I KNOW!!!!! We haven't been on the same schedule in a long time!!!

(I know you can hear me saying this:laughing: )

I'm hearing my midwestern friend right now.:listen: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: (hey I went and found the little toothy guy just for you):rotfl:

Hey Pozey...it was muggy today. It looks like a chance of rain tomorrow. Did you guys catch a movie today?
Yes, we did. It was great.

Hey I found some hoot owl friends...they are so cute!

GreatHornedOwls_alan_applebury-7838.jpg

I'm gonna have to dig though my stash of pictures. We had an Owl build a nest behind our house last year. Every once in awhile it would come land on top of our chimney and "hoot" and it would echo down the fireplace at night.

On the way out, I once again asked to see the manager. I told her that they didn't have to comp our meal. We just wanted better service. She was so nice and polite and was even greatful that we said something. She said if we didn't say anything, she could not fix it.

So, we went across the street to the theater. It was packed. We had to sit up in the 2nd row. Great movie though!!! LOVED IT.

Pozey...sorry about your poor service. That was nice of the manager to comp your meal even though you wern't expecting it. Wow...you had to sit on the second row....:scared1: That was some up close pirate viewing! Glad to hear you enjoyed the movie.pirate: pirate:

Okay.......everybody come over to my house for hamburgers at about 2:00 tomorrow afternoon.....

I went up to Reasor's earlier this evening and got some supplies for a grand cookout tomorrow.

Bring your appetite!!! I think I may have gotten WAY TOO MUCH meat!!!

Yes, we did. It was great.

Oh man, I bet the kids loved that. If you find a picture post it.:woohoo:

I kinda felt bad for the waiter. Once we "got his attention", he was outstanding. But before that, he just basically blew us off.

And I told the manager that she did not have to comp the meal, but it was nice that she did.

We may have to go there more than Ted's now. Besides....Ted's raised their prices recently!! :scared1:

Well, I think I'm gonna go lay down and watch a little SNL and drift off.......

Night all.

Wow, Pozey---what an experience. Good thing the waiter got better---sometimes if you say something to the manager, they get worse ----pulling an attitude. That was nice of the manager to comp your meal.
Yay for the Pirates!!!! I think sitting that close would have made me dizzy, though. I need to get there extra early next weekend so I can be middle theater. I'll be with my visitors, so I'm sure we will have no problem chatting it up for an hour or so while we wait for the movie to begin.
I could take the early flight to OK. You said 2pm, right?? I'll need a ride from the airport, may YM or DznyFan can swing by beforehand.:confused3 :lmao:

Thanks Underdog----I don't know if I can say that I've ever had a Guiness, to tell you the truth. :scared1: I'll be glad to try one, though.

YM----they need to put toothy smilie guy back on page one-----bottom line.

My eyes are getting sleepy------time to turn in.

have a good night, all you hoots!!!!

YUMMM!!! Breakfast!!!!!!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Hey hey hey!!! Just 2 months exactly and I'll be ON VACATION!!! :woohoo:

Sorry............Gary is yelling at me to put away the computer and go get a real breakfast!!! MEN!!!

And a very good morning to everyone.

My oh my what a party last night! I signed off right before it started, dang!

DznyFan---I was going to recommend some good styling products for curly hair, but it sounds you're on top of it. Good girl.:rotfl:
PLEASE recommend away!!! I use Sunsilk antifrizz shampoo, and I use an anti-frizz conditioner, then I use the Matrix Sleek Look that is a leave-in cream when I dry it straight. What I'm not sure what to use are "good" products for curling. I have some leave-in curling conditioner that I got at Ulta (not super expensive - don't recall what brand), and I picked up some Fructis curling mousse yesterday. But... I don't know if that all will work or not to curl and define. I had picked up some Rusk 'Wired' a while back, but I don't really like that stuff. I want the curls to be more curly and defined, but not frizz. I'm really just guessing here.... If you have specific product suggestions, I'll take them.

I will meet YM at the airport and we'll pick you up! :thumbsup2 Besides, I need my brows waxed before this trip! (no Uh-ohs, please)

Night Pozey...see at 2pm.;) We better call DznyFan.:thumbsup2
Got the memo! See you at 2! :rotfl:

Pozey - at least you made it to your movie!! Bad service (any kind of customer service) is a BIG pet peeve for me. We've had that happen before - such bad service we almost didn't make a concert we went to a few years ago - at the Spaghetti Warehouse. We had to wolf our food down in a matter of a couple minutes, and were rushed to get to the Brady and get seated. It was nice of them to comp the meal, even though you didn't expect it; and at least your service turned around. Enjoyed the movie, did ya? It really is pretty good for the most part.

Donna - off the computer and eat a real breakfast? What is he thinking? BTW, YAY for the two month mark!

Underdog - I had to pass on the Guinness and the Harp, but I picked up a Moosehead instead! Went well with the chocolate. I was talking to DD (17) yesterday, and we decided we need to get Sgt. Peppers on CD. (She's a BIG Beatles fan) I have the remake from the late 70's w/ Peter Frampton etc. on vinyl somewhere, but I need the original.

Ashley, did your eye Dr. suggest the daily use drops? (they come in little individual containers)

Well it's off to the lake for me after church on this rainy, dreary day (after lunch at Pozey's, of course). My light at the end of the tunnel is the fact that I'll be at Disney-MGM Studios A WEEK FROM TODAY for SWW, and dinner at CRT! WOOT! :woohoo:

Pet peeve of mine too. I don't expect them to pamper me, just be effecient.

Have fun at the lake. And try to stay dry.

Oh.....and go ahead and rub it in about your Disney vacation.....

Hi guys! Looks like I missed quite the party last night. We were so busy yesterday! We started out at Michael's for the kid's club, the girls made the weirdest finger puppets I've ever seen. From there we went to Krispy Kreme for a very nutritious brunch with free donut coupons I had leftover from Valentine's Day, so we all filled up on donuts for the grand total of $1.39 (for the chocolate milk... after Donna's breakfast I couldn't resist). Then it was off to the movies to see Shrek 3. Very cute! Emma behaved herself quite well, except for taking off her shoes and lying down in the seat so her feet were pressing against the boy next to her. I asked her to stop and she said, "It's okay, he likes it." Oh boy, am I in for some trouble with that girl in a few more years! She also decided she likes to sing to herself, but at least she was singing quietly. It went something like, "Do you like my song? I like my song!" over and over again.

Then we went shopping at the Children's Orchard, a fantastic consignment shop. I got about 15 dresses for Emma and a swimsuit/hat/coverup combo - everything was so cute I just couldn't resist! - and Lyzzie just loves being able to pick out her own clothes. She got about 8 tops and a couple of skirts. The store was running a sale where about 1/2 the merchandise was 1/2 price - many of Lyzzie's shirts were $0.99 or even $0.49. Emma's swimsuit combo was only $2.00. Grand total? Just over $80. Unbelievable, especially for the quality of clothes they carry. They only will buy name brand, so it's all from high-end stores where I normally don't shop. (I just wish they had adult clothing too!) The girls were busy playing "fashion show" last night, trying everything on.

After shopping, we had a late lunch/early dinner at Zio's, a fantastic Italian place. We had much better service than the first half of pozey's dinner! Lyzzie - the "vegetarian" - actually ate almost a full plate of chicken fingers... between the girls they cleaned the plate. That's the first time that's ever happened!!

After the girls were asleep, I finally got around to watching one of my rented movies that's been sitting around for weeks - thank goodness for Blockbuster Online! I watched "The Breakup." It was ok... I had heard it wasn't very funny, so I think I enjoyed it more knowing not to expect it to be a comedy. I liked how they left it open-ended.

Remember how I mentioned a while back that I was having sump-pump troubles? And my dad installed a remote on it so I could turn it off at night? Well yesterday they came over while we were out, and saw water still in the basement and concluded that I must have forgotten to turn the pump back on (untrue). So I spent an hour last night looking for the remote, only to find out this morning that they took it off and my mom didn't want to tell me. Did she think I wouldn't notice?? I'm really ticked off at them right now. My parents like to play these little games where they keep secrets - either from me or my brother or each other - and it ALWAYS backfires in the end. Dad didn't want to tell me, so he told Mom to tell me. She didn't want to make me mad, and thought Dad should tell me since it was his idea to remove the remote. So nobody told me, which of course made me more po'ed in the end. Had I known the darn pump would be running on & off all night, I wouldn't have skipped my Ambien like I normally do on the weekends and I wouldn't have been woken up all night.

The rodent in my room returned last night, but only for a few minutes. Mom did set out a couple of traps, which I'm less than happy about. Isn't there some sort of no-kill rodent trap? I certainly don't want to have to dispose of a dead - or worse, 1/2 dead - mouse or chipmunk.

pozey: thanks for the BBQ invite! I read that this morning and actually considered how long it might take us to get down to OK... but Lyzzie has a birthday party to attend today, and the invite mentioned bringing a swimsuit so of course she can't miss that! But I would have loved to meet your lovely family. We will have to organize some sort of Midwest Cliqueless Meet one of these days, there are a bunch of us who would qualify.

Gotta run... I used my outstanding culinary skills (ha!) to whip up a batch of Pillsbury sweet rolls and they should be cool enough to eat now. WARNING: I will be back with a cute kid story or two!
