YM: I am reading Metro Girl right now! It took me a little while to get into it, but now I'm really enjoying it. It's funny, since so much of it takes place in SFL I know a lot of the places they are talking about, or at least the general area, so I can picture it really well.

2x: You have been a busy girl haven't you! Thanks for reminding me... I need to charge up all my batteries for the camera and locate my extra memory cards! Lyzzie's interrupting cow joke is much funnier in person, it doesn't really translate well to being written down.

We got all our clothes packed up last night and a few miscellaneous items, the rest of the toiletries and stuff will get done tonight and tomorrow morning. Turns out Lyzzie IS excited -- and she said she LOVES packing! Who knew? We brought Oreo over to my parents' house this morning so we won't have to worry about that tomorrow. Whew, so much left to do! For some reason Emma doesn't quite get that we are going away for a few days, she thinks we will be hiding and she says, "I want to hide with you." So we played a little peek-a-boo and that made her happy. She's going to be very upset though when she realized we are being dropped off at the airport - she knows what that place is!

Linda...I know this is old news but I'm so sorry Mike has to pay his son the money that he didn't use for college. That's not right. I did enjoy the new pictures of Kenny playing in the mud! Hang in there...you and Milke and Kenny are absolutely a joy to know!

I hope everyone is doing well!! I've been reading but not posting so I see everyone is, except for those with colds...I hope you all feel better!

Yesterday was the first day in a long time that I didn't have any tooth pain!

I was in such a good mood yesterday and Jeremiah took me to get a manicure, pedicure and my eyebrows done. Now he just text messaged me that I have a hair appointment tonight! I need a haircut really bad, I haven't got one since our September trip!!!!

They had the estate sale family walk -thru for my grandma and grandpa's estate on Monday night.

p.s. I took my camera out to charge the battery for this weekend and started going through our pics from Feb. ahhh, good times!!! I was smiling ear to ear.

I love last minute trips. So exciting! Any excuse to go to FL is good for me I'm sure they'll really appreciate you being there. I'm so happy you were able to go to your grandmas and get the sentimental things you wanted. I got my grandmas wedding ring, those things are just priceless!!

I'm looking at a few cameras and I just can't decide, mainly b/c I don't have a clue about them I really like the Canon 30d, and the Canon 5d...but for the price difference, I don't know if its worth the extra for the 5d or not. it has more mega pix but only does 3fps instead of 5! decisions decisions...then all the goodies to go w/it yikes$$$$$ I need a 2nd job

Hey are any of you still watching American Idol? I was so excited last night - not only did I get to see & hear the new Bon Jovi song (EXCELLENT by the way!), but they FINALLY got the eliminations right!! That was exactly who we wanted to see go home. Now the only problem is... I can't decide who I want to win! I think I like Jordin the best, because she is so good and just so darn cute and likeable. But I think Blake has a lot of radio potential and could really go far in a real music career. Of course Melinda is awesome, but I'm not sure how her talent would translate to actual album sales. Same thing with LaKisha.

I had to throw some color on my hair to cover the, well, I'll admit--gray----but, I couldn't find an old towel so I am sitting here with a disposable red plastic table cloth wrapped around me like a cape. I think I was inspired by Michele's innovative use of plastic bags.
If I dance around I could resemble Lesa's SPAZ-O-RAT (or tick, or whatever that was).

I looked at Canon's before deciding on Pentax (I have a K100d, but am looking at upgrading to the K10). There were a few things that helped with my decision.

1.) The K100d and the K10 both have image stability in the body. That was a huge plus for me (especially when you consider the price of IS in a Canon lens ) No matter what lens I chose, I will always have IS.

2.) Pretty much ALL Pentax lenses can be used on my camera. This isn't so with Canon (or Nikon). You can find older lenses for not much money.

3.) The price was great. I paid $500 (after $50 rebate) for my camera and 18-55mm kit lens (which is said to be one of the best). I have spent under $1000 and have four lenses.

Whatever you decide, you'll LOVE having a dSLR; I just thought I'd give you my take.

I was going to ask you about that!! I'm looking at some on ebay at great prices. I haven't done any research on Pentax at all. IS is definitely important...and I want speed for Kennys sports I'll have to look at those! thanks Amber

This one is a light in the Haunted Mansion. I have a big collection of lights at WDW now. We were in line for POTC and I took a picture of a light there. A woman said something about it to her husband (I didn't hear it, but Mike did). Later, I took another picture of a light and she again commented. I didn't know this until later, so after Mike told me about it I decided that I would take as many pictures of lights as I could.

The first comment was just "Why would anyone take a picture of a light" (said, according to Mike, snottily).

The next comment was "I just don't understand WHY someone would take a picture of a light"

If she would have asked me, I would have gladly explained. I thought it was funny. I did get some weird looks taking pictures of things, but I figured it gave people something to talk about.
