I fancy going to Busch Gardens, Tampa.

I just wanted to know if anyone has been or if they ahve takent he shuttle from I.Drive there.

How long is it from Orlando?

I am not looking to compare it to Disney or Universal.

Thanks

We go every time, always by car, takes about an hour-hour & 1/2,& very easy to find. The shuttle goes from the car park at Seaworld,if you have a 5 park flex ticket it's free.
If you like coasters then this is the place! There are some really good rides BUT take a change of clothing-YOU WILL GET WET!!If you can remember the start of "You've been framed" there is a sequence showing a crowd of people getting soaked by a huge wave thing... that's at Busch!
If you have the time go,it's worth the trip.If you're going anytime after 26 Sept up to Halloween then go at the weekend as Howl 'o' Scream is on & you can do the coasters in the pitch black!! SD:bounce:

thank you - has anyone ever gotten the shuttle there?

did you book on line?

thanks

Sorry I have never taken the Shuttle. I would guess the Shuttle doesn't take much longer than it does to drive out...between and hour and an hour and a half.

If you need more information, this is from the BG web site:

"The Busch Gardens Shuttle Express offers daily round trip transportation from Orlando to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. For a limited time, the Shuttle Express is making special afternoon pick-ups for Summer Nights at Busch Gardens. The cost is only $5.00 USD per person, round trip. This service is always FREE with a purchase of a 5-Park Orlando Flexticket. For pick-up times and locations, please call 1-800-221-1339."

Since it is an 800 number, you might just want to give them a call to see what info they can give you.

I called the 1-800 number from a payphone a couple of days before I wanted to go. There are various pickup points. They must have filled more than one bus on the day I went since the bus I was on only picked up from 2 locations. I choose the LaQuinta on 192 west.

I hate driving so this worked out great for me. The shuttle leaves late - around 9:15 so it arrives well after the park opens (around 11:00). The return trip was at park closing so it varies depending on the day of the week and time of the year.

The bus was very comfortable. They showed a movie to help pass time. Traffic was heavy returning to Orlando. I was tired from the heat and glad I didn't drive.

The ride to Busch Gardens is free. Once we arrived, we were directed to guest relations by the front gate to buy a $5.00 return ticket.

I'm going again next trip.

Hi there,

We were at Busch Gardens this year in April....it took us about 1.5 hrs to drive and is well sign posted and easy to find.

There is a lot for all age groups to do....we split our party up and the coaster lovers ran around and did them then met up with the rest of us at the more sedate attractions....there are some good 'kiddie' rides that my 4 yr old loved., and a huge play area that was hard to get them out of.

We are going fo Florida again next yr and everyone wants to visit again!

We just returned from our Fla trip and were at Busch two weeks ago today. It was very nice. My son particularly liked Rhino Rally. I must say however that we were given complimentary tickets by someone who was an employee. I do not know how I would feel if I paid 50.00 per person. The park is very well kept up and it has lots of low key attractions in addition to all the thrill rides. If you like thrill rides you will love it. If you are like me and like things more subdued then you may be a little disappointed.
