Now that I'm ready to start my Disney scrapbook- who has the best coupons/sales on supplies and Disney stuff? I need recommendations on basic stuff like stamp pads, tacking tape, etc... TIA!

Depends on the day who has the best sales... coupons are hit and miss...
Michaels does NOT allow you to using coupons on anything related to the cricut (not even the mats).
I believe Joann's and HL still allow you to use the coupons for the cricut mats but not carts.

Stamps pads, I buy from whoever has them on sale.. I have the best luck at HL or Jo's. The M's in our area is the pits.. :(

I shop Hobby Lobby when they have: Paper packs 50%, because they carry some Basic Grey and other better quality brands. 50% off "Paper Studio embellishments." That's their store brand, and it's a good time to get brads, bling, flowers, etc.

I shop JoAnn's for: Cricut blades & mats because they're the only ones that take coupons for them. Paper sales, they stock some Disney single sheet paper. It won't be 5/$1 because they are more expensive, but it will be at a discount.

I will shop Michaels for: Cricut cartridges. Their BF and around Easter prices will be cheaper than the other big box stores (although online will be even cheaper), storage like Jetmax and Iris, and I will use their coupons for adhesive. Also, they will put their store brand "Recollections" stuff at 50% from time to time. So brads, stickers, flowers.

JoAnn's will also often have 40% off just about everything, 30% off Disney. Hobby Lobby, I think sometimes has discounts on "3D embellishments" so that would be for the Jolee's and EK Success fancier Disney stickers.

I ended up going to Hobby Lobby today. They had 30% off Cricut accessories. I picked up a pack of 12x12 mats and a cricut essentials kit. I missed out on the BF coupons for Joann's and Michael's but I'll keep my eye out to get some more papers and embellishments. I'm trying to wait on pulling the trigger on an order for the Mickey font and princess cartridges.

Word of warning about the Princess Carts... they have to be made big... (6" or better).. if not, the eyes look devilish.... :)
The Mickey font rocks!!! I love it!!! (don't use the real dial font when shadowing the letters).

Thanks for the heads up about the Princess carts. I think I'll pass on those. I did however get the Mickey font on ebay last night. I also picked up some cricut lite carts at Menards that were still on sale for $12.99. I got Savory, which is food stuff and Splish Splash, which is bathroom and ocean. I wish I had seen the full selection on BF but I wasn't thinking.

Please don't get me wrong the Princess carts are good....just need to work with them in the bigger sizes!

I really need to try my disney classics out... had it for a while but no time to break it open!

Well, I did some digging online and found Happily Ever After and Hanna Montana for $15 each so I caved. :rolleyes1

Do discontinued or overstock carts ever show up at Big Lots or other discount stores?

Sometimes... they are really hit and miss...
I know a while back cuttlebug dies/embossing folders were at big lots for $2 each!!! I got a bunch at that price....

It's worth a look...

Nothing at the big lots around here recently, but maybe after Christmas.
