Hey lyzziesmom...I was trying to follow you on upgrading your pass. If you by the one day ticket would you need to add the "no expiration" date? Then take the ticket and use the cost toward another annual pass when the window opens? Also, I was thinking about upgrading my 7 day pass in December to an annual pass. Do you go to guest services and pay the difference only?

Since it's just a one-day ticket, you don't need to buy the no-expiration. It will be not expire, because all MYW tickets expire 14 days from first use, and since you won't be using it, it won't expire. Yes, you pay the difference between the current value of your 1-day ticket (or 7-day or whatever you bought) and the AP price. I got such a great deal, because I had bought the tickets with free hopper & water park/more option, and they first brought my ticket up to current value in the system and THEN I paid the difference, and since I hadn't used the "more" options, I was able to get the regular AP, not the premium. Are you still with me? Just go to guest relations & they will explain it all... I also had my MYW ticket on my room key, and they just wrote "no tix" on the back of my keycard when they issued my AP, so the card was still good for my room and would have worked for DDP if I'd had it.

Lesa and I had the coolest thing happen to us at AK. We were in the line to have our bags checked and this woman behind me starts talking to me. She was telling me that she had heard on the news that it was going to rain today ( never did ) but not to worry, she was a local and that if it did rain that it wouldn't last long, etc. Well then she mentioned that she works at AK and is just signing in some friends then she has to get to work. Now as you will see she didn't look dressed to say work with the animals. I started to let it go but turned around and asked her what was her job....

She is DeVine!!!! Lesa and I both squealed, I think we startled her. We asked where she would be later. She told us which path we could find her on but said not to bother asking anyone. That she has been there for 7 years and there are still a ton of CMs who don't know who or what she is! We got thru the bag check and I asked her if I could take her picture.


We did the safari first, then when headed over to use our EE FPs who did we see??? On the exact path she told us??? Yep So now you can see the before and after of DeVine.

I was kind of surprised that she gave away the magic so easily but I thought it was so cool!!

Thanks everyone, for the well wishes for Ruby!!! She is doing better. We didn't sleep very good last night because she kept getting sick, but today she seems like her normal self.

We went to the grocery store today to get the ingredients for her special meals. I was happy because it wasn't even that packed!! I expected it to be, with people buying last minute stuff for a BBQ.

We are going to go work out in the gym now. We have to get in shape for our trip

YM- looks like we will see you some on our trip too!!! We are going from Dec 19-26.

2x- I'm not sure what I would do about the work situation. Like YM said, you would think they would be able to manage- its not like you do this all the time. I hope it works out for you!!!

Hellooooooo, Cliqueless DISers!


How is everyone's 4th going? We aren't feeling too hot around our house, and in turn, not very festive. We'll go watch some fireworks this evening and probably BBQ some burgers for dinner. But it feels kinda forced, KWIM? Hopefully the girls will enjoy themselves!

Hi Ashley! I took my girls to Splashdown waterpark in Manassas yesterday. Have you been? We had a great time and can't wait to go back!

Michele: That is awesome about DeVine! I can't believe she just told you who she is, you'd think it would some kind of big secret. I wonder how long it takes her to get into makeup? I'm surprised she let you take her picture. She is so pretty, both in and out of makeup. Lyzzie was impressed, it's like meeting a celebrity!

We ended up going to the same TDS that I took the girls to yesterday. My parents decided to get a skirt for my brother's GF because the shirt I got her didn't have the blue in it, it just had the hula "island girl" Minnie on a tan shirt. I figured it was ok because it's the same Minnie as on my shirt and the girls' dresses, but they wanted to find her something else. And my mom got one of the wooden bead necklaces. We saw some of the new back-to-school stuff they were just putting out - I can't wait until it goes on sale! There were cute little backpacks and art sets, and the lady putting them out said there's a ton more stuff.

On the way home it started raining really hard! Hopefully it'll clear up later, it looks like dusk right now but it's cooling off fast so that's nice. My folks went home, they were supposed to stay for pizza and fireworks but my mom forgot and took some fish out to defrost this morning, so they will come back after dinner. I think I'll take the girls out rather than get pizza, I don't feel up to cleaning up after them today.

Ashley: I'm so glad Ruby is feeling better! She's lucky she's cute, because she really gets into a lot of stuff doesn't she?

Michele and I both bought the same one, we seem to have this bad habit of showing up in the same clothes and accessories, so we have to be really careful of what we show up together wearing. I actually had 2 of the tops she brought, but luckily I left them at home in my "I have to many tops packed" pile.

Brittany has grown like a weed the last few months. She has a shoe size bigger than mine. We took over the paper work yesterday to sign her up for cheerleading and the coach took one look at her and said "WOW, you are getting tall, you'll be perfect for a back spotter!" Brittany was not thrilled because she hates back spotting.

YIKES! The kind of family drama you want to stay far far away from.

Donna - ooh! breakfast cake! It looks marvelous! Sorry to hear about your family drama... hopefully you can remain staying out of it - sounds like the boy doesn't need to be staying with his mother anyway - poor kid. And....... yes, I know what's special about July 5th! I was just thinking about it yesterday!

Donna: That's some serious drama! Where's Jerry Springer when you need him? That's part of the reason I moved away from FL, it wasn't family drama but the group of friends I ended up with made that stuff look like child's play. There was always some major crisis, and I was known as the patient, level-headed, "Normal" one. 6 years later I still hear the gossip and it hasn't gotten any better. Good luck staying out of that one!

Oh, there's more to my story, too. Most of my nephew's girlfriends are somehow connected or related. His current girlfriend is actally the wife to the father of one of his girlfriend's sons from about 20 years ago......and it goes on and on and......
I realize this is not the most catastrophic thing that can happen, it could be much worse.
He's told my mother that she is "livin' in the 70's" and doesn't understand how things are these days!!

Donna...I just realized that with the bunks you will have an extra bed! I'm sure your family would love me and I won't mind sleeping on the bottom bunk (I know the kids like the top bunk).

Maybe we could sneak you in as Nathan's sister??? Just a thought.

I only recently participated in my very first post card exchange and I only recently started doing TNP T or F game.
I did get caught up in the Picniptag thread but that's because I was there when it started and I answered the question truthfully and seriously and I was following it and then it went WAAAYYY off topic and I just happened (which NEVER happens ) to be in the right place at the right time to take part in my very first cliquish thread.

I agree Mrs. Toad. I'd enjoy getting to know some folks better.

Wow...I just made it to the end of this thread. I can't believe I missed it last night...I've been waiting to be "apart" of a "cliqueless" thread. I usually get ignored and only accidently posted on a clique thread once (thought it was a game).

pozey...have you ever heard the saying "if you really really knew me...you'd really really like me"? I only work part-time but some of my work "friends" thought I didn't like them at first...which was simple not true. I'm reserved but then when they get to know me they realize I'm a bit of "goof" (my words)

Also, I like to DIS at night (10-12pm) and any other time I can get on but usually not a work...see you guys tonight if that's ok.

Great work Donna....good to know my spelling has always been off. Does anyone remember what they were doing when they first posted on the cliqueless thread? I was at work on a Thursday...same clinic I will be at tomorrow. I was was so excited to find a thread that wasn't already hundreds of pages long with insider info/ jokes. I try not to post much at work but I had to drop a quick line to say hi that day.

Here is a picture of Ruby's camel hump!!! This was taken outside the vet's office...we took it with the cell phone. They told us to wait 10-15 mins outside to see if she would throw up the charcoal- she didn't and we thought she was safe...then as soon as we got home and I was trying to take a better pic, she started puking everywhere!

So this is the best I've got!!!! I think its hilarious. Of course at the time I didn't, but I can laugh at it now Her body absorbed those liquids pretty fast- the hump was completely gone by morning!!

Ashley, poor Ruby. I think getting hurt is a pug thing. I can't tell you how many times we've had to take Leary in for some random injury. I'm glad she's ok.
