We are thinking about going to disney during the last part of feb. or during the first couple of weeks of march? How are the crowds and can you get a good rate during this time?thanks:smooth:

This time is tough to get a discount because it is in the Spring Break catagory. Check Mousavers.com for any available discounts during that period. Good Luck.

We go during this time every year. Usually great weather, moderate crowds and just magical. The rates are usually not great but we got a DC discount and it helped make it more affordable.

The time frame that you descirbe is Peak Season one of the most expensive and most crowded times. The crowds depend on how many schools and colleges have "spring break" that week.

We are going during the first week of Feb which is value season and we are picking it because the the crowds are some of the lightest of the year and because it is value season there are great discounts to be had. We were able to get the AKL Concierge for $277.60 a night inc tax when rack rate is $425 a night NOT inc tax. This is with an AP rate.

We're going Feb. 26th - March 3rd for a short trip. We went through our AAA agency and got CBR for $160/night. That was cheaper than any other discounts we had found.

I avoid this time like the Plague! I go Feb. 1-6 and get great rates and NO crowds!;)

Not to worry Goofybabe! We go these same weeks every year and its definately not unmanageable. Its hit or miss some years.. we have went last week in feb to the first week and march and the crowds do vary but nothing like holidays or mid summer! Plus the parks are usually open later and more days with Fantasy in the Sky. Relax, take it in stride and have a wonderful time!

The last couple of days in Feb. and the first week in March is our 'usual' time. Last time (2001) we got PO Riverside for $99 per night on a code we found on this board. The weather has been great for us, high 60's to low 80's with very little rain, and the crowds were not bad. Use EE and FastPass and you'll be fine. We're planning a 2/27 - 3/7 trip for 2004.

We'll see ya there Bill, our dates as well!

We've gone every year during February or early March for the last 5 years, depending on when Mardi Gras :jester: falls in New Orleans. The only time we had huge crowds was when we were there during President's week. The weather has always been great - varies from cold to warm but we've always gotten to swim for at least a couple of days. We've also always gotten some type of discount.

We're going the first week of March in 2003. Have fun! :bounce:

That will be our trip dates, last week of Feb. only we have to wait until 2004!:( Glad to hear people think its managable, we too have always gone in Jan or early Feb. for value season but that's not working for us now. Those in the know, keep posting on these dates.
Thanks.:D

I will also be at WDW from the end of Feb. to beginning of March. As of now, I will be paying rack room rate at All-Stars ($122 a night). I was not able to find discounts for that time.

We belong to Disney Club and AAA both offer discounts. I am not sure if there are any available for your time period but I would surely check by calling their 800 numbers. The nprice of membership is small sonsidering the discounts you might get.

Like DawnF316 we are also paying $160 a night (that includes tax) at PO Riverside 2/23-3/3 but we are using the DC discount. ~:D~

I'll be there those dates too Tinky and Bill. I'm assuming since it's a good 10 days after presidents day, and two weeks before any Spring Break's start, that the crowds will be managable. We got a super rate, but since it's thru SoG, it doesn't really count. For us, it's a great time to get out of the rainy northwest!!

Our last time there during this time frame we had AllStar Music for $107. It wasn't until sometime in Jan. that I started seeing codes for better rates here and on Mousesavers. We switched twice, once to PO FQ for $99 per night then to PO Riverside for the same bucks. Don't give up hope of finding a deal until you board the plane. And unfortunately, our next week will be in 2004, not next year.
