I just lost my whole post! :badpc: :badpc: Let's try this again!

Donna...a buffet, I love buffets! I will have a little of this and a little of that and I'll be back for 2nds! Good luck with Nathan's game tomorrow!

2x2...I hope you get a break in between all that plucking and waxing!
a pluck pluck here, a pluck pluck there, here a pluck, there a pluck, everywhere a pluck pluck :dance3: I'll stop there as we all know what the next word is! ;)

Ashley....What a beautiful cake! I bet you guys felt like the real Cinderella and prince!

Michele...Happy Birthday again! You know me, football, hockey, bowling, they're all the same to me! ;) :teeth: Too bad about Matt. He always seems to get the bum end of the stick! It just feeds more into the gloating of others. :sad2: Didn't this happen with football? I'm glad he likes his new counselor! By the way, did Nick give you my message? :confused3 Maybe he was too mad at me for calling him Matt and decided not to give it to you. :teeth: Anyway, I found some info on the beach house for June. Call me!

Good luck at the doctors today Lizziesmom!

"We want 20% off tickets... Give us 20% off tickets... 20% off...."
:lmao: :lmao: You are setting all your cliqueless pals up with the 20% off tickets, right! ;) :teeth:

Somehow I managed to turn my phone off in my sleep this morning instead of the snooze on my alarm clock! How I do these things is beyond me. I woke up to Emma coming into my room, which was odd because she stayed at my mom's house last night! My mom couldn't get through on my phone and got worried & let herself in. So... now I'm off to Dr. #1 while mom begins painting my room. I hope I like the color I picked out! It is a light blue/gray from Pottery Barn. I can't afford their furniture, but at least I can use their paint colors!!

I'll see you later, alligators!
After while, crocodiles!
Not too soon, you big baboons!!

Hello everyone-

Sorry I'm late this morning but had to take my father-in-law to the airport.

So, finally, after pulling off all the buttons on my keyboard and then scrubbing everything down with a little rubbing alcohol, I think my keyboard is okay. Jeez what a mess!

Happy birthday Michele! :woohoo:

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Ashley- Love your wedding cake!

Lizziesmom- good luck today. I hope you get some encouraging news!

Well, I actually have the day off today  The house is clean :teeth: I've had my morning :surfweb: So I think I'm actually gonna take some time and scrapbook since I'm so far behind :rolleyes1

Have a good day everyone!

Please forgive me, as I must play the braggadocios father once again this morning.......

Last night was the awards ceremony for the PTA's Reflection contest at the boys' elementary school. The "theme" of the contest was "My Favorite Place".

We walk in and they have all of the kids' entries displayed. There were several categories: Visual Art, Literature, Photography, Song, and Dance. Some of the photographs were fantastic.

So........we are under the assumption that there are 2 age categories - K - 2nd grade and 3rd - 5th grade. Well, we were wrong. They judged them all together. This kind of surprised me.

Anyway, the first award of the night was for Literature. First Place......Colton. Wow. This was unexpected. He had written a really nice piece on why Disney World (shocker, huh?!?) was his favorite place. It was good. But I didn't expect it to win.

So, they go on to other categories, before coming to the Visual Arts. Both Colton and Chase had drawn pictures. First Place - Colton. Way to go Colton!!

Now, I was beginning to worry about Chase's drawing. His is being judged along with drawings of older students. Second place went to another 5th grader. Third Place - Chase!!

After the awards were handed out, Colton wanted to go talk with the judge who judged the Visual Arts category. She was a local artist who had some of her work displayed. We went and talked to her and she just RAVED about how much she liked Colton's piece. She loved the detail, the shading, and everything. She also told Chase that he had done an excellent piece as well, and should be proud to come in 3rd since he was going up against older students. She went on and on about how much talent and potential they had.

So, now both Colton and Chase's drawings will go and be judged District-wide, as well as Colton's Literature piece.

The Visual Arts judge also told Colton that his drawing was good enough that it has a possibilty to win State and go to Nationals. (crossing fingers)

pozey, :cheer2: for Colton and Chase!!! That is fantastic! I think a celebration is in order. party: :jumping1: :rockband:

Good morning everyone (well close to afternoon!). Happy Birthday dear Micheellllee, happy birthday to you! :dance3:

Donna, I've never been to that Pancake place in Gatlinburg. Funny thing is we hardly make it up there the traffic is sooo bad that we go up there maybe once or twice a year. So Pigeon Forge is where we usually make it to. That sounds really yummy though!

Ashley love, love the cake!!

Amber I too am a Tour Guide Mike groupie! I've got all my touring plans reduced in size, laminated (actually contact papered) and on a ring that I clip onto our backpack!! :lmao: :lmao: I can't believe only 1 week from today, I'll be at Disney!!!

Keagansmom glad your keyboard is back to it's normal self! I really want to scrapbook but I'm creatively challenged plus a little ADD too I can never finish projects. It could all stem back to my mom potty training me at 18 months, she brags about that but I think it really maybe the source of all the issues in my life! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: (insert sarcasm)

Lyzziesmom hope the Dr. appointment goes well!

Hi to eveyone else I missed!!!

:dancer: Pozey that is so wonderful about the boys!! I bet they were both beaming and what an encouragment for Chase being praised by the artist on his work! :woohoo: :dance3:

I'm glad there's someone else in the world like me.

I also have Monica's cards and Bret's spreadsheet (I'm still working on the spreadsheet, but the cards are laminated). Oh, I even have menus for the CS places that we may eat at (I didn't want to waste time actually walking to the CS place just to read the menu).

I'm completely commando too; we do not sleep in. Nope, we open and close the parks (last year we were the second people at MK).

I don't know how Mike puts up with me.

I can't believe how close the trip is either. I really though that Nov. was going to drag on, but it has been going by so fast.

Pozey...Congratulations to both boys!

I was lurking on the budget board reading the freebies posts, someone posted this and I just had to share http://www.bettybeauty.com/ :lmao: :lmao: I've seen it all now! :rotfl2:

Lesa, I heard them talking about that on morning radio last week... it was hilarious!!

sorry, its been so crazy around here... yesterday morning we ran to the Dr. to get my thyroid meds..then back so I could get some work done :rolleyes1 ... some one comes to the door :confused3 only sales people come to the front door.... well it was Childrens Services :woohoo: Kenny was taking a nap. She said she just wanted to peak in at him...I said no, I can wake him no problem... they talked to him alone for about an hour! It was great....he told them everything you can imagine. It couldn't have been better. I am so happy. they'll go talk to him next week and do a follow up w/both of us as well. I feel so much better now that I've called.

Hey, I have great 'parent' news myself - Oklahoma's All-State jazz solo audition/competition was on Tuesday. 650 HS students participated, from all over the state. Although Erin did not 'make it' in the ensemble (the top 6 kids), she placed at #15 - out of 650. of the six that made the ensemble, three were from her HS, two guys and one girl.

I went out at lunch today, to our 'big' mall - I had to go to Build-A-Bear; DD has an opening night tonight for the HS fall play, and her 'opening' gift (traditionally flowers) came from there. Not flowers. It's GORGEOUS out.... didn't want to come back.

Way to go Erin :woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo: I'm hoping for our Dec 07 trip to see her at wdw ;) that is so awesome!!

actually I was in my office and I heard every word. I was so happy b/c Kenny doesn't meet a stranger....he was very open and talkative as usual. I told her instances that had concerned me every since he started going there and she'd ask him ?'s around it to see his answers... it was great. :cool1:

Linda, great news about Children's Services! I can't believe they were so fast. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine.

pozey, congrats to your boys!! Is there anything they are NOT good at?

I too thought I was an overplanner, but I've got nothing on you guys! I pretty much just plan which park on which days, and ADR's, and make note of the must-see's and wing it from there. But all my co-travelers usually think I'm nuts when I whip out my color-coded spreadsheet of days, park hours, ADRs, parade/show times, and flight/res numbers. I love having everything in one place, not so many things to keep track of!

The Dr. appointments went ok today. They are testing my hormone levels, she thinks I have some sort of imbalance that's causing the never-ending "visitor". In the meantime I get to try Nuvaring for regulating hormones. Hopefully this will put an end to the mood swings, I'm even driving myself crazy! I got enough refills on my pain meds to hopefully carry me through until Jan, when the new job's insurance takes effect. It's always so scary to be uninsured... it never fails that that's when I need it most.

I think I'm going to rest for a while until Lyzzie gets home. For a week "off," it certainly has not been relaxing!!

Wow Linda, that is great about Children's Services coming out to talk with Kenny. It sounds like it went well. :cool1:

Pozey... :cool1:  :cheer2: :cool1:  :cheer2: for the boys. You and Mrs Pozey must be so proud of them!!!

What great news about Erin!!! All these proud parent moments!! It's so exciting!! :thumbsup2 :cool1: :Pinkbounc

I got the cutest necklace and ring for my birthday. I picked out the necklace while we were at Disney in Aug. And Briana bought me the ring too.

It was so funny at school today. We always post the birthdays on this scrolling box thing in the lunchroom Well mine was posted today so a lot of the kids were wishing me a happy birthday This one 7th gr boy walks up and says you're older! Thanks. No really, you're older. Thanks Scott, it's better than the alternative. He wants to know what that means......I explain if you aren't getting older that means you're dead. Oh, that's a good point, he says, but you're still older!! :confused3 :rotfl:

Blake is home from hunting and he didn't get a deer!!! Yea! He's happy, they got to drink beer, play cards, fart and scratch all they wanted to. It was male bonding heaven!!! :confused3

Now I think we are going out to look for a new kitchen table.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes and great cakes!!

Did you know?.....

that the Grand Floridian will not ship the Peppermint Bark it makes and sells in it's little gingerbread house during the holiday season? I just got off the phone with the head of their Food & Beverage dept at GF, and was considering purchasing about 150# of the stuff as our gifts for our commercial tenants. It's the best Peppermint Bark I've ever had! I can't even order a bag for myself! Oh well, thankfully there's a place by my house that makes it - it's just not quite as good.

Dznyfan,
I am choosing to ignore that picture...hehehe
Tell Erin congrats!

Pozey,
Tell the boys congrats for me. I am so glad to see that they are into art and are passionate about their lives.

Linda,
So glad to hear about CPS! Kenny is such a trooper.

Keagansmom,
Glad your keyboard is in working order!

Michelle,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Donna,
Thanks for breakfast!

I got most of my Christmas shopping done today! My cousin Addison is 9 and I have no idea what to get her for Christmas! Any ideas? Now all I have left is Chris. White House/Black Market is having an amazing sale. I got two new dresses and a pair of dress shoes for less than 150.00...I would never have spent that much but the dresses were originally 198.00 each and the shoes 89.00! So, I splurged...my anniversary is coming up in a week so its okay, right? and a cruise with two formal nights next year...

Hi to everyone I missed!
