who has planned a large family trip to WDW?

I did this with 16 people also, ranging in age from 3 to 68. My one suggestion is this: Don't try to keep everyone together! It's way too hard, especially since every family and age group has their own interests. I took the advice from several people on the boards and booked one sit down meal per day, told everyone where/when it was, and we met up there. We also did the Magical Gatherings Fireworks Voyage, which was incredible. Definately start asking questions of each family's expectations. You don't all have to stay at the same resort to qualify as a "magical gathering", you just all have to be onsite. So, if there are families with budget concerns, they can stay value, for example. We had 6 rooms booked, all differently. Mine was room only with an AP rate, my sister had the 7 nights for the price of 5 (with 2 rooms), my parents had room only with AAA discount, and my FiL and BiL (with his then 10 yr. old son) had a AAA package. I didn't want to be responsible for everyone's money, so we all booked our own, paid our own deposits, etc. I just told them the dates and they took it from there. There are a lot of people who don't like to give cc#'s out over the phone/internet, and I didn't want their cc#'s to be responsible for. Anyway, it was worth all the time I put into it, even if some of them made it difficult along the way (I can't tell you how many times my FiL said "How am I supposed to know where I want to eat 6 months from now?".....Good luck....
