Went through a few pages and haven't read anything on Saratoga Springs. We are arriving June 11th and have never stayed there. Not sure what area we will be at as this is a timeshare exchange. I know it is a studio. Do you have any pointers good and bad on staying at this resort. Thanks much.

Saratoga Springs is a DVC resort. If you go over to the DVC threads, you will find lots of information about it. We've stayed there, it's lovely. It's the newest resort, close to DTD. It has wonderful beds and a very nice carryout type restaurant that also has tables. There is construction going on, but shouldn't affect your stay.

You probably won't even see the construction going on. It is fenced off and separated from the areas that are open. We stayed there in October and will be there again in June. Very nice, walking distance to DTD, bus transportation to the parks.

You will have one queen sized bed and one double sleeper sofa. Small kitchenette with a microwave, undercounter refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker. Plasticware, paper plates and bowls, real glasses and cups.

SSR has a wonderful spa on the grounds as well as a golf course. You can sign up for wonderful spa treatments or use the gym.

Congress Park (the first section finished) has a view of DTD. The second section opened just recently. The third will not be open for about a year of so.

We stayed last May when it first opened and loved the resort. I am sure things have gotten even better. The resort is very pretty.

The rooms were very nice, and we really liked Artist's Palette for grabbing something quick. The breakfasts were great - best meal the place had. A lot of people complain about the restaurant, but you are so close to DTD - just take a walk over for dinner if you prefer a sit down restaurant - plenty to choose from.

Great resort, but then again -arent they all??!!!!!

Very nice resort. We stayed there in Jan and enjoyed it. Rooms are pastel colors. Very quiet too. Bus service is good to parks. I had to wait maybe 20 mins for one bus.

Enjoy!

Another positive reponse from me. We will soon be enjoying our third trip to SSR. As others have said, it is very nice and quiet, but close too. The pools are nice and the check-in CM's have been super in our two prior visits.

We were there in March.
Loved: The rooms, location and view. The resort is beautiful. Pool is great (and I have poor swimmers). The quality of the food at Artist pallet was very good.

Dissapointed with: Transportation (seemed to take a long time...I got the impression that SSR had a high % of people self driving, but I could be wrong) and the selection of food at AP was limited. We were there for a long stay and found on day 3 not wanting to go back.

In terms of transportation, I think that may have a lot to do w/luck, timing, time of the year, etc. I was there 3 weeks ago, and only waited for a bus once. One night I waited 15 min for a bus from Epcot back to SSR. Other than that, I didn't wait 5 minutes for any bus either going to/or coming back from SSR.

I'm glad to hear that you had a positive transportation experience. We only had trouble gettion out of SSR, and not getting back. :confused3 But we were there at Easter time

Sorry to hear you had a hard time, maybe because it was Easter week? :confused3
But again, maybe just a combo of timing/luck , because I was there NE April school vacation-CROWDED. And still had no waits other than that 1.

I was at SSR in March and we had NO problems with the Buses! I've stayed at many different WDW resorts and they all have pros and cons! pirate:

SSR has both good and bad points. The Resort is visually beautiful, the spa and gym great, quiet pools and main pools nice as well. My big gripe here is the lack of room service and the lack of poolside dining. I used to state how the resoret is very spread out. I just returned from Marriott Grande Vista in Orlando and that Resort is spread out. It made me realize that SSR really isn't all that spread out. Also finding the boat transfers at this Resort is agonizing. No clear cut signs for this. AP really needs to expand the menu. For us this place felt like staying at a nice condo Resort with a few services. It boils down to a matter of tastes and vacation habits. We are more of a full service hotel family. We utilize those on site services daily. Because of this we are more of a BWV & BCV family. SSR certainly isn't bad, just not for us.

When we were there in October, we thought it was a well appointed resort that was very quiet. Bus service was just fine, and we liked the boat to DTD and OKW.
