The girls had tons of fun in the bounce house

Which turned out to be an unexpected touch of Disney! I just love it when that happens. :)

The favorite hit gift (thank goodness because it was also the priciest!):

Emma's birthday "cake" was actually a bunch of mini cupcakes that she picked out, with those yummy sugar decorations on top:

The aftermath.... this was first thing in the morning today, but she's pretty much looked like this all day.

OK, I just spent 10 minutes typing out a post and now it's gone. :badpc:

Lyzziesmom, great pictures! Emma is already interested in boys :scared1: You are going to have your hands full!

I thought about naming the kitten Marie or Dutchess (both from Aristocats) but I am still undecided. My little brother wants to name her Aqua Kitty :confused3

I am now speaking to my mom (as of last night). Long story short: she apologized. She admitted she was wrong and that she had no business saying anything.

Her big problem was she thought I was being subservient because I walked behind Mike. (if anything Mike is the subservient one  ) She also had issues with Mike not waiting while I took pictures. I explained to her that we don't walk side by side, because it can be hard to get through the crowds. I also explained that I told Mike not to wait while I took pictures and would catch up. Instead of just asking me about all this, she got mad. :sad2:

I hope everyone had a great Sunday. It rained here all day.

OH yes, Emma was quite taken with Kenny. I think that's why she didn't really talk to him much... she got really shy and clammed up whenever she saw him (if she was awake, that is). It was really very cute!

Amber: don't you just love when people assume things? My mom is the same way - she will just assume she understands the entire situation and is usually so far off base. I'm glad you got it all straightened out now, but it's too bad that your trip had to be ruined because of a simple lack of communication.

Aqua Kitty? I don't think so! I like Duchess, that's the one I was trying to think of! Whatever you name her, she is very cute and I hope she turns out happy & healthy since she's so small. That's weird that she would just show up on your porch -- I wonder if the mother was a stray cat and got scared off in the process of moving her babies, or if someone dumped her there? I guess you'll never know.

I'm so happy, my girls are FINALLY getting along and playing nicely together. They usually do, but today they have just been bickering all day long. Now they are immersed in a game of Cranium Cariboo in front of the tv. I need to serve them some dinner but I hate to break the peace!

You should have seen her staring at Kenny at the Cliqueless meet. It was adorable!

She was probably just thinking "omg...this boy don't ever shut up":rotfl2: :lmao:

Hey everybody! Hope you all had a great weekend.

Love the pix lyzziesmom. esp. the blankie and binky one!! too adorable! Great Emma had a good birthday!

I'm so excited, got my camera today:cool1: :woohoo: I've been playing around w/it all day. Like a kid w/a new toy:rolleyes1

Amber, we're the same way...we don't always walk together either and my mom always assumes she knows things  the kitty is so adorable!!!

I'm so ticked off... we picked Kenny up today and his dad did not change his clothes ALL weekend...from Fri. at 6 - Sun at 6:mad: The new agreement is that he wanted to see him a day less so I agreed and added that in that case, I'm no longer sending clothes...so instead of him going and BUYING the poor kid a few outfits...he made him stay in the all weekend:sad2: he really makes me sick!!but tells Kenny that he's going to buy him a 4 wheeler in 2 weeks:rolleyes: I'm sorry...but what a moron!

Ok...Mike is ready for bed, you all have a great evening and hope everyone had a great weekend!

Good night Emma...glad you had a great birthday!!princess:

Thanks Linda, did you happen to notice that poop-eating grin on Emma's face in her binky picture? She thought she was two again this morning since her birthday was over, so she could have her binky all day! Little stinker. And you can see why she tells everyone that she has "scary hair" in that picture too. :scared1: Now that you have your new camera, you know we will expect to see a ton of pictures. ;) I agree about Kenny's dad... what a moron! When we still lived with Lyzzie's dad - more like he lived with us - I used to come home from work and Lyzzie would still be in just her diaper, hanging down to her knees. D'oh! :headache: Don't worry, Kenny is getting old enough that I'm sure he'll start saying stuff to his dad soon - I mean it's not like the kid isn't outspoken, right?? Maybe he should hint to his dad that he'll need a cool new 4-wheelin' outfit. :rolleyes1

Man I hate this time of year... all my tv shows are in reruns. Which means I have to actually do something productive, like wash clothes. :laundy: :sad2:

Evening everyone.

We've had a busy weekend 'round here.

Saturday morning Chase had a baseball game at 11:30. We had a few players late, so we didn't get started until almost noon. After the game, we all went to meet our old friends I told you guys about a week or so ago.

They were up here because both of their kids were in a soccer tournament. So we met them and watched their soccer games. After the games, we all went out to eat.

After dinner, we went to the mall to get DW a few new outfits for her trip to New Orleans. While she shopped in Coldwater Creek, the kids and I headed to the Disney Store.

DW spent about $250 on 3 or 4 things.........I spent about $60 and came out with 2 t-shirts each for all 5 of us!!! Now......who got the better deal??? :yay: (me)

After the mall, we had to make a stop at Wal Mart for any last minute items for her trip.

I love the birthday pics lyzziesmom!! :thumbsup2

Today, DW had to go to New Orleans.

Her flight was scheduled to leave at 2:45, so we decided to go have lunch before taking her to the airport. After a quick lunch at Braum's, we took her to the airport.

She gets her luggage (1 suitecase) checked, and we all walk toward the security check-in. We are still a little early, so we go sit down awhile. Colton goes up to one of the monitors and comes back and says that her flight has been delayed. Sure enough......now she doesn't leave until 3:45.

So, we continue to just sit and people watch. And it doesn't take Courtney long to find a friend. DW had some paper and crayons in her purse to let Courts draw on, and this little Spanish girl comes over and Courtney gives her a crayon to help her draw. It was so cute. DW used her new camera to take pics. I'll post them when she returns.

DW finally left and we came home. I needed to mow, so the kids just played in the yard while I mowed. I was about halfway finished when April (neighbor/friend/adopted daughter) came over and asked if the kids could go with her to the neighborhood pool and swim. So of course they did.

They left to go swimming about 5:30, and got back around 7:45.

DW called a little while ago. She said she arrived in New Orleans a little after 7 pm. She got to her hotel and said it might be the nicest hotel she's ever stayed in. She said it is fantastic.

Well, I must have run everyone off......So off to bed for me too....

pozey: Glad you enjoyed the pics! We had a really nice time but it wiped us all out, as evidenced by the all-around crabby mood here today. Sounds like you guys had a busy weekend too! Glad to hear that Mrs. Pozey's trip is off to a good start (besides the delay). Don't you just love how little ones can make friends so easily? It's so adorable when they do that, especially across language barriers and all.

Good morning, everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend!!:sunny:
How about traveling to the Poly today and having a special treat? I think I'll order some Tonga Toast!!

I hope you all have a Magical Monday!!!:tinker:

Yeah, it's funny how those all day fun days turn into all day crabby days. :rotfl: We get those here too.

It was funny. I don't think the other little girl spoke English, yet they were communicating better than some adults do. The other little girl was at least a year or so younger than Courtney, and at one time, she was sitting on Courtney's lap while they colored. :rotfl2: It was SO CUTE!!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Thanks for the snacks Underdog! Happy birthday to Kyle and Colleen!

Happy belated birthday to Emma!

Lyzziesmom- Great pics!

Amber- Cute kitten!

Michele- Lilly is so cute!

I didn't do too much this weekend. Just went to a party supply store to check out decorations for my dad's birthday party next month. While I was there I found a cute Tink cake pan. Then I had my bead brunch yesterday and that was about it.

UnderDog: That ice cream really hit the spot! We got Emma's birthday coupon for a free ice cream at Cold Stone, but the girls were so crabby yesterday they didn't want to go. What kind of kids will turn down free ice cream?? :confused3

I've got a ton of month-end reports to turn in today, and I am just not feeling up to it.

I also have to stop by my doctor's office this afternoon and pee in a cup. Not really my idea of a great lunch hour, but it must be done. The good news is, I received a notice from the lab that the dr's office uses (remember that HUGE bill that I was so mad about?) and I qualify for a 100% discount for that and all future bills. Whew! Now if only I could get that discount for WDW....

My dad was asking me if any good Dings came out lately, and I said there was a great one to Orlando the other day ($45) but it was only for July. I mentioned how even with the APs and a great Ding and a great AP rate, there's no way I'd ever go to WDW in July. He seemed surprised to hear me say that!! Between the heat and the crowds, it just would not be worth it - but that's not to say I haven't at least considered it. :rolleyes1

Donna...thanks for the delicious breakfast.:woohoo:

Yes Donna, I completely forgot to thank you for the breakfast! Even though Tonga Toast isn't really my thing, I'll take that trip to the Poly any day.
