Donna and Amber------You two and I are on the same page---literally!!!!

First I baked a cake for Nicole and then saw that Donna already made that one, so, I baked another----the one that Amber made. Needless to say, I had to get back into the kitchen. :teeth:

Hi to everyone-----have a good day!!!!!

I must be running.

Donna----since my experience at the MNSSHP was cut a bit short ( :teeth: )-----I'd kind of like to do the Pirate/Princess party Monday night too. I doubt I will dress up though----maybe just a T-shirt or something. :confused3

Happy Birthday, Nicole!!

hmmm...donuts...thanks..will go well with my cup of caffe mocoa.
I discovered if you put powder hot chocolate in your cup, then use coffee instead of hot water, makes for much better hot chocolate :goodvibes .

Happy Birthday Nicole.

Still tagless....heck...how do you even know you have been tagged. Besides I am not good at, not sure I can say this, but sucking up to people. I am trying to go back to the begining of this group and read up on what is going on :thumbsup2

Pozey- Did you get the email I sent you about the Christmas Card Exchange? I didn't get one from you or DznyFan but it looks like you have the same server (or whatever its called  ) and she didn't get hers. Let me know if you didn't get it either!!
Yes I did. Thank you for doing that. :thumbsup2

Ashley, I had no idea about Lizzie Borden's sister being an Emma!! That is a tad bit creepy. I hope my Lyzzie turns out better! (It's all in the spelling my dear.)

Happy Birthday Nicole!! I was going to bake you a cake but 1. I am too lazy and 2. you'd likely go into sugar overload! So, just imagine yourself another nice Tink cake. Make it an ice cream cake, those are my favorite. With the layer of chocolate crunchies, of course!

Mel, that's very ambitious to try to read this whole thread! I tried to do it a couple weeks ago and couldn't get past about 30 pages. We can be a chatty bunch!

I need to get busy at work today... I haven't even begun cleaning out my desk, and there's 2 years worth of junk in there! I tend to put off unpleasant tasks. Shame on me!

Oh my goodness... did you guys get the email from Disney Home Entertainment? There is a sweepstakes, and the grand prize is a trip to DL plus they will make a pirate in POC at DL that looks like you! How flippin' awesome would that be???!?!

I am in a quandry about something.

As of now I have a trip booked for WDW at FTW, for first time camping. But I rethinking due to the fact not sure if car will get there and back (its 5yrs old and having issues). I am suppose to be getting some money from the sale of some property that was in my Mom's family (long story), not sure how much since the money gets split 8 ways. Anyways I was going to use the money to buy a small pop up camper that can tow with my car (which I still may do), and take it to WDW. But now I am thinking should I just forget FW, and instead change my ressies to Pop and instead of Oct, go for my birthday again (Sept). The other thing with camping is I would have to use up my entire 2 weeks of vacation what with driving there and back. And..I don't think I can go another 11 months with out a vacation trip some place.. :rotfl:

I am use to going someplace every 6 months, and it's been 6 months and I am getting --grumpy butt, need a vacation blues--.

So now if I do the Pop instead, I only need 6 vacation days, for a 10 night stay, and then I can have 4 days left for a trip to Vegas in May.

Yea...I think that is what I will do..

Thanks for listening to my talking to myself :rotfl: :rotfl:

Guess I when I get home after voting today will see if I can get it changed.

Hey..I said NOT all, just some :thumbsup2
Oh, I was just teasing you.... :thumbsup2

I know that there are a LOT of men out there that ARE idiots. I TRY not to be one of them. And I am TRYING to raise my 2 boys not to be one.

Good morning cliqueless chicas! Happy "Get-out-and-Vote-So-They-Will-Stop-Calling-Me-and-I-Won't-Have-to-See-Stupid-Campaign-Commercials-Anymore" day!!

Donna -- Thanks for the donuts. Okay.....is there a difference between donuts and doughnuts? :confused3 My stupid thought of the day. :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday Nicole!! :rockband: party: :rockband: party: :bday:

Colton began feeling much better last night. He slept most of the day yesterday. He wanted and ate an apple about 7:00 p.m. He was able to keep that down. Just before going to bed last night, he said "I'm really hungry now." I told him he probably shouldn't eat anything before going to bed. So, when he woke up this morning, he was feeling MUCH better.

Hopefully, he will be well enough and have enough energy back by tonight. He and Chase have a swim meet at 6:00 p.m. tonight.

Courtney is still limping on her leg. But it doesn't help that she still thinks she can leap tall buildings and chase her brothers. Yesterday, about an hour after I dropped her off at day care, the day care place calls me. Just as an FYI, they tell me that Courtney climbed up on something and jumped off. And then complained that her knee hurt again. So, she is still limping pretty good.

I finally installed a new kitchen faucet last night. DW really likes it!

Good morning cliqueless crew!

I have a bunch to catching up to do. Let's see if I missed anything good. I'll be back! :tiptoe:

By the way, thanks for the donuts (or doughnuts ;) ) Donna!

Mel... you're in good company here what with the talking to yourself and waffling on vacation decisions. I think you've made the right decision. I'm all about maximizing those vacation days!!

pozey... donuts is just a lazy shortened term for doughnuts. Sort of like how catalogue over the years has become catalog, dialogue has become dialog, okay has become ok, etc. Apparently people do not like extraneous (which is now extra) letters.

Glad to hear that Colton and Supergirl are both feeling better. I have a feeling Emma will be very much like Courtney. The girl is fearless! Her new thing is when she gets hurt, she will immediately yell "Don't cry! I'm okay!" even if she's bleeding and crying.

I have to agree that most men are idiots. However... most women are idiots as well. Just a different sort of idiot. (myself included)

Today is the day that I was planning on giving DBF his watch - a month since our first date. He's asked that I not give him anything at work, which sort of kills the plan I had to leave it on his desk before he gets here. I told him that means that he'll have to see me after work, and he said "we'll work something out" with a wink. What the heck am I suppposed to make of that?? Smart little ol' me: I kept the receipt. ;)

Lyzzie: well ok, not reading every post, now skipping 10 pages at a time lol. Only going back if I see an interesting topic.

Posey: I know :teeth:

You have to realize I now work with about 50 guys. There are only maybe 6 women here now. And since I am the only female technician...I really have to put up with all that testostrine(I know I didn't spell that right) flying around.
Good thing I can put on my headphones, IPOD and listen to Disney music

Good Morning to everyone else, though it is almost lunch time for me popcorn::

YM - yikes! The SW rates have gone down since last time I checked!! Thank you thank you!! :worship: :worship: :worship: Did I mention that you ROCK?!?

]

Hey lyzziesmom...I'm little behind. I'm glad you snagged those rates. :cheer2: :woohoo:

I'm about ready to book my airfare....still a little nervous but I don't want to get crappy flight times. :teeth: Looks like I will be on American which means I might take an extra bag since I won't handling my luggage any. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but ME picks up your luggage at the luggage claim and delivers it to your room...then when you check out they take care of it too? I will be dropped off and picked up at the curb so I'm thinking about packing a small second bag with some water and snacks so I won't have to hassle with getting some after I arrive. Does this sound like a good plan? I would never do that if I was lugging it around myself :teeth: :rolleyes1

I booked my flight!!! :woohoo: :cheer2: :yay: :cool1: $138 RT from Chicago. :cool1:

party: :bday: Happy Birthday Nicole! :dance3:

Thank you... I try really hard at having a good relationship with her, but at the same time not crossing that line that says "I'm your friend" instead of "I'm your parent". It hasn't always been wonderful with her; I grew up with a very cold mother, and all my life the memories I have are of dislike of her. I never wanted to have that animosity between my DD and I. My mother and I got past it as I grew older, but she was just never a warm, loving mother. The things my DD tells me I would have NEVER shared with my mom. It's just the way it was. I have made some HUGE parenting mistakes, and would have done some things differently, but all in all we're pretty close. It also helps that I'm very accepting of some of her male friends who are some of the greatest kids I know but don't necessarily have the most loving home lives because of 'the way they are' if you are getting my drift....
Parenting is the most difficult thing I've ever done in my life - it's also the most rewarding.

I have to admit, I have just been skimming through posts (I am like 20 pages behind popcorn:: ) but this caught my eye and I have to say I could have written this post pretty much word for word (except the boy part, thankfully boys are still just annoying! :teeth: ). I don't have any good memories with my mother, we actually have not been on speaking terms since the beginning of July and I'm afraid that will continue. :sad2: I have taken my life's experiences with her and hopefully I am a much better parent because of it. I still make mistakes, but my girls and I are much closer than I ever was with either of my parents, for that I am grateful! :grouphug: to us Dznyfan for using our bad experiences growing up an learning from them to help become better parents to our kids.

Hi Mel  I'm not sure if we've met? :confused3 :)

ETA: I got my list Ashley! Thank you!!!
