who has stayed in a lodge tower room at GF?

what kind of view comes with these rooms?
where are they located?
only 2 adults going, is it a waste of money for the extra room?
do these rooms come with any special amenities like mini fridges?

We stayed in a lodge tower room 2 years ago.

We had a 2 yo and enjoyed the extra space, but I'm not sure I would pay for the extra room if it was just 2 adults.

All of the lodge tower rooms are "interior" facing. Our room in Conch Key overlooked Narcoossee's and had a distant view of the bay and the Contemporary resort. If you are in Boca Chica or Big Pine you will overlook the pool, and if you are in Sago Cay you will overlook the marina. Sugar Loaf is the concierge building, and believe you have to book a concierge rate to get one of these rooms.

There are no "extra" amenities that I can remember, just more space, large windows, and a long balcony.

We've never stayed in the lodge, just Sago Cay and are going in a few days and have a lagoon view room reserved. We requested Big Pine Key for it's proximity to the pools.

Just wanted to let you know there is no charge for mini-fridges at GF, but they are first come first serve and you do have to make the request to get one.

We stayed in a lodge tower room in Sago Cay overlooking the marina. It's basically a standard room with an extra sitting room with a second TV. We enjoyed having the extra space, but we have two children. For just two adults I would go with the lagoon view as my first choice. We were in Conch Key last January overlooking the Magic Kingdom and it was awesome! We could watch the castle turn colors, had a perfect view of the EWP, and the boys loved watching the monorail. If you really want to splurge go for the main building concierge!
