Well, they were saying we were going to have a foot of snow today. Woke up early this morning to see if I needed to get moving faster, no snow! The storm missed us . Unfortunatly I think it's heading towards some of you all. Stay safe and warm!

I'm so over AI this year that I've pretty much stopped watching it. I record it and go back and watch the perfomers that I want to see. I don't even bother with the Wednesday night programs.

Glad to hear that Courtney is going to be fine. Poor thing!

Hopefully the judge will rule in Mike's favor! Kenny looks so cute riding his bike!

Lyzziesmom-- love your stories of your little girls. So cute! I hope you are keeping track of these in your scrapbooks because they will be so fun to go back and remember!

All this Disney planning is fun! BTW we went to WDW right after 9/11 also and it was the best vacation we've ever had there! Absolutely no one there! We had service that was even above and beyond normal! I've got to finalize a couple of things for our May trip but I've been so busy packing it keeps slipping my mind.

Well, the cat just walked in front of the computer and sat down, my signal to go and feed his majesty right now! And my coffee's ready. Have a great Friday everyone. I'll try to pop back in later!

Lots of April birthdays, huh? Courtney's birthday is tomorrow - the 14th. My nephew's birthday is the 15th. And then my neighbor/babysitter's birthday is the 24th.

My mother is driving me crazy!

Last night we were talking about what we were going to do at WDW. Now, for MONTHS I have tried to explain what it's like, asked her opinions, tried to get her to watch a show or two, so she can get an idea of what we will be doing. I thought she had a grasp of what to expect.

I told her when she first asked about going how I do things. I told her it was ok if she didn't want to do the same things, but she would be on her own. She said she would do what I wanted, because she didn't want to split up.

I tried to explain that WDW isn't like a normal theme park. However, last night is when she really started to freak me out.

My brother got new shoes and I told him that he needed to wear socks (they are water shoes, but they look like normal shoes - Mike and I have the same shoes and tried to wear them without socks, BIG mistake). My mom said he would only wear them to AK and he didn't need socks, because we would be on the ride the whole time. I told her we still had to walk from ride to ride. She apparently hasn't listen to a word I have said for the past months, because she though AK was just a drive through zoo.

Then, we were talking about our first day there. We are driving down and plan to leave next Friday. I am hoping to get there in the morning. I have told her multiple times that our room probably won't be ready, but she nows wants to go right there and rest. I told her she is welcome to stay by the pool, but Mike and I were planning on going to the outlets/DTD/maybe a park. Well, she wants to do those things too, but AFTER she gets into the room. She doesn't understand why the room won't be ready.

Oh, and the best part: even though I told her that I get up EARLY and stay up late (we may take afternoon breaks) and she said no problem, now she has issues. She doesn't want to get up early, because it's a vacation and she wants to rest. However, she doesn't want to be left at the resort by herself.

I don't know is she serious or just messing with me. I hope she is just messing with me, because if not this is not going to be a good trip.

Amber, I am so sorry you are frusterated with your Mom....I would feel the same way. I'm not sure what advice to suggest, it seems weird she is having these anxities now. WDW is very overwhelming though, maybe because the trip is so close she is realizing it. I would just do what you said, split up if you want to go somewhere she doesn't. Its your vacation too. WDW is very safe so maybe you can stress that staying in her room for a couple hours alone wouldn't be a big deal...I did it by myself at the Cliqueless meet and I'm sure I'm much younger than her I hope it all works out. I think in the future you should plan trips for just Mike/your brother/yourself.

I do think in the future I will only plan for Mike and myself (possibly brother, depending on how this trip goes). It's just too stressful trying to balance the wants of everyone else (not to mention that we STILL don't know if Mike's family is joining us).

Amber, it will all work out ok. Like I said, just do your own thing. Your Mom is a grown woman. She can be by herself for a few hours if she wants to sleep in. If she doesn't understand that the room won't be ready when you get in, she'll get it when you check in and the rooms not available. And by the way, those pool benches are pretty comfy. I know its hard because she's your Mother, and sometimes people take advantage of your weakness/respect. But stick to your guns. (thumb!!)

Mike had his trial today w/his son. We should know the judges decision in a few weeks. It went very well Mikes ex had to be escorted out of the courtroom!!! She kept mouthing the son what to say so she had to be removed and that was great for us b/c it hurt his credibility.

Perfect!! (thumb) Hopefully the judge will see exactly where this is coming from and rule in Mike's favor. How sad that it came to this, tho.

My mom didn't know what it was, and thought it was some sort of "adult" product that Emma was asking for!!

Ohh!! Friday the 13th...this week hasn't been that great anyway, this is all I need!!

I'm so sorry you are having these issues with your mom. Years ago we took Blake's sister and her family with us...never again!! They just didn't 'get it' and the stress on me was too much!! Actually that was 2001, we went with them in June and then Blake and I went back in Sept for our anniv because I was feeling so gypped out of my vacation.

They are delivering Lilly's new dresser tomorrow. They were supposed to call back and let us know when the delivery was going to be. Well, 4 hours went by and no call, so I called them. The girl, Darlene, was so pleased to tell me that it would be delivered on the 21st. Um no don't think so!!

I very calmly explained it would be delivered no later than this Sat the 14th. If not I was taking my receipt to the store and getting my money back...loudly if need be...they did perpetrate FRAUD by selling me a known damaged piece!! Then the dresser would be put on my back porch, in the elements until they could find a truck...in my area then I would be purchasing a new dresser from somewhere else.

Well I think I flustered poor Darlene. She put me on hold and checked again...guess what??? The dresser is being delivered this Sat, the 14th!!

I was given a svc # for the one they are picking up and a new invoice # for the one they are bringing...then she called back and gave me another invoice # for the new one...who knows I may be getting 2 new dressers

I learned from Lesa...keep your cool but be quite firm and you can pretty much get what you need!

Lilly Belle is coming home today...everytime she stays at her dad's I swear she grows a ton!! I will try and post more pics of our princess today.

Yolanda: When are you going in May? I'm sure you mentioned it, but I've got a brain like a sieve.

Amber: I feel your pain. I went through similar issues with my parents last year, and now we're starting in on Round Two, but including my brother & his GF - who I never talk to (either of them). They are all driving me nuts, trying to please everyone! Finally I just decided I will plan the way I want to, and to heck with the rest of them. I showed them the itinerary, asked for input and said this is their LAST CHANCE to make changes, after that TOO BAD SO SAD!! Of course they say ok it looks good, and then the next day it's, Wait.. why aren't we doing _____? Whoops, too bad. Don't like it? Do something else! (I'm really not as mean as it sounds, but sometimes I wish I could be!)

Well I'm off to the eye doctor. Wish me luck, because I have no idea if they take my insurance but I'm almost out of contacts so I have to go anyway.
