Good Morning!

Thanks for the breakfast Donna!

Amber- I love your snowglobes! I have a few small Tink snowglobes. I would like to start collecting snowglobes one day.

Lyzziesmom- Yay! Your got your refund back!:cool1:

Have a great day everyone!

Yay for Friday! Today is the day my tax refund was scheduled for direct deposit. Next stop: bank website to check on it. I hope it's here... after all, I have to save money for my next vacation!!
Yeah, me too. I’ve already got my state refund. Just waiting on my federal return.

I got an e-mail saying that the IRS will issue my deposit sometime today. But it isn’t there yet.

Where's my money?

Lyzziesmom, I didn't even post off the shelves.

Yea for getting your refund!! :wizard: that airfare goes down.

Yolanda, congrats to your DH! The job is in WV right?

It looks like DH got the job! :cool1: They are flying us both out in 2 weeks to meet with them and discuss the final numbers. He is the only candidate they are looking at.
That's great! :yay: Congrats to you and your DH!!

Funny story……well, I guess it’s funny……well……maybe it is more of a work vent……

In our department here at work, our boss sends an e-mail each morning telling who is out for the day – and for the week ahead. Usually the e-mail will look something like this:

Out Today:
Janice - WEDI conference

Tuesday:

Wednesday:
Don - PM
Janice - PM

Thursday:

Friday:
Lisa
Danielle

Monday -2/19:

Tuesday:

Wednesday:

Thursday:

Friday:
Andy

Anyway………other people will respond to the e-mail if they have anything to add. Yesterday, someone responded saying that they had a doctor’s appointment at 3:00. This is pretty common.

Well, the boss responds back saying that he would like a little more “heads up” than just a few hours.

Now, this irritated me (and others). Usually, if I make a doctor’s appointment it is because one of the kids are sick and I usually call that morning for an appointment later in the day. I don’t seem to have the knack of predicting days ahead of time when someone will get sick.

Now to the “funny” part……

Seems my boss is off sick today. I don’t recall him giving advanced notice that he would be sick today.

Good morning cliquless crew. The kids are out of school today fighting away.:rolleyes1 They would probably say mom is on her computer AGAIN.

Thanks everyone for the responses about my DS's friend at school. The teacher handled it perfect. This is the first time I've called a teacher before but I'm glad I did so this problem would not escalate. The teacher did agree that this is "competiteve" in natrue and that we should look at seperating them next year. Hopefully my DS will pick up some tips for handeling such situations and use them in the future. I think any parent just hopes that their kids pick up the skills to handle the the put-downs and the one-upping....I'm sure there is more to come.

Lesa...I know the boy scouts do the tent camping but shouldn't they upgrade the girls to a sap day....they are behing the times.:rotfl:

Yolanda...good luck to you and your DH. How exciting for him.:goodvibes

Pozey...aren't bosses a hoot....and thy wonder why no on likes them. :rolleyes1

Yeah Michele...glad Blake got to come home last night. I guess he's racking up airline points for your next getaway!;) :woohoo:

Ashley...don't feel bad about spilling the blood. I'm glad she has a check-up...mabye her eye will be better and they won't have to draw blood again (or at least we will hope it is).

I'll be back my youngest is just now asking for some dinosaur oatmeal!

Young love!
Madison just told me today about a boy she likes in her class. She said "I don't think he's, you know the word mom".
Me "cute?"
Her "yep, I just like him!"
:cloud9: that is too cute!
I just got an email from Maddie's brownie leader about a family camping night....in a tent!!! We would have to bring our own tent! Do they sell a tent with a bed and a bathroom already attached?
 tent...no thank you.

Good news for me...Blake came home last night. :cool1: Sometimes it's good to be the boss

Have a great day! TGIF!!
:yay: Glad Blake made it home early:cool1: Don't be playing w/his butt:rotfl2: Sorry, couldn't resist!

YourMajesty::Sorry you're having to deal with the bullies at school. Nathan has been coming home with little bruises on his chest......I saw them one day when I was getting his clothes out for school. He told me a kid had been trying to pinch his "chest parts" as you would say. I questioned him about who was doing it and right now I'm keeping an eye on him, hopefully no more bruises.

I would love to collect snowglobes.....I had my eye on a couple when we were at the MK.princess:

Linda:: Thank goodness you had your five year old with you at the paper towel dispenser!!! What would you do without Master Kenny??!!:rotfl:
Good luck with the situation with your ex; I think you have everything under control!!:thumbsup2

Well, gotta run for today!!! Nathan has a dentist appt. at 3:30 and Gary is working from home today. I can't figure out whether to take him to work with me or come home to get him later?? Oh, well.....Have a great Friday !!!
Nathan having bruises:guilty: poor little guy! Kids are so cruel!
Arent the snowglobes at wdw so awesome!!! They just have a more magical memory to bring home too...
Yeah, thankfully I had a 5 year old to figure it out for me:rotfl2: Yes I, I mean my attorney, has it under control ;) she is very confident it won't change at all. Thanks for the wonderful breakfast. I wish I were there!!!:cloud9:

Wow, people DO read my stuff!! Glad you liked it, feel free to use it any time. ;)

Ashley: Don't worry about the spilled syringe. My mom once dropped a syringe of some medication my brother was on - the stuff cost $1500.00 each (insurance wouldn't cover it) and it shattered all over the room!! That was about 5 years ago and she still beats herself up over it. I would too, that $$ could've been a Disney vacation!! I hope Ruby gets better soon, I'm sure she'll bounce back just fine.

Yay for Friday! Today is the day my tax refund was scheduled for direct deposit. Next stop: bank website to check on it. I hope it's here... after all, I have to save money for my next vacation!!
$1500:scared1: yikes. Yay for the refund:yay:

Here are some pictures of my snowglobes; sorry for the poor quality.
:cheer2: Your snowglobes are so awesome!!! I love how you have them displayed! So awesome. I don't really think I "collect" snowglobes...I collect DISNEY in general:laughing: Those are too awesome!
Good morning everyone!
Well, were going up to Telluride for my DH's 40th birthday so i will be absent for a few days.

It looks like DH got the job! :cool1: They are flying us both out in 2 weeks to meet with them and discuss the final numbers. He is the only candidate they are looking at.
Well, Happy Birthday to your DH! Congrats on the new job. That will be so awesome!

Seems my boss is off sick today. I don’t recall him giving advanced notice that he would be sick today.
:rotfl: That is funny and irritating. My boss can be the same way. Even more irritating, he'll only say something to certain people:rolleyes: The more you need your job...the harder he is on you. If you just act like you do NOT need this job they treat you like gold:rotfl:

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone. It just doesn't seem like Friday. Since I was off work Tues. and Wed.:rolleyes1 but I'll take it!!

Good morning once again my "computer friends!":lmao: Gracie seems to think it is a wonderful morning. She is racing back and forth though the kitchen as fast as she can, stopping to take a drink every once in a while. I think she needs more outdoor time! I hope it is warmer where you all are, as it is -4 here. I should shut my mouth because at least the sun is shining! Did you all see where those poor people were stuck on the highway for something like 20hrs.:scared1:

Lesa: you have the best holiday graphics for your signature! Where do you get them all?
Thank you! Google is my friend!:thumbsup2

Well SIL didn't come home today. Her IH (Idiot husband) got her to the airport with 15 mins to spare. So she and the kids hopefully will be home on Saturday.
Now the door on Steven's truck squeeks when you open it!
Sorry your family didn't make it home. Now you will know when Steven is home!;) Always look for the positive!:rotfl2:

I don't watch Grey's Anatomy but everyone on the boards is all worked up over something...and now I'm curious about whats going on and it just might kill me!
It was a sad, sad, sad day on Grey's last night!:sad1: It continues next week.

I feel alittle stupid and really guilty.
Tonight after giving Ruby her second dose of antibiotics I spelled almost all of one of the syringes. It is pretty inexpensive (the medication was only $12 for two) but it makes me feel guilty because if she needs more now and she needs to get her blood taken again because I spilled it. I don't want to cause her any more pain.

I don't know what I was thinking. I'm just not used to using those syringe things.

Anyway, just wanted to vent because I feel bad, and its a waste of money and now I'll maybe have to pay for her blood to get drawn again too.

I have a whole other syringe left over, and she does have a check-up Saturday so I can tell the vet then.
Don't feel bad, mistakes happen. I once spilled all of Madison's antibiotic after she only had one dose. I hope her eye is looking better. Tell her to stay away from kitty, kitty not friend!;)
That would be the only way I would go!!!
Good news for me...Blake came home last night. He decided that the show they were at had gotten slow. It ended last night. So he figured he would head out and have the other guy pack up and he was going to the airport to see if he could change his flight. Luckily he could and was home around 10 Sometimes it's good to be the boss
Some how I think if I don't go I will be "that" mom, the only one that wouldn't take her dd camping! I'm think I'll be feeling a bit ill by then!;) I'll just keep telling myself, one night, it's just for one night. Somehow I don't think that's working!:rolleyes1 I'm glad Blake made it home early!:cool1: I forgot to tell you, my not so DSister sent the girls a letter telling them that she is coming in the spring and would they like to stay at the hotel with her.:scared1: Like that will happen!!!

Hi, everyone!! I may have to make Michele the official fixer of breakfast.....I can't seem to be able to drag myself out of bed this week.

Lesa:: When is the Brownie camping event? Nathan and Gary go to one for Cub Scouts every June. Thank goodness I get to pass on the tent camping. I always laugh and tell them if there's not at least a Hilton nearby; I'm not going!!!
How cute about Madison and the boy she likes!! Maybe she was tring to come up with the word "hot", but you replaced it with "cute"!!! Good mom.
Well, gotta run for today!!! Nathan has a dentist appt. at 3:30 and Gary is working from home today. I can't figure out whether to take him to work with me or come home to get him later?? Oh, well.....Have a great Friday !!!
I could give you a wake up call every morning!;) I can't believe a kid was pinching Nathan! What is wrong with kids!:sad2: I bet you were furious when you found out. She didn't say exactly when the camp out would be. I just hope it is during warmer weather. My idea of camping is in a camper with all the amminities, I do not go in outhouses! I do not shower with bugs! I don't even really like eating outside with bugs!:rolleyes1 The girls have a dentist appointment today too!

Good morning everyone!

Well, were going up to Telluride for my DH's 40th birthday so i will be absent for a few days.

I'm with you all on the camping thing-- I don't like it and I don't do it. Just not my thing.

It looks like DH got the job! They are flying us both out in 2 weeks to meet with them and discuss the final numbers. He is the only candidate they are looking at.

Well, gotta go finish packing. Have a great weekend everyone!
:bday: to your DH! My dh turns 40 this year too.:scared: Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Have fun!! Congratulations on your DH new job!:dance3: I forgot where you would be relocating to.

Well the girls have a 1/2 today and no school on Monday. What to do, what to do? I'll think of something!

Have a great Friday everyone!

Amber: You do have a lot of snowglobes!:lmao: I saw some in there that I would'nt mind having myself! I'll have to show Madison when she gets home.

Sounds like separating them would be a great idea for next year. I know its normal but it is still heartbreaking for us moms! Kenny sees me head for the computer and he'll say " Mike, she's getting on the disboards AGAIN":rotfl: Have fun w/the kiddos at home today!

I wish I was there to see Gracie. I thought it was hilarious to watch our dog run around so fast like that. We'd start clapping and she'd just keep going and going. We had basically a loop around the house she would run around. It was just too funny! If the camping was in warm weather, I could survive a night...but that doesn't mean I'd enjoy it ;) I would do it for Kenny though, just b/c I know he would love it. I didn't see the highway for 20 hrs...yuck. I'd hate that. Plus I'd freeze to death. I am so bad about letting my tank get low. When you fill up every other day, it doesn't take long to get low:rolleyes1 I hate standing in the freezing cold filling up! Our house was below 0 today too! Brrrr! I can't wait to get home and enjoy that corn burner:woohoo:

Well..it happened... Mike got served papers. His youngest son is sueing him for his college fund that he didn't go to college for and wants the $$$:sad2: I guess he doesn't realize it's going to cost him much more than that, his relationship w/his father. Not that he cares I guess. Just sad! I don't see how he thinks that $ is his...but I guess the judge will decide. In Kennys 529 plan it says if you don't go to college, it's the parents b/c THEY put the money in there! Guess we'll see!

Linda- The nerve of Mike's son!:furious: He didn't go to school so he shouldn't get the money. It's as simple as that! I feel so bad for your DH because it's his own son doing this to him. :sad2: :grouphug:

Gracie is funny to watch when she does this. She gets going so fast that she will slide on the floor into the walls and cabinets, but she just keeps on going! She ran for a good 20 minutes, now she will nap in a sun spot for the rest of the afternoon.

That child does not deserve a dime! I'm sorry Mike is going to have to go through this. I bet it breaks his heart to have his son sue him.:sad2: I have a few family members that are just like him.

Exactly! What is even more annoying, he's claiming he has bills for the 6 months he did go to school from 3 years ago. Mike told him to bring them over and he'd pay them...he says his bills aren't any of his business and to just give him the $. NO WAY!

Gracie needed to get some energy out:rotfl: Too funny!

I agree. He doesn't deserve a dime either. I know it has to break his heart. It is so hard when it's your kids:sad2: You want to help them, but sometimes, I think we help them too much. then they expect it. They go to court next month, so I guess we'll see what the judge says.
His other son says he doesn't want involved and isn't loosing a days wages to testify the truth:eek: after all we've done to help him! I paid a weeks wages to help them for Kenny and I to be in their wedding! So soon we forget:sad2:

How old is he? That's sad that his other son won't even help his dad out. Can he write a letter at least?

A bit off topic: I've been thinking, you need to write a book with all the Kenny stories you have. You should title it: The World According to Kenny. I bet it would be a best seller!:lmao:

They're 21 & 25. I guess it's just all so unbelievable to me b/c the way I was raised was so different. I had to earn everything myself. If I wanted anything, I had to pay for it. I mean as soon as I was in HS..I bought my own school clothes, supplies...everything. My mom gave me $20 a month for lunches. Thankfully my grandparents bought my first car, but I had to pay any repairs, insurance, cell phone... you name it.
These boys had everything paid. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that they could do that for them. I just don't think they appreciated it. It gets under my skin b/c I know how hard it CAN be. They don't have a clue. A letter is a great idea! Thanks! I'll have to email Mike and tell him to try that. I think about him moving out at 25, dad paying for everything and he wouldn't even fill the kool aid after drinking it all and stupid petty crap like that. I guess all I can do is be there for Mike and make notes on how to try to do things differently w/Kenny!

"The world according to Kenny" That would be great!:cheer2: The things he comes up would keep someone rolling for sure! "it took a 5 year old to figure it out" :rotfl2: I guess 1/2 of it is also knowing him and the WAY he says it...the expression and certainty in his voice:rotfl: I think you're on to something. Ok I have to tell you this:lmao: Mike said his back was killing him last night so I went to get some massage oil. I headed back to the bedroom to get it and said "oh good, now I get to play w/your butt" just messing around. Kenny was in his bed. He sat up and says "I heard that":lmao:

That is so sad his other son won't even testify! I would, even if it ruined my relationship with my sister.

honestly, I don't think he has a choice in the matter. He just won't like it. He's worried about loosing less than $100, even if it costs his dad thousands:sad2: that is what is so pathetic to me! I'm with you. I would do it too, regardless. I was just telling my mom last night that she should take my dad back for child support. He left when I was 3 and my sister was 6. He never paid a penny child support. I told her she should try to take him back. Its worth checking into considering he has more than 1/2 his $ left at the end of the month and owes her about 50k. I'm so tired of people getting away w/o taking care of their responsibilities, and people trying to get something that isn't theirs to begin with!!! I think I might have to dig out the hot tub and relax!

Thank goodness for 1/2 days:rolleyes: (I'm being sarcastic here) Brittany wanted me to change her dentist appointment this afternoon to another day so she could go "hang" with her friends. When I told her no, we went into the whole song and dance on how she hates that I always tell her no. (these eyes don't roll back far enough) Then she went into how our rules are stupid such as not being being able to have a personal page (her friends mom lets her (said in a preteen serious attitude voice) Then we went from that to how I won't buy her clothes from Victoria Secrets.:scared1:  Add to that, I make her do chores, and won't pay for her to text message her friends. I know how can I be so mean? So, being the mean mother that I am:teeth: told her if she thought our rules were stupid and did not want to follow them, then I felt she has to earn all privileges from now on, starting with sitting in the front seat. We were on our way to the dentist so that was the best one I could come up with. Hee Hee Hee! I made her move to the back seat:rolleyes1 You would have thought I emptied her closet of all her clothes and filled it with garage sale rags!:lmao: Boy was she not happy!;) She kept on yakking on how stupid it all was, yada, yada, yada........soooooo, this is good:teeth: I turned on some awful gospel music, loudly! She called me immature, can you believe she called me immature?popcorn:: Anyway she didn't talk to me the rest of the way.:confused3:lmao: Then to top it all off,
when we got to the dentist she had to listen to Paul Harvey!:lmao: :rotfl2: Awwww.....she just came in and said she was sorry for her behavior!

After the dentist we went and picked up lunch at McDonald's. They had Shamrock shakes!:cool1: :dance3:

Well, got to run, Madison is now providing my afternoon entertainment! :) I have to watch her made up cheers.:upsidedow

Thanks Lesa :)

Glad to hear Brittany had a change of heart:teeth:

:cheer2: Go Madison...Go Madison:cheer2: Oh the things I miss only having a boy... ;)
