Who has the best food on the kids menu?

I'm taking my 4 year old for the first time next year. So excited to see his little face as we go around! I've never taken one that would have to eat off the kids menu though. So, where are the best food options for little ones? My son loves to eat "real" food, not chicken nuggets and pizza. I'll need TS and CS options, but the TS is my bigger concern because I need to reserve in advance. Thanks for any help!

I had a similar experience at a TS restaurant - the Captain's Grille at the Yachtsman. The official kids menu had chicken nuggets, spagetti and I think grilled cheese. I asked if there were any other options and he said "yes, she can have the kids steak". It was not published at all so I asked why and he said the menus are generally very generic. Note that not all restaurants will has option but you won't know until you ask.

Good Luck -Diane :cool1:

If you don't mind a buffet, Crystal Palace for dinner. It's not just chicken and pizza. They have roast beef, potatoes, steaks, turkey, pork, oven roasted chicken and salmon that rotate often. And because it's a buffet, you're not forced to eat the kids section. He can get the pork and steak if he so wants.

Here's the full menu :)

Mostly buffets is the way to go. Your little one can eat whatever he wants there!!!

Other options:
Use kids CS credits for breakfasts
Use kids CS credits at resort food courts, Wolfgang Puck express, Sunshine Seasons, Main St Bakery
Split adult CS meals at the park
Use snack credits for a meal or two (muffins, bagels, fruit bowls, side salads, etc.)

Thanks for the replies. I don't know why I didn't think to just look at the menus. I have a couple places that I HAVE to go to for myself, and luckily they have good options for kids. Does anyone know if the TS credit will work for the steak option? It says it's an extra $2. I don't mind paying the difference if needed, but I want to use the credit also.

My son loves Tony's Town Square because he can get cheese ravioli. I am pretty sure they also have a cheeseburger calzone and another different choice. Same goes for Mama Melrose. He gets the chicken parm there which is a treat compared to the other kids menus. LeCellier has the steak and it is $2.00 more but it was covered on the DDP.

Sanaa at Kidani has the best options I've seen at any WDW restaurant:

The pizza is not like the kids pizza at most WDW restaurants. It's made on naan bread. And our server told us that ANY item on the adult menu can be brought out as a child's portion. DD10 had the shrimp in green curry sauce our last visit and loved it!

Tony's is a place I haven't tried yet, so that is a definite possibility. How does it compare to Tutto if you've been there?

Grand Floridian Cafe, which is another MUST for me, also has steak, chicken, or salmon. That is pretty cool for a kids menu IMO. This place is a hidden gem. I rarely see it mentioned on here.

From the last time I was there, the menu has changed. It's more "authentic" Italian.

If you want good pizza, chicken parm or pasta, head to Via Napoli. :thumbsup2

I had Via Napoli in May, and I was totally disappointed. The service and the food were not my cup of tea. Maybe I just went on a bad day?

my daughter and now my granddaughter are the same way. for wider kids menu options we like narcoossee's, california grill, grand floridian cafe, teppan edo, or we'll do a buffet (although i'm not a big buffet person myself it can give more options).

I just wanted to add that my picky eater loved the CS at the POR because they had a made-to-order pasta bar...

Are you on the dinning plan? If not just skip the kids menu and share with your little one. If you are on the DDP, consider using the kids meals credits for breakfasts or a snack or two and still share your adult meal with your child.
