who has floor steam mop and was it worth your money? Do you like it?

I have the Haan. Spent around $90 and it came with 2 micro pads. I really like it alot. I use it on my original hardwood floors in my kitchen (house is 100yrs. old) and my kitchen transitions into my tile laundry. Works great on tile. It's very well made and feels sturdy. That being said, if I could make a change it would be the shape of the steam head. I would make it a little smaller, and maybe angular to get in the corners. However it works great for what I use it for, and I would definately buy it again.

I have the Haan too and love it. We also have hardwood in kitchen that switches to tile in laundry room. Easy transition! I ordered mine from QVC

Bought the Shark the day after Thanksgiving at Walmart for less than $50. It cleans about the same as a swiffer wetjet, but you can wash and re-use the mop cloth instead of purchasing the Swiffer disposable cloths. I usually add a teaspoon of bleach to the water to sanitize my floors, which are regular vinyl/linoleum-type something. I would not do that to hardwood floors, though. So far, it's worth what I paid for it.

I have the Eureka Envirosteamer and I love it! I bought it after reading through a thread like this one here on the DIS and paging through some review sites, and it has absolutely been money well spent. We have vinyl flooring in the kitchen and 100+ year old hardwood through the rest of the main floor, and it does a wonderful job on both. It doesn't leave excess water on the floors, less than is left behind with a traditional mop, and leaves the floors feeling really, really clean (which I love because I'm barefoot about 90% of the time and can't stand the feel of dirty floors!).

With 3 kids and a dog our floors get dirty quick, but the steam mop is so easy to use that it doesn't take more than a few minutes to fire it up to deal with the mud they tracked in or the drink they spilled between full cleanings. It really doesn't take any longer than throwing a pad on the Swiffer and it does a much better job. I figure it'll pay for itself in about two years' time on the cleaning solutions and Swiffer pads I'm not buying any more.

I was thinking about getting one-but the company that installed the hardwoods in my new home said absolutely not to use steam on them as it creates damage over time-they recommended a hardwood cleaning product. I may still purchase a steam mop for my tile and vinyl areas but def will not use it on my wood floors.

I have the Shark and would love to love it but...The handle seems so flimsy and when I'm doing a floor, all the dirt just pushes to the wall edge so I have to go back with a sponge and wipe it up. I love the idea of it and it is better than mopping.

Got it last summer from amazon, for right at $70, but it's down to ~$64 today! There was a customer review that compared half a dozen models... this one rated best on many counts, and I have really liked my results as well as what they reported.

Before I bought this I had "sampled" my MIL's Shark, and it just felt cheap to me. Another brand I looked at in the store seemed too heavy.

The Eureka has been great on vinyl and on hardwoods. Once I squirted a hardwood cleaner on the floor, then mopped it around... the combination with the steam really shined it up! But I normally just move across the wood floor without lingering, with only the "tap water" steam, and we haven't had any trouble with the wood getting dull or streaky.

The two washable pads have worked just fine. But if you think you need extras, just don't order the "Enviromate" replacement pads that show up on an amazon search with this mop... similar name, but they are not for the Eureka Envirosteamer. The right ones are oblong and have a dark rim sewn around the edges. The square "Enviromate" pads look like thin washcloths.
