DznyFan, just PM'd you.

pozey, I love people that are leaving right away and want to know everything about WDW.

We don't have anything planned. It's supposed to rain, but I'm hoping it lets up enough to mow. Mike has to work a little, but then has Monday off (he never gets Memorial Day off, so he's excited). We may end up watching a bunch of movies.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Thanks for the rum UnderDog!

Amber and Dznyfan- I'm glad you had a good time last night watching POTC! pirate: I have to wait until tomorrow to see it!

Jill- Good luck on your final!pixiedust:

Nothing much going on this weekend. We'll probably go see POTC 3 tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone!

I hope all you Pirates watchers can keep quiet for a few weeks - we don't plan on seeing it right away. I hate crowded theaters so I never EVER go to the movies on opening weekend - I always wait until the next "big" movie comes out and everyone goes to that one instead. In fact, we rarely see movies in the theater at all, and if we do it's often at the discount theater. We do plan to see Shrek 3 sometime this weekend, so that will be a big treat for the kids. Emma was not interested - she said the movies are "too scary" - until I told her it's Shrek and now she is ok with the idea. It's hard to keep her still though... we need to get the seats that are in the front row of the 2nd section so she has some room to run around.

Let's see, other weekend plans... I want to take the kids to the consignment shop to get them some summer clothes. The little buggers went and grew over the winter - imagine that! For Lyzzie's size it's hit or miss, but they always have fantastic baby/toddler outfits at dirt cheap prices. I can get her a whole season's wardrobe for the price of 3 brand new outfits, and it's much nicer stuff than I would normally buy new.

Other than that, we don't really have much plans. I do have some returns to do and various small errands, and I really should dedicate a day to cleaning up the house.

Glad you ladies liked Pirates, we decided to see Shrek 3 last night and will probably catch Pirates on Sunday.

We were planning to go to Scarborough Faire on Sunday, but the forcast is for heavy rain all weekend long, so maybe we will see Pirates and Spiderman. Mmmm popcorn. I do work today, Saturday and Monday though.

I know what you mean about people waiting til the last minute for theme park advice. Every week I have people that come in to buy tickets. They don't know what options they want, didn't know there were options to begin with, have no idea they needed ADR's, and when I ask them when they are leaving, or suggest they go home and talk over the ticket options with their family about 90% of them are leaving the next morning. Those are the people that go once and then complain about how crowded it was and how not worth the cost it was. Prepare people!!!!

Yep!! That's exactly how it seems to me, too! They spend no time planning, and have a hot, crowded, miserable trip. They gripe about the food, they gripe about costs, they gripe about everything. I just think so much of their troubles could've been prevented with some advanced knowledge and planning.

Yeah, but those kind of people are not going to change no matter what you tell them. They could have a TON of information and still find something to gripe about. Trust me... Lyzzie's dad comes from a long line of those people.

PLUS.......they are leaving the day before MEMORIAL DAY!!!!

I can hear them now when they come back........"It was SO CROWDED." Duh!! It was MEMORIAL DAY!!

hey kiddies---

just checking in before heading off to work. Tonight is jammed packed with clients----I am even squeezing someone in who forgot about her appt. yesterday, but she is a great client, so I will do what I can.

My plans for the weekend-----finalizing my house-organizing task. I'll have to admit----this was way overdue and it feels so nice to have it done. I am also planning a bit of a menu for my visitors next weekend.

My mom is coming home from Florida on Sunday, so I will try to see her on Monday----possibly see Shrek3 (NOT POTC3----even though it's KILLING me!!!:lmao: but I'm a girl of her word:cutie: )

one please!!!! thanks Underdog!!!!!
Also, I wanted to mention that it is so nice the way you speak of your family!!!!

Donna---thanks for the Tigger waffle. Have a fun weekend.

Amber----ooh, I'm so excited to see it!!!!! I know in the first two movies the credits were just as good as the movie, so I will be sure to stay and watch them (and bring my tissues----cuz I'm a pushover too).
Glad to hear Mike finally gets the holiday off work.

OMG---is that ..........JILL???????? HI!!!!! We missed you at the convention. YM sang the Pina Colada song with me on the Poly parking lot walking to Linda and Mike's car.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh, get this.......

DW sends me an e-mail yesterday afternoon. She said someone at her work came up and said to her "I hear you and your husband are pretty knowlegeable when it comes to Disney World." DW said “My husband is the ‘expert’. When are you leaving and what would you like to know?”

And the guy says “We are leaving Sunday, and I would like to know everything there is to know.”

So, I wrote out a few things last night for her to take to the guy. She said he really didn't know anything other than they were staying at the All Star Resorts.

wow, good luck with that!!!! Don't you just shake your head at some people??
Have a good weekend!! That's nice of you to take flowers to the cemetary. I think many people forget what it's all about.

DznyFan---:lmao: :lmao: ahh, great minds think alike------I'll take that middle dish that Underdog served up as well.:thumbsup2 (thumb)

Nicole---I hope you get to see it tomorrow. Did you pre-purchase tickets?? I'm debating whether or not I need to do that for next weekend?? Don't know.

Lyzziesmom---I know when my nephew was a bit younger, he hated going to the theater because it was just too dark. I think after Cars came out, he got over that. I hope Emma will be able to join you to see Shrek.

Lin,
We were planning to go to Scarborough Faire on Sunday

parsley, sage, rosemary, or thyme?? :lmao: :lmao:
Sorry, showing my age with a little Simon and Garfunkel.
You're probably too young, Lin.
Sorry you have to work most of the weekend. Do you think you'll be busy??

HI Linda, YM, Lesa, Michele, Ash, and anyone else I missed.

Have a good day and for all of those leaving over the weekend-----have fun and be safe.

parsley, sage, rosemary, or thyme?? :lmao: :lmao:

That was the first thing I thought of too! :scared1:

Has anyone heard from Yolanda lately? Isn't her month of being computer-free just about over by now? I hope everything is ok.

Speaking of missing DISers... I have been really worried about April. She hasn't been on here in forever! I haven't seen Sherri in a while either.

On the other hand, it was really nice to see JILL pop in again! Howya doin', girlie?

Oh and UnderDog... I'll take two of the middle dish, please. pirate: It's my favorite, how did you know? And I might need a helping of that first one to along with it. :thumbsup2 (thumb)

I Am Soooo Bored At Work Today!!!!!
Hi, micknpluto! Me, too!

So I've been busting my tail this week so that I can get ahead of myself at work before I leave for vacation, and no I'm sitting here with nothing to do...

Is there anybody out there?

Hi DznyFan! I'm here.

Jeremiah just left work early and I have an eye appointment at 6:30! My other eye is actually starting to bother me so that worries me even more:confused3

Wish me luck!!

We also want to go see Pirates 3 but I think it will be too crowded tonight! It probably will be packed all weekend but I wonder if it would help if we went to an early afternoon movie tomorrow. I'm starving! We are going to Famous Dave's for dinner and I've been thinking about it all day!

Ashley, so now you're experiencing it in both eyes? At least you're getting seen. I hope it turns out to be nothing.

Yeah, I think you might have better luck with a matinee tomorrow, although I agree, I imagine it'll be packed all weekend.

I'm trying to get out of going to the lake this weekend (DH will pout, though), I just have too much to do getting ready for leaving next Friday to be gone all weekend. ugh.

I think I'm going to be the last person in the office today. We had about 20 people out on vacation today, and at least 3/4 of the rest of them have already gone home. Entire departments have gone home early. This is killing me!! The phones are not ringing, nobody is coming in, deliveries are not coming or going... there is NOTHING to do! I'm even getting bored with reading the DISboards.

Ashley: I hope your eye problems turn out to be nothing serious. With my horrible vision, I am always terrified of something happening to my eyes - that would be just about the worst thing I could think of, is losing what little I have left of my eyesight.

DznyFan: If you can't get out of going to the lake, try to at least have fun while you're there. Before a WDW trip I always feel like I have SO much to do, but it usually doesn't turn out to take nearly as long as I expected. Then again, I don't have a mile-long packing list like some people I've seen on here. I see some DISers lists of just stuff they bring into the parks, and I wonder how on earth they manage to haul all that junk around? For me, less is definitely more. Whatever you end up doing this weekend -- have fun!

I want to go home, too! I'm tired of being bored.

Lyzziesmom- I'm bored at work too! :bored:

Isn't it just unbelievable what some folks will pack around? I want my camera, and just what I need for the day. I am not a pack mule.
I just feel like there's so much I want to get accomplished - I need a haircut, I need to get some prescriptions refilled, need to find another pair or two of shorts, need to get my oil changed... I'm not going to want to mess with that during the week!

I guess I'm a pack mule!:lmao: Let's see....I carry 6 bottles of water, snacks, park tickets, my wallet, chapstick, bandaids, batteries, and my camera all in a little backpack!
