I just checked the answering machine and Gary left a message that he's running about an hour late leaving work today. That's what he gets for working from home Mon. and Tues. Actually, now I have time to Dis.

Angela:: Your itinerary sounds great!! I know you're going to have a wonderful time!! You get to leave tomorrow!!! Have a safe trip.
My ex-husband and I used to go to Gatlinburg about every fall. It is georgeous down there that time of year.


Nicole:: Sorry you're having to deal with the pushy Mary Kay rep. I definitely would not take out a loan to buy product!!! Good grief!!! What si with this lady!!?? If you want to just sell to family and friends, I'm sure most of them may already be familiar with the products. Maybe all you would need to buy are a few small samples?


Yolanda:: You sound like you've really got your act together on the moving, ending your job (don't you work for your father?) and finalizing you move!!! I would be a nervous wreck!!


pozey:: I'm glad you got to stay home from work a day! No need to go into wrok and spread those germs around!! Wouldn't want the other employees to get sick.
Wow!! Chase seems pretty young to get contacts. I guess if they're comfortable for him there shouldn't be a reason why he shouldn't get them.

I don't think you're being strict with Brittany at all. My niece that's in 8th grade has been dealing with those kinds of girls for the past few years. I think it started in about 5th or 6th grade. I think she finally figured out on her own to just ignore them and do her own thing. Sometimes she's included in "the group" and sometimes she's not. I think my sister is looking forward to high school so she can meet girls that she'll have more in common. I've heard all the stuff you have explained about Brittany; only it happened to Cassie.

The cable guy came this afternoon. As soon as he got here I called Blake and had him come home. I knew the guy would have questions and I wouldn't be of any help

He was here for almost 2 hours!!! Apparently we have WAY too many tv's splitting off the cable. He used the dreaded fire word to describe what could happen. Now Blake just said, yeah OK. Blake works with electronics and said there is nothing to worry about...he is just trying to sell us more stuff but he got my attention!!

We had them install a new DVR. But naturally it couldn't go smoothly. Something about not being able to find our IP address??? So they are coming back Sat for that, and then the Friday after that to do something else.

I had such a bad day that I went and took a nap while he was here. I needed it and still will be able to sleep tonight!

I had to laugh about you calling blake to come home to talk to the cable guy!!! There has been a time or two that Gary has called the satellite people to install or fix something; I ALWAYS make sure he's going to be home to talk to them.

Blake has to be here!!! I don't care how simple it is supposed to be, if he's not here they have all kinds of questions. Then I look like an idiot and then I feel like they take advantage. Once the fridge repairman took us badly because Blake wasn't here.

When I was telling Blake about it and told him that I almost quit I was stunned...he said why didn't you, then you could stay home and watch Lilly? I was shocked. That was not what I expected him to say!

Zach was over tonight and asked Briana if they were taking Lilly tomorrow, Friday and Sat. Bree very calmly told him no, she is too young yet. She can spend one night but no more. His reaction. "Oh, OK"

She was so proud of herself for not agreeing to something she didn't really want to do.

Not the answer you expected from Blake about you quitting your job. Hummm, something to think about, huh?? Congratulations to Bree for putting her foot down about Lilly staying so much at Zach's house. In all honesty, I would have major trouble letting her go for one night. I'm sure they're taking super care of her.

Morning everyone. Hope everyone is having a great day………’cause I’m not. I am really beginning to dislike my job more each day. It’s not the people, it’s just the “type” of work that I am doing.

I am a Sr. Software Engineer. Big title for Computer Programmer. Well, I am used to getting all the details of what a customer wants and then writing them a system. Well, here, all I am doing is maintaining programs that were written years ago. And as we say in the business, I am just putting band-aids on it. I am not doing any new development, just maintaining old worn out code.

It is just frustrating.

I decided last night that I am going to actively pursue a position elsewhere. I have a lot of skills, but I just don’t know how good the Tulsa job market is.

So……using my networking skills here………DznyFan and YourMajesty……if you, your DH’s, or your company know of a company in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area that are in need of a Computer Programmer……….you know where to find one.

Sorry for such a negative post this morning.

I planned on posting last night, but it was storming so badly outside that one of the "thunders" set off the alarm to my house. I was a bit scared of logging onto something electric-----didn't want my hair to stand on end.


Donna---thanks for the oatmeal this morning----hit the spot. I think our cold spell is coming through again. We were really spoiled with the nice weather the last few days.
We went to Carabba's for dinner. It was good, but the service could have been a bit better. I'm sure you got better service at Hardee's.


Michele---good for Bree for standing up to what she believes in. I wanted to post this the other night, pre-computer problems, but I agree with the rest of the crew about Lilly being too young, and I think it is a good idea for you to talk to you judge friend. You are NOT overreacting.

Linda----I had to laugh yesterday when I was over at my mom's house. She was playing with her cell phone and wanted a picture to put next to my name when I call. Well, I was DISing and I was scrolling through our thread and one of your posts came up. She says, "stop"-----and proceeds to take a picture of your picture of the castle (for some reason it is HUGE on my account still)------so now, every time I call her on her cell phone, your castle pic comes up. I told her all royalties need to go to Linda.

Well I talked to Brittany last night about the situation she has gotten herself in. She admitted to ditching her friends because she thought this group was more popular and they didn't like the other girls Brittany hung out with. She said how they are starting to treat her the same way they were treating the other girls. So now she is worried about apologizing to her old friends that they won't forgive her. Why do kids have to be so mean to each other? Can't everyone just get along? So frustrating!!! So I did tell her that she needed to decide what she wanted true friends or to be in the "popular" club with kids that are not really all that nice to begin with. So we will see. Thanks for the advice DznyFan, it really did help!

Well I'm off for a day at school. First working in the library then the classroom. I haven't been in the library for 2 months now, something always seems to happen on a Thursday around here.

Oh before I forget, the guy from the city called the other day. He didn't sound like he was going to be of much help. They think some of the damage we have is from our windows. Apparently this subdivision when it was built, the contractor put in crappy windows. There was a lawsuit and won, everyone got money to replace their windows, but the people that owned the house just took the money and never replaced them. So my little brain is a working on my next move. I am going to call our lawyer because the faulty windows were never disclosed to us. This however does not take care of the problem from my siding dude, I still have to deal with him. He will be sorry he messed with me, boy!
