I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to describe their experience of VB in October? I've only been to VB in July & am wondering if anyone can tell me if Oct. is a nice time to be on the beach? Are there lots of jelly fish in the water at this time? I know hurricanes are always a possibility, but is that all I have to be concerned about?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Our 2007 trip to VBR was at the end of October. Hurricane Noel (the worst of the year) was just leaving the coast. We had days of sunshine and great weather, with very high tides.

The week preceding (when we were on DCL) gave VBR awful weather. When we checking in at VBR, the CM's told us that "this is the 1st day of sunshine - and no rain - that we've had in a week". People were very upset that their vacation at the beach was basically ruined.

Hurricane seasons are always a hit-or-miss.

I was there last Halloween and Tropical Storm Noel was just leaving, we didn't have some sunny windy weather and we couldn't go into the ocean because it was too rough and the whole beach was under water. Never the less we had a great time and went into the pool and just hung out and relaxed. I just booked the first week of Nov for my next trip there.:thumbsup2

We were there the 1st week of Nov. last year and booked the same week this year. The weather way pretty good. It did get very cool at night. The ocean was way to rough to go in. I hope it's calmer this year. I didn't see any jelly fish.

Thanks for the feedback. This gives me an idea of what to expect. When I was at VB in July, it was a little too hot for my taste! Of course it was the perfect time to be in the ocean though. Decisions decisions....I'll have to think about this one.
