Yeah, forums took a burp and also UK forums were originally hosted on a seperate server with seperate logins to the main forums too (so people basically had 2 accounts) which also bit the dust so really hard to tell who's most 'senior' - besides, I think that's such a subjective term anyhow - people can register, leave, come back, leave, have a rest, come back, etc etc.
I originally registered Dec 1999.
You must have been around then when the mods were Janice, Hilary, Shirley??I was'nt here then but I have read some of the old posts from when the new server started, did you lose your name and post count at that time as well, I remember reading about that I think.

Yarr! They were all around, UKDebs, Keving Stringer, Goofyish all were around here then too.
The story of my user name is a little complicated but this is the name I originally joined the site with, it's was my old account that changed and has all my previous posts on. It still exists but as I effectively left the site for a few years I decided it was easier to start from scratch and go back to my Disneymad roots!

also I recall a break away group from the uk forum who went on to form another one called the Dish anyone else remember that?? Is it now the dibb??![]()
I wonder what Janice and Shirley are doing these days?
Ah gosh, how to answer that without opening a can of worms
No, the Dibb wasn't the same as the Dish. The Dibb was formed from the UK server dying and sadly meant we lost some great people from the site. The Dish was formed by a small handful of folks who became very close friends (I'm obviously choosing my words carefully because you know, I wouldn't want to imply they were a clique or anything...) who I think felt that the posting guidelines of the Dis was too constrictive for them so they started their own forum where they could talk how they wanted. I'm pretty sure it was their intent to create a rival to the UK DIS and pull a lot of people with them but seeing as they only ever talked to each on the forums they didn't get much take up
Short version:
The DIBB. We lost a lot of good people to the DIBB - Bonzo & AlisonB spring to mind, Bevs97 too. I still consider the DIS a poorer place without those guys as they are lovely people.
The DISH. Nyeh, some people left.
