Angela...Mike and I were married at Cocoa Beach in April this year. We were at wdw, of coarse ;) and I didn't want to go far from the parks. The wedding planner kept trying to talk me into the beachs on the gulf side...white beautiful sandy beaches...but I had to keep telling her...we DON'T want to be that far from WDW!! So we decided on cocoa beach and it was wonderful. It was beautiful at sunset.I could send you some pix if you'd like... plus it isn't far from the port so we go there sometimes right before we leave on our cruises. we never went in the water there though...so, can't help much on that part.
Sorry your boys were hurt on Christmas. That was so inconsiderate of them:rolleyes: Sound like my sister!

April...so sorry for your "psycho" neighbor up north. Good luck and hope your new neighbor is just excited to have nice new neighbor like yourself and will calm down soon:grouphug:

Dznyfan... love the pix!! Happy Birthday Belle...I mean Erin ;):bday: party: :bday:

Sorry Pozey:hug: I hate my cube too...there are only about 6 of us in this immediate area though, so that isn't near as bad...but it's freezing!! then again, I'm use to my house being 76:rolleyes1 Sorry your vac. got denied:sad2:

lyzziesmom...I went to target too ;) I was looking for my nephew a OSU jersey or something since he's suck a Buckeye fan:cloud9:

well, time for that wonderful commute home!! Have a great one everybody!!

Pozey:: Hugs to you!! That is horrible! I'm really sorry you aren't able to keep your plans with the Fiesta Bowl. That just really stinks. Then to add insult to injury the cube move. I don't know what else to say but I'm sorry.

DznyFan:: Great pics! I know what you mean about always being behind the camera. Although, I'm getting better at asking someone to snap our picture or make someone in our party take different pictures.

Speaking of pictures and fun in Disney. . . after that migraine I never got to finish my boring trip report with pics. I can finish it if you all want but I'll have to do it in spurts. Instead of gung ho and trying to sit here for hours typing up days of trip reports.

I really need a new desk and chair that is ergonomically correct. I'm just not sure where to look. :scratchin
Ya'll have any suggestions?

Thanks everyone for the well wishes of potential psycho neighbor. I'm not sure if she's really psycho (my last neighbor truly WAS!!) but I'm sooo gun shy from the last wack-o-deliac that I don't want to take ANY chances!! :sad2: Boundaries, boundaries, boundaries. Better to establish them now then like someone else said (sorry can't remember) have to retrain later.

Be back later. . .

Great pics Dznyfan!

Like Pozey said, it is nice to finally have a face to place with the name! I thought that about everyone that sent a pic in the Christmas cards that I had not seen a pic of before.

I know what you mean. You've ALL definitely seen tons of pix of Kenny:rolleyes1 I tried to call him...the answering machine again:sad2:

April...of coarse we wanna see more disney pix and to hear about your trip!!

Hi!!!:magnify: I'm alive and pretty well!!! I apologize that my Cliquless darlins' had to go without breakfast this morning. (at least until Amber posted the lovely brunch!:goodvibes ) My internet connection was down; DH had to re-boot when he finally got up!! By that time I had to go in to pay a couple of bills online and didn't have time to post breakfast.:sad1: It was however; a tough decision.....feed my buddies or pay the bills?? The bills won!!:rolleyes1

April::Sorry you're having trouble with your neighbor. Ours are pretty far away; and thank goodness I've never had that problem!! I think I agree with everyone else who said to lay some ground rules and play it cool.
I would LOVE to hear the rest of your trip report. Pace yourself and don't overdo staring at the computer!!:goodvibes

pozey:: That's just awful that you and Mrs. pozey don't get to go to the Fiesta Bowl!!! I can understand Mrs. P's furiousness(sp?)!!!
Sorry about your cubicle move. Hope things improve for you. :grouphug:

lyzziesmom:: Hope you're feeling better about yourself. I happen to think you're a really cool mom and I admire you tremendously for raising two beautiful young girls!!!:cutie: :cutie:
Mickey's Christmas message sounded pretty cool!!! I wish I would have gotten one!!princess:

Angela:: Too bad about the SIL/gift issues!!! I feel so sorry for your poor boys having to watch all the presents getting unwrapped!!! My sister has an ex-stepson (complicated relation) that has four kids. We have to plan a special night, usually on the 23rd, to exchange presents with them. Not that they actually bring presents, they just show up to receive them!!!:rolleyes1

YourMajesty:: I'm so happy to hear you're feeling better!!! No fair on getting the flu in order to get a head start on the weight loss.....cheater!!!:snooty:......

Amber::Thanks for the brunch!!! I haven't had supper yet...it was YUMMY!!!!

Nicole::: I didn't mean to desert you this morning!!! I promise to have breakfast waiting in the morning!!! (As long as the internet cooperates!!):surfweb: ;)

Dznyfan:: I loved seeing your pictures!!! HI!!! Nice to see you again!!!

I'm going to post this before it gets too late!!! Hi to everyone!!:yay: :yay:

I'm not about to forget Erin's birthday!!!
Happy Birthday, Erin!!!!!

happybirthdayprincessbelle.JPG

Whasssssuuuup??????

How's everyone??

I'm okay. (just in case you asked):3dglasses (I think this one may be my new smartypants toothy grinny smiley----cuz I'm still whining about the one who deserted me.)

I ended up staying home today because I just was not feeling well after yesterday. It just wiped me out, so I slept until about 11am this morning, I'm embarrassed to say. I guess I needed it. I'm not sure how work handled it, but they knew I had the treatment and they are the ones who suggested I try to do them on my day off. So, needless to say I felt icky and had to recoup. The end.

Onward James.........

April----wow, what a situation you have on your hands. I think everyone gave some really good advice already, but I wanted to say that I wouldn't jump the gun just yet. I do agree that you definitely need to set some boundaries right off the bat. She sounds lonely, but coming over and knocking on someone's door at 9pm is a bit uncalled for. She possibly doesn't adhere to these "rules" due to her 2nd shift schedule, but she should respect that this is a bit late to "visit". I would be nice to her but set the rules straight. Good luck to you and Steven. The other neighbor, though-----whew!!!!!!

YM---feeling better, cupcake?? oops, sorry to mention food.:3dglasses Not that I need a tummy bug, but I've been eating everything under the sun....and.....well, you know where I'm going with this one.:3dglasses
PM's not working?? How dare they. I'll test it out.

Lyzziesmom---yay for ME papers!!!!! What time are you getting into Orlando?? I haven't booked my flight yet (still watching prices) but I am trying for a couple that either bring me in between 10-11am. One is Southwest and the other is American. I'll let you know which one I get. I checked prices today and still a bit steep, so I figure I'll give them another week till after the first of the year and see what they do. If not, I will go ahead and book it then.
I think you are the one who asked to which area my sister is moving?? Delray Beach, most likely. This is where they lived before so I've almost positive they will go back to that area. In fact, I think they are looking at the same house that they almost bought before the move fell through a couple of months ago.:confused3 :confused3 I can't keep up with them.:3dglasses
Yay, Mickey called Emma!!!!!

QOD----In the past year or so, in my old age:3dglasses , I have chosen to stay at home for New Year's Eve. I'm not a huge fan of ammature (sp??) night. This year, however, I have a few options. My aunt and uncle who were not able to be there for Christmas is having a family gathering around 2pm. I just found out from my other aunt----my mom has yet to tell me about this. I haven't decided if I am going or not------I've a alot of family lately.:3dglasses My next option is a friend of mine who moved to Alabama a few years ago. She called and said that another friend of hers, who actually lives just a couple of streets over from me, is having a small gathering. Jennifer (my Alabama friend) thinks that I would really like this group of people, but to tell you the truth, the way I feel and look right now, I'm not much in the mood to meet new people. I'm having a hard enough time right now mustering up the confidence for Feb. WDW.:scared1: :3dglasses I know (hope) you guys are non-judgemental, though.:) My final option is a friend who lives about five minutes away from me. This would be really low-key-----comfy sweats, carry-out or simple appetizers, movie, games, whatever. Or, I may opt to just stay home. I will decide most likely that morning.:rolleyes1

Long enough answer for you??:cool2:

Your Oragetini's sound yum.
I got the POTC version of the game of "Life". My mom snuck it in her suitcase from WL giftshop (snuck it from me----not from paying for it:laughing: ). I'm dying to play it pirate: but my friend who I may join that evening doesn't quite understand my WDW nor my JD obsession. Too bad we all don't live a bit closer together----I know you guys would happily play it with me.

Amber---thanks for subbing for Donna this morning. Your candlelit brunch looks yummy.
I think the calling before coming over is excellent advice. Works for me.

Angela----aww, hugs for Connor and Ben!!!! How inconsiderate of your SIL to allow her children to open all of the gifts while knowing that Connor and Ben couldn't and to see Connor get upset and still go on doing it!!!! Unbelievable. Would it have hurt her girls so much to tell them there has been a change of plans and they could open them in an hour or so when they got home??

Hope Connor is feeling a bit better.

Oh, Finding Neverland is seriously one of my absolute favorite movies of all times!!!! I think I ranted and raved about this movie several months ago here----and not just because of JD. To me, every aspect of this movie-----dialogue, musical score, costumes, setting, casting (;))---EVERYTHING is just so beautifully done!!!!! Get the tissues ready------warning!!!! I love the story of Peter Pan though, and have seen it several times on stage, so to see this movie about J.M. Barrie who wrote Peter Pan was very meaningful. I know it was only "based on true events", but his imagination and the way he wrote his works was outstanding. Can you tell I LOOOVE this movie?? And, did I mention JD looks mighty spiffy in his tux?? YUM.:rolleyes1

Sorry, I'm no help with the beach thing while in Orlando. The closest I've come is the Poly beach.:3dglasses

Thanks for the suggestion of Mr. Darcy's Daughters. I'll have to check it out. Did you happen to see Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightly??

Nicole----Be careful if you get that glass of champagne. Momma hen talkin' here.:rolleyes1

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BELLE OF THE BALL-----MISS ERIN!!!!!!

DznyFan----great pics!!!! Aahhhh, the flood of memories, huh?? I was going to play "NAME THAT RESTAURANT" but I was going to say Concourse Steakhouse. I was WRONG!!! I should have known Chef Mickey's. At least I was in the correct building. Nice to "meet" ya. Lovely family.
The one with you and the Chief Mouse is darling!!!

Pozey---wow, you've had a rough week!!! I'm sorry that you were feeling under the weather for Christmas. And that stinks that your vacation request got denied and you had to cancel your trip. And you got a poopy cube!!!!! You need a serious vacation, dude!!! But, I'm sure you know that already. I hope things begin to start looking up once again.

Michele-----Lesa got called out on her poker skills??? NEVER!!!!
And I don't blame you one bit about not allowing Briana to venture to Canada!! Sorry Briana, if you are reading this. Another couple of years until you are legal in the states aren't going to hurt. I shouldn't talk, though-----I drank more in high school than I do now----and I went to a Catholic school. :3dglasses

Linda----you haven't gotten to talk to Kenny yet?? What's up with that?? I'm sure he'll call you soon. He did that the last time, right??

Betty----computer problems again??? We were worried!!!! Especially since you said you're not feeling well. Don't worry, we didn't starve.:3dglasses At least you were thinking of us. Did your DH just laugh at you??

Thanks for the suggestion of Mr. Darcy's Daughters. I'll have to check it out. Did you happen to see Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightly??

I just watched that a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it!! Although my favorite is the BBC/PBS version with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. I found a lot of other Pride & Prejudice sequels or prequels that I'm going to get from the Library. One is Darcy's Diary which tells things from his side during Pride & Prejudice (and got good reviews on amazon) and also An assembly such as this : a novel of Fitzwilliam Darcy, gentleman which is the first in a stand alone series about Mr. Darcy (I think it also is the other side of the story) also good reviews but the first is said to be more in depth, I'll keep you posted!

Sorry for the late :bday: Erin!!! Dznyfan loved your pics and so nice to put a face on you! Very cute pictures!!

YourMajesty:: I'm so happy to hear you're feeling better!!! No fair on getting the flu in order to get a head start on the weight loss.....cheater!!!:snooty:......

:yay:

Hey Donna...glad you just had a "connection" problem.;) Boy I thought you were going to go all out and call me a "cheater pants"(haha).... At least I've been able to be on the boards today. Yesterday I couldn't even sit up in bed I was so tired...

DznyFan...great pictures. Nice of Erin's friend to bring by the CD today...just what you needed on your slow day. Hope you are enjoying a nice b-day dinner with Erin.

Pozey...boy your day went from bad to worse...is your boss mad at you? :sad2: I'm sure glad you didn't fork out hundreds of dollars for plane tickets. My boss made me share my desk with a co-worker and took my phone away and made me share becuase she hares part-time workers.:confused3 :headache: Hang in there...I hope you and your DW get to enjoy a nice dinner and movie.

April...yes we would love for you to share more of your trip. Like someone said...you are a very good storyteller...:)

Well folks I'm not as good as I once was.... It's taking me a while to get over this little flu/stomach bug. Must have been the birthday (insert a couple of teeth smilies here)

I forgot to share a cute Christmas story about my cousin's little girl. She (her name is Emma, too:goodvibes ) is three, I think?? Anyway, my cousin (Julie) was telling me that on Christmas Eve Emma was a bit concerned about Santa coming inside her house. Julie spoke to her and she seemed to be okay, as long as she closed Emma's bedroom door. Well, as the evening progressed, Julie all of a sudden heard sobbing coming from Emma's room. She went in to find out what the problem was and said that Emma was really upset and said in her little voice, "I don't want Santa coming into my house!!!" Julie asked her how he was going to get the presents inside and Emma responded that he should leave them on the front porch and that her mommy and daddy would take them from there. Then Emma suggested they leave a note telling Santa this information. Julie said that she wrote exactly what Emma told her to write-----"SANTA, DON'T COME INSIDE MY HOUSE". She didn't even want to leave Santa cookies----instead she left him a pre-wrapped Rice Crispie Treat.

The next morning when Emma woke up to the gifts under the tree, Julie said she got a strange look on her face and asked quite bluntly if mommy and daddy brought them in from the porch. They assured her that they did.

Evidentally one of Santa's "helpers" at the mall frightened her a bit.:confused3

Did someone say cupcake....
vomito.gif

Be right back...and try out the PM thingy while I'm gone...just to see if it works.:rotfl:

Did she go to the same mall the Ralphie went too?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I just watched that!!!!!

YM------I just sent you the longest PM ever known to man and kept getting a database error. So, you either didn't get it at all, or you got it nine times. Ooops. Let me know.

Or, just like me when my tummy is icko-----plain 'ol soda crackers (that I can fit WHOLE in my mouth:3dglasses ) and 7-up??

The PM Thingys are REALLY messed up!!! Can't be me.

Do any of you receive the weekly newsletter from Allears.net? There is an article written about a " few of our favorite things" in WDW. I will post part of it if you don't mind. It's really is ironic.

...the drop on Splash Mountain. Watch out for that step, it's a
doozy! It's the big kid in me, I know, but I just love that
drop, even though, despite what some of my best friends have
assured me over the years, you DO get that wet, especially if
you sit in the front. I'm sure I'm so fond of the drop because
of the many happy memories associated with it -- there was the
time when I sat in front on an unusually cold (for Florida)
winter's evening and got completely drenched after
aforementioned friends assured me that we'd be fine; there was
the time I rode with my niece Lindsey when she was just 4 and
her father and I tried to shield her, unsuccessfully, from the
splashes, and we were then chided by her squeaky little voice:
"Well, I don't do need to do THAT ride again!" And of course
there's my very best memory of that big drop -- riding with a
group of crazy internet women friends, many of whom had just met
in real life for the first time that weekend, and my seatmate,
Pam, throwing her arms up at the moment of the big plunge with a
look of sheer ectasy on her face, captured by the Splash
Mountain camera forever in a photograph that has come to be
known as the "Splash-gasm." That Splash Mountain drop has to be
one of my favorite things -- even if I don't ride it every time
I'm in Disney World, I find myself standing at the bottom of the
falls, at least for a few minutes, watching the logs as they
tumble down, smiling as I hear the squeals of the delighted, or
indignant, as they slosh through the water.

I read this and smiled......:) :goodvibes
