Amber, that kitten is SO cute! She looks very young, like maybe only 4 weeks or so. Do you plan to keep her? (If not, I wish I lived closer so I could take her!) You should probably make a run to the pet store and pick up some kitten milk for her, I bet she's too young for regular cat food, and cow's milk can really mess up their little tummies. Oh, I just want to snuggle her!
Speaking of snuggling... Michele, Lilly's new pictures are adorable! I love the one in sunglasses. Lyzzie saw her and said, "That's a REALLY cute baby."
Emma had a great birthday today. I'm still not sure she entirely grasps the concept, but it was a fun day nonetheless. The weather cooperated and the parade and fair were lots of fun. The girls came home with spraypainted hair, painted faces, tummies full of sugar, a little bit sunburned and a lot tired. I came home wiped out and with a huge headache. By the time Emma got around to opening her presents, she really didn't have time to play with anything. She did use her marker/stampers I picked up for her at WDW and they were a big hit.
Last night I gave Emma an early birthday gift of pajamas. She put them on, and then asked me, "Am I three now?" She thought that since she got a present, it must be her birthday! And then tonight, after going ALL DAY without using her pacifier (a first), she climbed into bed and said, "I want to be two again so I can suck on my binky." It was just so sweet and somehow a little bit sad.
I of course took a ton of pictures, but they are still in the camera and I'm not sure when they'll get out of there.
We took the new wheel of off the mouse's cage today so we can return it to the store tomorrow, and now Oreo keeps biting at the plug that goes in the hole where the wheel was connected. I'm worried that he's going to loosen it up and escape.
I had the funniest dream last night, I just have to share it with you guys. I dreamed that we were all sitting in the living room watching tv and I saw a bird in the window. I looked again and noticed that the bird was IN the house, just a foot or two behind Lyzzie's head. I told Lyzzie to turn around very slowly, and she did. When she saw the bird - at first it looked like a sparrow but on 2nd look, it was bigger, more like a starling or a blackbird - she said, "Oh hi bird!" Then the bird cocked its head from one side to the other, peering at her, and said, "HOT DOG!"
...... WTH??? I woke up right after that, but it struck me as so funny, especially because I don't even like hot dogs!! I told Lyzzie about my dream, and all day long we've been blurting out "HOT DOG!" for no reason. One time I said it, and Emma yelled at me and said, "No you're not a bird!"
I'm going to try to make it an early night tonite, I'm still battling this headache -- I think it's from the sun and dehydration, ugh. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
