Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 2

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening from the past two days (or has it been three??)-----anyway-----HI from me.

It has been one you know what of a week so far and it is still going. Busy, busy, crazy, and more busy.

I'll be honest and admit that I just skimmed the past couple of days, so I will highlight-----what I can remember.

Amber----were you the only ones there?? I don't recall ever seeing WDW this empty!!! Stitch all by his lonesome?? Craziness.
Wonderful pics-----I really would love to see more, too.

Michele-----wheew, good thing Detroit is not as dangerous as St. Louis, or else your treck from the airport might have gotten a bit sticky. :teeth: A direction savvy homeless guy?? Brave woman, you. And Matt's comment about you driving from Australia had me cracking up.

YM---how's ds feeling???? Poor kiddo. Watch those mood swings on the pred. :teeth:
Hope he's doing alright now. How's Sophie's cough??

Donna----wonderful cherry danish this morning. Thanks, doll!!!!
Did you find the tink ornament for dh??

Lesa----you sound like you've been a busy girl!! Now can you sit back and relax?? (and have a *ahem* vanilla frosty?? maybe spiked with something??)

Lyzziesmom----DO NOT OPEN DOORS TO STRANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You were lucky, chica!!!!!!!!
don't do it again!!!!

QOD--- I can already hear the music playing in the background------"le vie en rose"---

FRANCE, BABY, FRANCE!!!!!!!!!!

my second choice would be Italy (since my Italiano heritage)

For all of the POFQ stayers------I doubt the food court at POR will effect us that much. Ours may just be a bit more crowded?? When I was at WL last Feb. the Roaring Forks was down for rehab. I found out only a few weeks before leaving and I was so bummed out because it was a solo trip and I planned on alot of grab-n-go. To be honest, it ended up being fine. They still had bagels, sandwiches, etc.----just not hot items. And if it is POR, not ours, I think it should be just fine. IMO.

Hi to everyone----sorry if I missed anyone or anything.

oh, forgot to mention----I got my first Christmas gift from a client today------she handed me a card and told me that I must open it in front of her because she wanted to see me laugh. It was a DISNEY GIFT CARD!!!!!!
She said she thought it would come in handy for Feb.
:teeth:

I also got some good/nervewracking news today---my new treatments were finally approved. Now I just need to figure out scheduling.
and......I'm a bit nervous!!!

Congrats on the treatment approval, 2x!! I know this is something you've been waiting for for a very long time. I hope it works for you! Do your clients know you or what? I keep hinting to my mom that I'd like a Disney gift card, or Disney Dollars, but I don't think she's getting the hint. Even if she is... I can't remember the last time that woman has set foot in a mall. She is a disgrace to womankind - she HATES shopping!! Hates it with a passion! I don't get it.

Amber your pictures are so great!! While we were there my digital camera just stopped working, tried new batteries and nothing. So I hope the pictures I took at Crystal Palace of the boys with the characters saved on my memory card inside my camera instead of the internal memory. I'll take it to find out tomorrow.

So of course I pack a couple of cheapie disposable cameras just in case my memory card and internal memory are packed which before the trip I'm assuming they will be, but I end of using one of the cameras and couldn't find the other. :confused3 These pictures were horrible!! Unless you're right in someones personal space the whole picture is grainey(sp?) so I will post the few that did look good. I also wanted to say that we really loved POR, I heard some negatives about bus service and it being too big and I was really impressed. I guess it's good to go into something with low expectations. It was really big but so pretty. We did a carriage ride which was sooo nice. We all enjoyed that! Just don't ask the driver to pet the horse, he said no to about 10 people while he got ready to take us. I just love the clippity clop sound, if I lived in Montana I'd have me some horses! :rotfl: One day we also rented a surrey bike, Ben rode on the front and rang the bell, Connor and I sat in the front and Darin in the back. The pool was really nice and very heated which was great. The only time we had a hard time with the buses was coming back from Epcot mid-day we waited at least 25-30 minutes. I felt a little claustrophobic not having a car but we had a great time! Alright here are my limited pictures, good thing we're going back in March. Any suggestions on a digital camera would be appreciated! :goodvibes

I'm so happy they approved your treatments, one less headache to deal with for now anyway! :goodvibes

If money and time were no object, where would you go on a "dream vacation" besides than WDW?

I would love to go to Ireland and just stay, rent a house hang out with the locals and really soak it up. Of course my plan right now and I've told Darin is that after Ben leaves for college we are going to rent an apartment/house in London and stay until January and have the boys come over for Christmas! I love the British sense of humor the dry wit and I want to hang out with Colin Firth and Rupert Murdoch. :teeth:

Lyzziesmom-----anti-shopper?? :faint: :faint:

Angela----too bad about your camera. I know my mom had alot of troubles with hers too.
I have just one of the little Canon Powershot 700. It is one of the first little ones with the anti-shake. I really like it. I had some trouble with the night shots and the fireworks shots, but I'm sure it is something I was/wasn't doing correctly. :rolleyes1

Thanks for posting some of your pics. The boys (and you) look like you're having a really good time. I have to admit that I had to take a second look at the picture of Ben in his stoller. Since it was posted right under the bathroom scene-----I thought he was sleeping in the bathtub. :teeth:

I would love to do the horsedrawn carriage ride!!!!! It is so relaxing.
Thanks for sharing.

It's time for me to get some sleep. I have another looooong day ahead of me again tomorrow.

Have a good night.

You know, it's almost funny. This thread is about 'not being in a clique', but yet the thread itself has become one. Hmmmm

Yep, no one would suspect us hiding in here, right?? :teeth: :teeth:

J/K, Jeff---

We are just a group of cliqueless ones who have gotten to know each other and have become friends over the past several months. But, we are very welcoming, so stop by and say HI anytime!! :sunny:

Just finished watching part of the Disney Vacation Planning DVD. Oh, I want to be there...N O W!!!!
Lyzziesmom, I think I ordered it about a month ago. I had almost forgotten about it. The DVD is about the Year of a Million Deams.

2x2s:: I'm so happy/relieved that your treatments were approved. I know this has to be scary for you because of the unknown/experimental factor, but I'm praying really hard that these treatments will help you tremendously.
Wow!!! What a fantastic client you have!!! A Disney Gift Card!!! What could be more perfect??? :woohoo: :woohoo:

Angela:: It's a shame about your camera, but sounded like you had a terrific trip.

Well, better say goodnight. See you in the morning. :sunny:

2x, great news about your treatment! Yippee!! And a Disney Gift Card to boot!

Where would I go if money were no object...I'll think I'd hang with Dznyfan in Europe and the UK, but also have to hit Tokyo Disney and Tokyo DisneySea, and Hong Kong Disneyland when it opens...

Today was better but I am still ready for a change.

Night to all!

Good Evening All!!

Thanks for the happy wishes for my anniversary! Steven took me to the nicest restaurant out over looking the lake. The music was great, the food was great, the whole ambiance was great. I had two Blackcherry Martini's so now here I am trying to recreate them. I'm on my third.

Today, I've been working my butt off. We finally got our shed. I'm sure you're all tired of hearing about how we moved from a 2 bathroom, 3 bedroom house with an attic and large crawl space and shed into a tiny little 2 bedroom 1 bath home w/ no attic, crawl space and barely any closets. But, it's been tough. Alot of our stuff is in storage so now with the shed (that will be like our attic) we're moving our stuff...again! It's like moving all over again! Plus, I've been washing and ironing up summery clothes for our trip and scrubbing and cleaning so that I can have a clean house before I leave. Making reservations with the kennels for Kujo the dog (Tucker) and Lucky the Wonder Cat. Going away is hard work. :faint: But truth is, I can't wait! I was so excited to receive our confirmation and a cute little email from Disney Vacation Club talking about our upcoming trip. I know, I'm such a sap.

OK, I'm off to try and catch up. . . :tiptoe:

Hey everyone :wave2:

I'm back!!! I missed you guys. :grouphug: My computer actually isn't fixed yet- but for a combined Anniversary (December 9)/Birthday (Jeremiah's birthday is December 20) and Christmas gift  Jeremiah's dad surprised him with a laptop! So I'm using his until mine is fixed. I'm so grateful for it! I can't believe how much I depend on the computer to keep me company! It's been nice to not have to do school work but I need to get back on the ball!

Did you guys figure out the Christmas Card Exchange?? I posted that because I really wasn't sure how long I would be without a computer and I wanted to make sure I got my cards sent out!. Who knows with those warrenty places, it could be a day for them to fix it or a month!! Apparently, my AC jack that puts the charger into the computer went bye-bye so my computer wouldn't recognize that the charger was plugged into it, and my battery doesn't last too long. They've had the computer since yesterday because it took so long to get there, and I called today to get an update and apparently they already are fixing the problem. So I think I'll have it early next week.

So, whats new? Looks like I missed ALOT!!!! I'll say it again, I missed you guys!! :lovestruc

ETA: Lyzziesmom, I just got the updated list! THANK YOU so much!!!

Lyzziesmom:: Congrats on getting the Nutcracker tickets! :thumbsup2 Hope you have a great time!
What is the stupidest (clean) joke you know?
OK, here goes. . . .

Question: Why did the dog go swimming?

Answer: Because he was a hotdog.

2x2s:: The Tink ornament is darling. I'm a huge Pooh fan (so glad I got those Crystal Palace Pooh character meal ressies :thumbsup2 ) and I was able to get the "I'll Always Be Pooh" ornament

I think I may have to check out the Hallmark store today!!! She is sooo cute!!! DH thinks Tink is THE WOMAN!!! :rolleyes1
This is what I always say to DH. Tink is a real woman with real hips and real attitude!

Keagansmom:: :grouphug: I'm sorry things turned out the way they did with the principal and there really wasn't any closure. You've got a great attitude, "It will all work out in the end." Hang in there.

Hey, Angela :wave2:

I'm sure he'll act surprised. I guess all in all, it wasn't such a bad thing (except I love the surprises on Christmas...), because he said besides the fact that maybe the surprise was blown, it really put him in the Christmas spirit because he got a glimpse at the "behind the scenes" action for Christmas.

I guess I'm kind of like Disney - nobody ever sees the magic get accomplished - it's just there.

You've learned well, young grasshopper.
Sometimes these things happen. At least it was a good surprise. One time I was the recipient of a not so nice forward. Me and about 100 other people got to read what someone really thought about all of us. Boy was that um, awkward.

Ssssslllloooowwww thread today!

Donna, I almost did that yesterday. I got Chris a new Foreman grill for Christmas on Amazon and I didnt' realize I was signed into his account until after it had sent the email. Luckily I went to his email account and it was amazingly signed in, forwarded the email to myself and deleted it from his inbox and sent mail account.

I went shopping today for Chris and found basically nothing. I bought him some shirts at Old Navy because they were on sale for 10.00 each and that is all I accomplished in 4 hours of shopping.

I'm off to make some spaghetti!
Nice safe, Lin. I now know we are going to Cirque on Thursday of our Disney trip because I went to our email account and Steven was didn't log out of his and what should I see there? WDW confirmation for Cirque. I didn't even let him know I saw it because he did this all on his own.

Michele:: Oh my goodness what a trip! I'm so glad you made it home in one piece. Glad the luggage finally showed up. I know from personal experience what that's like.

I had a bit of a scare this evening, we were waiting for DBF to arrive so we could go to dinner. The doorbell rang and I yelled for Lyzzie to answer it. She didn't want to and I was getting a little mad, because I had to drop what I was doing to get the door. Lucky thing I did, because it was a stranger at the door! Some guy said his credit card was declined at the gas pump and he was begging for money to get home. I felt kind of bad telling him no but it was true that I don't carry cash, and also how do I know he was telling the truth? He could have easily waited until I turned around to get some money, and then barged into the house and turned out to be a homicidal maniac. It seemed weird that the guy wouldn't have anyone to call, and instead was going door to door asking for cash. I hope I did the right thing.
This may sound hard, but you probably most definately did the right thing. People are crazy today and I'm learning to trust no one, not even here in the good 'ole South. Don't be hard on yourself. It is odd that he was going door to door.

And...........Happy 9th Anniversary!!!

Thanks for the balloon, Donna. You are so thoughtful! :goodvibes

Amber:: Your pictures are breathtaking. Don't stop, keep 'em coming. What kind of camera do you have? You've got some really great pictures. I especially like the balloons and the Mad Hatter and Alice pictures. Great job.

I have two places I would go. One would be London, the UK and the other would be Dubai.

:rotfl: :lmao: I'd have done the same thing.

2x2s:: Hooray on the approved treatments!! You must have shared what they were for during one of my moving absences because I don't know what they're for but hooray for you!

Thanks for sharing your pictures, Angela. They look great to me!

Hi Ashley!! :grouphug: I was just thinking of you today. Glad you're able to post with us again! Happy Anniversary (early)! Mine and Steven's was yesterday.

Well, I think I'm all caught up. I went to Bath and Body Works today to pick up a new scent. I like to buy a new scent when I get ready to go to Disney. I use it the whole time I'm on the trip and then when I get home I don't use it for a few months. Then, when I start using it again, I think of my trip. Now, I can't use Grapefruit Jasmine w/out thinking about my 2003 trip in a 2BR with my whole family at OKW. Even my sisters are transported back when I wear my Grapefruit Jasmine body spray and lotion. My one sister will say, "Mmmm, it "smells" like OKW." I bought Japanese Cherry Blossom. It was inspired by Memoirs of a Geisha. Steven helped pick it out. It wasn't my first choice but he really liked it and he was buying so there you go.

Well, night all! Talk to you all tomorrow.-----Oh, it already is.

Good Morning everyone!!! I'm soooo happy to see all the posts from last night, I could just flip!!!! Why don't we eat someplace festive today. Perhaps 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian!!!

I hope everyone has a Thoroughly Fantastic Thursday!!!

We missed you too, Ash!!!! Welcome back!!!! :wave2: :yay: :woohoo:
You'll have to update us on what has been going on in your world!!! I hope this means that when Jeremiah is a work you will be able to use his laptop. :teeth:

APRIL:: Your Pooh ornament is darling!! Sounds like you've been one busy gal!!! In 5 days you'll be in WDW again!!!! :woohoo: You lucky girl!!!
Good luck with the storing and cleaning!!! :goodvibes

2X2S:: I didn't make it to the Hallmark store. It's been extremely busy at my work, too!!! I'm going to try to make it today or tomorrow!!

LIN:: I'm glad things have calmed down for you at work. Maybe after the holidays the situation will improve. :goodvibes

I just looke outside to check the temperature and........it's SNOWING!!!!! :cold:  I really need to listen to the weather forecast more often. WOW!!!! I doubt that it will amount to too much, but I guess I'll find out.

Have a great day!! See you all later!!!

Good Morning All!

2x2s, congrats on getting your treatments approved! As for our trip, there were days it really felt like we were the only people around. It was wonderful. I hope Feb is like that for all of you.

Angela, that sucks about your camera. I did have a couple issues with my camera too (well, batteries). I use lithium batteries, but had rechargables as backups. A few times some of the back ups wouldn't work, so I spent several minutes trying to make them (this usually would happen during a parade  ).

My camera is a Kodak z740. Mike bought it for me last year. I love the camera, but it doesn't have image stability (thus, some of my pictures didn't turn out :guilty: ) I am hoping to upgrade to a DSLR soon and think I am going with a Pentax K100D; I am beyond excited about that! :bitelip:

As for where I would go on vacation, I think I would pick Europe. (of course, if I can choose WDW, I would pick concierge at the Poly for a month then stay at each of the other resorts for a night or two).

Hope you all have a great day. I'll post more pictures soon.

Donna, thanks for the great breakfast!

Angela - that stinks about your camera, but cute pix anyway - despite the fact that they're from a disposable.

Ashley - welcome back!!!

April - you're getting close - and you're going to Cirque!!! That's exciting! Staying at OKW again??

Lin - lucky for you, you were able to intercept that email. He's actually really excited about the gift - he said "I don't know how you do it, but you knew what I wanted even when I didn't know what I wanted!".... heh, heh, heh - I just clue in!
Linzybrooke said:

Well, seeing as I'm independently wealthy, and have all the time in the world since I don't have to work, (because I'm independently wealthy) let's catch a flight to Europe!!! Most flights out of Tulsa layover in Dallas anyway! Want to go to Hawaii after Europe and Japan and China???

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: Yeah, in my dreams!

:wave2: Hi, everybody!

Good Morning All!

I had the strangest dream last night. Well, it wasn't strange as in aliens or upside down houses or anything like that but I dreamt that Lyzziesmom, the girls (whom I've never met in real life. . . that's the strange part) and I went to Key West and we were out on this big huge resort type beach with a big diving dock w/ a slide on it like you'd see in the middle of a lake (you know the kind where you can swim out to?) only this one was in the middle of the ocean. :confused3 And I was carrying Emma all around the beach (kind of aimlessly. Don't know where we were walking to. . .)but she fell asleep so I had to come back up to Lyzziesmom who was lying on this huge beach blanket under an umbrella where Lyzzie was eating this huge colorful lollypop and I kept thinking, how does she keep the sand off that thing? And I had to ask Lyzziesmom for a VERY LARGE straw sun hat so that it would cover me and Emma so she wouldn't get burned while she slept. :rotfl: :confused3 Don't ask me why I didn't just put her down on the beach blanket under the umbrella. . .

Well, I just had to share my silly dream. . . Talk to you all soon.
