebay too. I saw an 28-300 IS go for $1325 and they're $2200 new...but I'm not sure if I'll really need the IS or not...yet...I told Mike I need to try it out at wdw to be sure:rotfl: I can't believe all the lenses available:scared: I don't want to be changing and carrying around a bunch of lenses!

Yes, this is a great place to come clear the mind:cloud9:

Good Morning! I never did get back to sleep. Just as I started dozing off Miss Madison came down and started chatting and never shut up.:headache: I guess she is excited it is the last full day of school.:)

Madison's teacher gave me a lemon scented thyme plant for helping out in the class. I told Madison it was a herb and that you could eat it and use it for cooking. She seemed shocked that you could eat a plant, then she took a bite of the plant.:scared1: :lmao: She ate it, but I don't think she'll be taken anymore nibbles of my plants.:rotfl2:

Donna....Thanks for getting me in a Disney mode! Breakfast looks great!:cool1: You know I'm looking forward to my tonga toast!!!:yay: :dance3: :dance3: When is Nathan's last day? The girls have tomorrow, Britt goes until 9:30 and Maddie until 10:30.

Lizziesmom....No way she was pregnant! Maybe he'll learn a lesson and use some form of say.....birth control. Probably not!:sad2: It doesn't sound like he needs any more kids. Is Emma seeing a Pediatric dentist? If not, I recommend you finding one to do the other fillings. They are more equipped to deal with children, and may be able to ease her fears better. I still travel back to MI to see our old dentist if the girls need any work done. Madison has had to have fillings twice and both times he didn't use anything to numb her and she didn't even know he did anything and one was quite a big cavity. Anyway, that is just a suggestion.

Linda...I won't tell David about the Harley, he keeps telling me how much gas he would save if he had one.:rolleyes1 Do I see a Disney trip in the works?:cool2:

YM...How are you doing? I haven't chatted with you in a while. Are the kiddies done with school?

2x....I bet your still tuckered out from your weekend. Did you get to see Johnny yet? I am going to try to sneak him in this weekend, we'll see! Hope all is well!:flower3:

Dznyfan....I hope the weather is holding up for you!!! Have a great time!

Michele....I just remembered what I wanted last night. How the h@&& are we going to get luggage for 12 people and a baby in 2 minivans?:rolleyes1 I suspect Lilly will take a big chunk of it!:lmao: Did you find out if we can do ME? Maybe one or two of us can book it, and check in, but not actually take the bus? (I'm scratching my head at this one). I think we will be packing light anyway as the jeep doesn't not hold much in the back!:sad2:

Good morning Amber!!!:surfweb: Think happy thoughts to get you through the day! Here's a little pixie dust to get you through your day.pixiedust:

Today I have a full day. I have to clean up the garage sale stuff in the garage so I can put the jeep in it. We are supposed to get terrible storms this evening along with hail. I also work the afternoon at school. I have to try to get Gracie into the vet. All I feel like doing is trying to sleep.:guilty:

Well I'd better get cracking, Madison won't budge from in front of the T.V.

Pozey...you are too funny...only the DH can post one like that.:lmao: :lmao:
Thank you. Thank you very much. I'll be here all week....

Yeah, ya gotta know my DW. She has put up with me for __ years.....:rotfl2: Plus, she can be very funny herself. And she can dish it out as well as I can.

I talked to her last night and this morning. The group she's with took it easy last night. Just went out to dinner and made it an early evening. They are planning another trip to the French Quarter tonight for their going home blowout. Headed back to Pat O'Brian's for more Hurricanes. She said they were STRONG.

Looks like another great day for DznyFan. Weather looks decent for this time of year there. Highs in the mid to upper 80's with a slight chance of a shower.

I hope she's taking lots of pictures to share with us.

pozey:: Sounds like your wife is having a pretty good time in the Big Easy!! I've never been to New Orleans. I'm sure some of the sights would probably shock this small-town mid-western gal!! Living in the Tampa area would be pretty cool!!
Yeah, she is enjoying it. She said she LOVES the architecture and the houses and just how everything looks. She loves that all the buildings and houses along Bourbon Street have these balconies and everything.

Of course she probably has not seen any of the not-so-nice areas of town.

Linda - tell me again what digital SLR camera you went with? Did you get a Canon? Which one? And what lens(es)??

I was at Best Buy last night just looking around and they had a Canon XTi on display. And it had a 18 - 125 mm Image Stabilization lens attached. I picked it up and just started playing. Now........I NEED an IS lens. BADLY!!!

It was so nice.

Maybe you can sneak in a nap later :)... yes, David would save a ton in gas w/that Harley that gets about 60 mpg:flower3: :cool2: I was talking to Mike about it last night but I was on my cell and he said we'd talk about it more later:woohoo: :cool1: I sure hope so:cloud9: Have fun on your last day of school Maddie!! Kennys last day was yesterday, he brought home all kinds of cute stuff. She made them little scrapbooks from the year. Too cute!!! No more eating plants:rotfl2:

Yeah, ya gotta know my DW. She has put up with me for __ years.....:rotfl2: Plus, she can be very funny herself. And she can dish it out as well as I can.
maybe you guys can make it to the Oct 08' trip:rolleyes1 :cheer2:

you too Underdog and surfergrl.... Oct 08' we're planning on another group trip... land and cruise combo:woohoo: :cloud9: I can hardly wait!!!

the canon 30d:love: I bought it w/the 75-300 and I think it was an 18-55 lens ... I was reading that the IS lenses are really nice...I should have grabbed the one on ebay..but I don't like buying on there if they don't accept paypal. I'm sure another one will come up. you NEED one::rotfl2: I think I better play a little more and learn how to use the crazy thing first before I start throwing down k's in lenses:rolleyes1 I can say I love the huge screen on it:cloud9: Poor Mike...he was sitting there getting no attention through the whole game..I was too busy shooting away:guilty: oops!

I have the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. Yes, it is a very good lens.

Donna -- Forgot to tell you thanks for breakfast this morning. Chef Mickey's is wonderful. I love a good breakfast buffet. :woohoo:

I have been looking for something like a 75 - 300mm IS Zoom lens. Sears has one for $650. I'll have to look on Ebay to see if I can find a used one cheaper. I currently have 3 lenses - I have a Tamron 28-300mm zoom lens, a Canon 18-55 lens, and the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Thanks for the snack Underdog!

Lesa- I hope you get some sleep today!

Linda- Kenny looks so cute in his pics!

Today Steven and me are going with his coworkers for happy hour!

Good morning glories! You guys were chatty last night/this morning.

Lesa: Sorry to hear you couldn't sleep, don'tcha just hate that? Too funny about Madison taking a bite out of your plant! My kids are into peas lately, my mom is growing some and they will just run outside and pick them off the plant. Emma thinks it's hilarious. Emma's dentist IS a pediatric dentist. We have been taking Lyzzie there for years and they've always been fine. My mom said she didn't notice any excessive force, but Emma does bruise easily - she has my fair skin. We are so light, we're almost transparent! I thought about switching dentists, but the kids are on Medicaid and it's very hard to find a good pediatric dentist in the area who accepts Medicaid and speaks English as a first language.

UnderDog: I wasn't too crazy about that midnight snack until I saw Donna's suggestion. That made it much more appealing!

pozey: It sounds like Mrs. Pozey is having a fantastic time. Maybe she can get that transfer to Tampa, how great would that be?!?

Linda: I'm glad you like your new camera. It's so fun having a new toy to play around with, isn't it?

Donna: you've got me in the mood for Chef Mickey's! I've missed it on the last few trips, and can't wait to go in a few months. It just can't come fast enough! Do you think Lesa and Michele would notice an extra person in their group? ;)

Hi to everyone else and I hope everyone has a great day!! It is VERY windy here, there are tree limbs down all over town. Yesterday after work there was a huge branch in the empty parking space next to my car, and the tree was on the other side of my car. I didn't see any damage, so it must have flew over my car and not across the top. Whew! Today is still very windy - trees are sideways - and supposed to be stormy this afternoon. Yay. I just hope it's nice tomorrow. One of my coworkers is organizing an informal happy hour at a patio bar and I'd really like to attend without getting blown down the street.

I am wearing one of my new dresses today and my mom of course noticed right away, and being Mom, she said, "Oh that looks very nice. It's much more slimming than what you usually wear." Um... thanks?

Emma was so cute this morning, I took her into the bathroom at my mom's house and just as she was finishing up, one of the cats came in to visit. This is the cat who usually hides all day, but loves attention -- on her own terms. I haven't seen her in weeks. So Emma sat in my lap and pulled Dusty into her lap, and was just hugging and kissing all over her. Dusty was loving it and had her motor running at full speed. I told Emma how purring means she's happy because cats can't smile, and she said, "If I pull on her whiskers she can smile!" It's amazing that cat likes her, but she does. Then Emma hugged her again really tight with her cheek pressed against Dusty's little head and said, "I love this kitty, she is my best friend." It was just so cute and sweet!!
