Lesa: That's horrible when people try to use the kids as pawns. Lyzzie's grandparents will ask her on the phone sometimes if she wants to come visit them alone for a month! Um hello, you have to ask ME not the 8-YEAR-OLD! She doesn't really want to go anyway, but doesn't know how to say no. And then they wonder why I never pick up the phone!! Good luck with your mom, that's got to be a tough situation she's put you in. However that is pretty hilarious about your porch deco!!

Looks like we're planning a possible October trip to WDW after all! Some close friends of ours have a little girl who'll be 2 in June, and they want to take her. They've gone with us twice and love it there. Unfortunately we don't have enough points left for us to put them up at Old Key West, so it looks like we'll be paying cash for a room, but we can get an excellent rate at the moderates with my TA benefit! And our fall break is the Johnny and The Sprites weekend!! (someone at my house is excited...)

Surgery went exceedingly well - the removed part (VERY minimal) of the meniscis and sent her home around 3:00. She's down for today, too, but no crutches after today!! No internal stitches - everything's great! Oh, the power of prayer - thanks again, guys!

Yes, its like Kenny knows whats going on. When I was tucking him in bed last night he was saying...well, now Jim went to heaven to be w/Jesus. Now I'm getting all teary eyed againhe's just such a sweet and smart boy!! He is right, but now to prepare him for the funeral. I'm hoping it will be easier since it will be a closed casket. Mike is doing pretty good. Our phone was ringing non stop last night b/c Mike is the one that took care of him, and knew where everything was at, he's the one that had all his personal doc's, what his wishes were, etc. Kenny has been to a few funerals and viewings but never for anyone he knew so well. I'm sure he'll do fine.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mike's uncle. Please tell him that we are praying for him. It sounds like Kenny is handling it just fine, he's such a great kid.

Hi everyone, I'm back from the endodontist.

It isn't good news. He didn't see anything wrong with the tooth the dentist said already had a root canal. The problems are with the tooth behind it and it front of it...He said they both need root canals. I'm thinking I could just get the last one pulled, but the one in front of the original one is right in front so I have to get a root canal for that one. They charge $800 for one root canal, I'm not sure how much a crown would cost...Then to get the other tooth pulled would be about $500. My dentist doesn't pull teeth and neither does the endondistist, so I have to back to the oral surgeon. He isn't 100% sure there is nothing wrong with the tooth that already has the root canal, but he doesn't see anything. So I guess its good I don't need that surgery. He wants to have a re-evaluation in 2 weeks, because he doesn't see anything major wrong with the teeth, besides me having pain and my nerves are alittle inflamed. I was hoping this would be over before my vacation, but I guess that isn't happening.

I guess I'm just in a very bad mood and now I can't stop crying, this is just a huge headache, and I'm in pain still...with no end in sight. I'm really sick of being in pain from this crap, and plus he did some tests which made the pain worse....Plus I don't know how I can afford this, and go to Disney...I hope I can work something out, because If I have to cancel my trip I'll be even more depressed. Atleast he was a nice guy, and he was voted the #1 Endodontist in Northern Virginia. I have another appointment May 9, the day after I get home from vacation.

That is so sweet having the kids all kiss a medallion before putting it in the casket. When my aunt died the kids got a floral arrangement put on a ring pillow to put on the casket. We kept it and had the flowers put in the casket before they closed it. We used it also for my grandmother and I think my grandfather when they died. Then when I got married I used it for our wedding rings. If my brother or sister were ever to get married I would let them use it also. But it will continue to be passed through Brittany and Madison for their weddings.

The salvation army came to pick up my bags of junk a little while ago, they tried to take my fake spiral Christmas tree that is still on my porch. I had to go out and tell them to put it back because it is my porch deco. I guess it is time to put it away.

My mom called today and wanted to talk about our "relationship". She was not happy when I told her I didn't want to talk and she didn't want to hear what I had to say anyway. She called and talked to the girls on Saturday while David and I were gone. I guess either her or my sister asked them about coming to stay with them for a week in the summer. Brittany didn't talk much, but I guess they talked to Madison for a long time and who knows what they said to her (Pretty bad when you don't trust your mom and sister to talk to your kids ). I called her back and told her that before they ever invite the girls to stay there or for them to come here to visit they needed to go through me not the girls. I guess that is what prompted her calling today to "work" things out.

Well I'd better go finish All you guys with big storms heading your way, stay safe!

Looks like we have a possibilty of more rain and thunderstorms today. And the temperature is quite a bit cooler than it has been.

But with all this rain we have been getting, the grass, trees, and flowers will just explode in the next few weeks.

Rainy and gloomy here too, and expected to stay that way all week. As of now it's supposed to clear up by Saturday... I certainly hope so, I don't want the garage sale to be rained out! Around here people do garage sales from Wed-Sat, rarely on Sundays. Since I obviously can't take off of work to run a garage sale, Saturday is pretty much our only shot so I hope it doesn't rain! We had one a few years ago on a rainy day and brought in a whopping $3!

There's been a lot of drama around here this morning. One of our executives up & quit last night with no notice, and nobody knows why! He's been out "sick" since last week but still, nobody saw it coming.

And then I got an email from my exBF asking if it would be ok to ask me to lunch sometime! I guess my "playing it cool" approach is working, now I just have to remember to keep it up. It seems like he's had second thoughts after all - either that or I'm just THAT irresistable!

I've got to go get ready for our corporate meetings this morning... yippee.

What horrible weather!!! Luckily it is suppose to turn nice again this weekend so I can't complain too much.

Madison was suppose to go on a field trip to the nature center today which I think will be canceled anyway due to weather. I am keeping her home anyway today because her wheezing has gotten much worse. She actually had a melt down this morning because she wanted to go to school. Lucky for me Dora came on and she forgot why she was throwing such a fit. I know she needs an antibiotic but if I take her to the dr it they won't give it to her, they will tell me to do what I am doing now, then I know I will have to take her back in a few days because it didn't get any better. We do this every time, if they would just give her the antibiotic to begin with, it would cut several days off her suffering through all this.

Brittany called me this morning and asked me to bring her a new pair of shoes. She wore her flip flops which I have told her not to wear (I don't feel they are appropriate shoes for school) and they broke. "Nope, sorry! I told you not to wear them to school, now go barefoot or put your gym shoes on"! I'm such the mean mom!

Well the dr called yesterday. Not all my tests were back yet, but she did have my cholesterol and it is pretty high. I asked her if she was sure it was my cholesterol and not my blood pressure. Here is what I don't understand.......I am {cough cough 27 cough cough } I don't eat a lot of junk, and I eat pretty healthy, lots of whole grains, fish, oatmeal. For years my cholesterol has come back high, why is that? Anyway, I am hoping the rest of the test results come back today.

I just have to share this bit of news with my cliqueless family......

Here at my new job, I was talking with one of the executives. He was out the first couple of days, so this is the first chance I have had to speak with him.

Anyway, we were discussing one of the projects I was specifically brought on board for. It is a cost modeling program they intend to sell to large companies. Some of our bigger clients right now include AT&T, Dupont, and Wells Fargo.
So, he is discussing specifics and mentioned that once everything is done, we intend to market this at a price of about $100,000 to each company. And…………me, along with 2 others on the project will receive a percentage of that for each company that purchases it. Woo hoo. BIG POTENTIAL!!

Well, the dentist did find something..he found my nerves in those 2 teeth are very sensitive and are probably inflamed. He found this out because he tested those teeth using a q-tip that had been sprayed with some very cold air (think of those cleaners people use to clean their keyboard that sprays very cold air) and putting it on different teeth in my mouth. Those two had VERY strong painful reactions, which made him believe I need root canals to clean out those nerves. He didn't see any evidence of infection though, which is why he wanted to wait to do a re-evaluation. He doesn't want to recommend I need two root canals because he knows I'm going to remove one of those teeth, (which he doesn't want me to....) and he doesn't want to jump to conclusions.

They are actually hurting worse today. I think those tests aggravated the nerves even more and I'm worried they will get infected. Whatever happens, I hope it does in time for me to get it fixed before my vacation, and not WHILE I'm on it.

Oh Ashley... I sure hope you can get it fixed so it doesn't affect your trip!! I bet the testing did aggrevate them even more. That is how my thyroid is. He'll check it and for the next 30 minutes it feels like someone is trying to choke me. Like someone has ahold of your throat not good! Hopefully he can get you taken care of before your trip. You definitely don't want problems while you're there!
