Good Morning and Happy Mond…….er……Tuesday everyone!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day and a great weekend.

DW and I had an odd weekend……..we were minus at least one or two kids each night. Friday night, the Boys & Girls Club had a “Parent’s Night Out” and both boys were there until 11 pm. Saturday night Chase and Colton spent the night at Grandma and Grampa’s (DW’s parents). Sunday night Colton and Courtney spent the night over there.

Monday morning DW and I were scheduled to go to the American Red Cross and donate blood. I have O Negative blood, so I feel it is my duty to give as often as I can. I just recently passed the 3 gallon mark. DW just in the past few months has been donating more frequently.

After giving blood, we went and picked up Colton and Courtney and went to the cemetery to put flowers on the graves of my mother, father, and grandparents. My mother died shortly before Courts was born, so she never knew her, but both boys always get a little sad when we go visit.

After coming home from the cemetery, we had some leftover burgers from the cookout on Sunday. DW and I wanted to rest a little bit, but Courtney wanted to go outside SO BAD. So, we decide to go out and mow and let the kids run around and play. It sprinkled a bit and really looked like it was going to rain, but it never did, and we got to do all the yard work.

That is about the extent of my weekend…..

Pozey - that's one nice tattoo Courtney has! Where'd she get that done?? :rotfl:
Thank you. Courtney loved her tattoo!!

And DW did it - isn't she talented?? Actually, it was one of those that you put on with water and a washcloth. Turned out pretty nice. She couldn't wait to show it to everyone at daycare this morning.

Hi mattsdragon, welcome to the clique that's not a clique! There aren't any bunched up panties here - jump in anytime.
Nope....No bunched up panties here......(I was going to throw out a crude joke here, but thought otherwise....):rotfl2:

It's nice to see someone new around here!
So, what you are saying, lyzziesmom, is that you are tiring of the rest of us???? :confused3 :rotfl:

I'm just kidding.........just "in a mood" today.......watch out.... :lmao: :rolleyes1

Oh, and mattsdragon.........Welcome.

Good morning! Thanks for the yummy cinnamon rolls Donna. By the way, is Leroy and Stitch a new Disney film?:confused3 I must have missed that one.:rolleyes1 Good luck with the hair, wow is it frizzy today!;)

Erin and I were watching Bambi this afternoon at the lake, and we saw this flash of white outside of the back window - I didn't catch what it was, but she said it was a deer that had just run by. (apparently I got a look at her backside) Looked like it had been right outside the window. I peeked my head out the back door and she was about 25 yards away in a wooded area - she got a look at me and snorted and took off!

How cool. I love deer. I have spotted on several occasions about 4 or 5 deer grazing on the side of my yard. We have one persimmon tree, and one black cherry tree (I think that’s what it is) that I think they come eat from.

We're trying to decide where to eat our first night - we don't get into FL until 4:40 - after we get checked in we're headed to DTD. Can't decide whether we want Wolfgang Puck Express, Cookes of Dublin or Earl of Sandwich. (my vote is for Cookes) Any pointers?

Hmmm……….let me think about that one and I’ll have to come back with any suggestions……

Is everyone ready to get back to real life tomorrow? Back to work and (for some of us) the kids back to school? Lyzzie has her last full day, and then Wed. is a 1/2 day and the last day of school. She was excited last week, but now that it's here she is pretty sad about it.
The boys have to go to school today and tomorrow. I think the only reason they have to go back is to party.

Colton's class is having "5th Grade Day" today. I guess they are doing this in celebration of "graduating" from elementary school. Oh my.....I am about to have a child in Middle School......

Then, tomorrow the school is having several assemblies and going to try to have a "Super Kids Day" if the weather cooperates.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna! Sounds like you had a great time at the cave!

Thanks for the snacks Underdog!

Lesa- Poor little girl, she's gone through so much.

Pozey- Courtney's tattoo is so cute! Sorry the first half of you meal was bad. I had bad service at Olive Garden on Friday. The waiter kept throwing things at us!

Lyzziesmom- Congrats on the weight loss!

Ashley- I hope your eye is better now!

Dznyfan- Your itinerary looks great!

My computer is still "sick". I think I might just get a new one. I saw POTC3 over the weekend and it was great! Then yesterday me and Steven went to the zoo.

So, what you are saying, lyzziesmom, is that you are tiring of the rest of us???? :confused3 :rotfl:

Well that's not what I meant, but now that you mention it... :rolleyes1
Of course I'm kidding, how could I ever get tired of you guys? It's constant entertainment around here! :dance3:

I remember visiting the middle school as a field trip towards the end of 5th grade, sort of an orientation. We took a short tour of the 6th grade classes, had a "sample schedule" to get used to the idea of having multiple teachers, and attended an assembly all about how the rules change in middle school and they won't baby you anymore. Then we moved over the summer from FL to TX so of course I went to a completely different middle school, so the orientation did me no good. The one thing I clearly remember is they talked a LOT about not being allowed to have "distracting" hairstyles or clothing, but they never really explained what exactly that meant. :confused3 NOW I get it, but at 11 it was all a mystery.

I had bad service at Olive Garden on Friday. The waiter kept throwing things at us!

I once had such great service at the Olive Garden that it bordered on bad, because it was just too much. I was there with the girls, and the waitress kept bringing us extra stuff! I mentioned that they just fill up on salad & breadsticks, so she brought extras of both. Then she brought a variety of little cups of salad dressings so they could experiment. And a variety of cups of dips for the breadsticks. By the time my actual food came, our table was full! It was so nice of her to bring out all those extras and make sure the kids had a ton of fun (she also brought extra paper and crayons) but it was too much, I felt so crowded. I also sort of felt like she was angling for a bigger tip since she knew it would not be a big ticket since I was only ordering for myself (and it sort of worked, too!). Anyway, that's my Olive Garden story.

Oh, and I hope you get your computer issues resolved. I love love LOVE my computer, but I have days where I almost wish it would act up so I'd have an excuse to buy a laptop. :thumbsup2 (thumb)

Ugh, it feels weird to be back at work -- seems like a Monday but it's snot! :lmao: This is what spending 3 straight days with the kids does to me.

I was surprised to show up at my parents house this morning and find that they bought a ton of new furniture over the weekend. They offered me their ginormous projection tv that they replaced with a new plasma screen, and as nice an offer as it was, there just isn't room for it in my house. The thing is HUGE! I think it's a 52" at least, and it's one of the older boxy styles all done in black and silvertone metal. It just doesn't go with my home's style at all, and it is so big I wouldn't even know where to put the darn thing. They also got all new bedroom furniture -- too bad I don't need anything. But once again, the old stuff is just not really my style.

I need to finish wading through my emails - I didn't open it all weekend and now I have 148 emails (mostly junk) to sort through. I did win a free photobook from Shutterfly, so I'm glad I opened that email!

I know "theme" type restaurants are a love/hate kind of thing. For us, we love going to them. We've eaten at Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney several times. We've always had a good time. Same thing with Rainforest Cafe.

We have never tried the House of Blues at Downtown Disney though. I'd like to sometime.

But your circumstances would make it difficult to decide. You don't arrive in Orlando until 4:40. After making your way through the airport and getting on Magical Express, and getting to the resort, it is going to be close to 6:00 pm. And you are probably going to be starving by that time, and you probably wouldn't want to go somewhere that takes a long time. And both Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Cafe would fall into that category.

So, I would probably opt for someplace quick. And your choices look very good.

Did anyone hear about the accident at AK (on Kali)? :guilty: There's a thread about it.

I was just reading that thread! so sad.

Pozey - since we're getting in so late, we're using our counter-service credit for that day - and we've got two 2-credit restaurants on our schedule. We almost always eat at Rainforest, so it's no big deal to skip it this time. Don't care for Planet Hollywood. HOB is always good! We've never eaten at any of these three restaurants before - we don't really eat counter-service at DTD, so a new experience is good. They all look really good!

Back to work for me - just had a few minutes to drop in and say "hi"!

Yes, I read that thread. Hope everyone will be okay. Sounds like conflicting stories on how severe the accident was.

It's so quiet around the office here. There are quite a few of the consultants on the road - in San Antonio. And another on vacation.

Oh, I forgot to mention this.......

DW and I watched a movie that has been out for years and we had never seen before......

"Troy" starring Brad Pitt. Never seen it before. It was pretty good.

Really gross stuff at the local WalMart today. I tried on a pair of shoes, which were sort of a cross between an espadrille wedge and a strappy sandal. Really cute, but I decided I just don't need another pair of gold sandals. A few minutes later, my foot started to itch. I didn't think too much of it, until it became pretty unbearable. I took a peek, and there's this big red bug bite on my foot! I know for sure that wasn't there before I went to the store, so I can only conclude that the shoes at WalMart had bugs in them. So nasty!

On the up side, I did snag the last roll of Dora wrapping paper for Emma's birthday. I can't stand the irritating little snot (Dora, not Emma) but it's Emma's current favorite show so we're kind of theming her birthday around Dora. Ugh - I hope this is a phase she quickly grows out of. But not before she torments my mom with repeated viewings of the 96-minute-long Dora DVD I bought. ;)

Slow day at work today. A few more "sick" employees than usual, which is to be expected after a holiday. Sick from too much beer & BBQ I'd imagine!

That's scary about the Kali accident. It looks like it's not as bad as first reported, which is a relief. I can't imagine how scary that must have been for those involved. To me, part of the fun of rides is that feeling of risk while knowing you are actually safe. To then find out that you are NOT actually safe must be a real shock.

I actually laughed out loud when I read that. :rotfl2:

The more I read about it, the more it sounds like the ride stopped, then they were getting people off the boats, and THEN something malfunctioned. Maybe something fell on them, or the ride started moving unexpectedly and everyone fell.
