In another thread, Disney Bill mentioned having an engraved brick on the walk around the world between the MK and CR. I am sure that there are many people like me who like to look at these bricks in search of ones from their hometown and state. It would be fun to include some of our disboard friends, if I knew where you all had bricks. Unfortunately, we do not have one. Anyone else out there that would like to share where yours are located? I'll look yours up the next time down! :)

My brick is located in front of the entrance on the right side - it's location is front of the trees so it's a good marker for me to find mine with every visit - if I knew how to post a picture here I would show you what it says so I will just try and describe it -

it has a Mickey profile with 94 inside of it for the year we purchased our brick

and it starts with Mary & John
& Family
and then our hometown

My dh gave me one as a surprise, and presented the info to me at our wedding reception 8 years ago! Ours is also on the right walkway at MK, and has the Mickey head silhouette, and I "think" :scratchin it says, "Sammy & Tiffany Bowers 9/16/95". (That will drive me crazy, until I go home & look at my photo of it, to remember the engraving!)

I can't believe we forgot to take our dd last year to see it! It was her 1st time at WDW and I guess we were just too excited! :hyper:

I have one too, it's on the way to the Contemporary, I can't tell the exact location right now because I haven't visited it in a couple of years but it is near the crosswalk. It starts out with a Mickey Head and 95 (the year we purchased it), It has the names, Bill, Lori, Paige and Kimberly too! on it. I can't remember all the details, sorry.

I too have one that my DH gave me as a wedding surprise. It has the Mickey silhouette on it with the 95 inside the head. It says (I think - I'll have to look it up too!) Patrick & Colette (not sure if our last name is on there) & 8-5-95. Ours is off to the right of the MK entrance - toward the bus depot.

We were unable to find it last time there with our DD, we had forgotten about it and didn't have time to go check guest relations to get our directions.

Ours is located to the right of the main turnstiles at the MK. It is near the boat launch exit. The number is E14417. We got in early and got up close to the MK. We have our picture taken with it on each trip...smjj

My wife and I got one after our WDW honeymoon in 1997. Ours is located to the left side of the TTC a few feet before the start of the Polynesian walkway. We make a point to see it every trip. Ours says:

Mike & Becca
Banks
December 13, 1997

disneyfan551 it's too bad you didn't take your dd to see it. We took our ds to see it on his first trip and got a GREAT picture with him sitting behind it, looking down at it with his right hand on it. I have it on my desk and enjoy looking at it everyday. I can still remember the day we took the picture like it was yesterday when actually it's been almost 2 years. Wow time flies. - Mike

I have one, it is in front of the resort monorail station.

Unfortunately, even though it was my birthday present, I included my ex-husband's name on it. Not too great, now that I have remarried. :( Wonder if I could get Disney to take it out? Or maybe just cement over it? LOL!

We got ours in '94 while at the Disneyana convention. It is outside the MK main gate near the ramp to the monorail, about 10 bricks over from the litepost. We visited it earlier this month. Our says Steve and Marci Gitler, Cherry Hill, NJ. Our daughter wasn't born yet when we got it.

I always wondered about those bricks...when they were for sale and how you all got them...I was always quite jealous!:teeth:

When did they stop selling them? How long did they sell them for?

How much were they?

Thanks!

We have one. It is located nearer the CR, near the elephant hedges before you cross the sidewalk going towards the CR.
It says...
The Timothy Kellogg Family
Titusville, PA
and has '95 on it.
=0)

Anybody could buy one. They started selling them at the Disneyana convention if I'm not mistaken, then opened it to the public. There used to be a booth right outside MK where you could buy one. They were $100.

I surprised my husband and son with our brick years ago. It is located to the right of the MK entrance in front of the elephant topiaries. It reads:

deRaad Family
Est. 3/12/87 (the day we adopted our son)
Sterling Heights, MI

I love that brick!

It was such a great surprise for my husband. We were walking up to the entrance and he was looking at the bricks - commenting on how cool they were. I said "Follow me - we have one, too!" I think I really impressed him that day - he was very pleased.

Ours is located right in front of the TTC, near the Poly where we stayed on our family trip in '99. We got one with Mickey in his outrigger canoe, for a Poly theme. I enjoy seeing it when I revisit.

Ours is dead-out-front of MK. Purchased in 1994, it's E01344. We always have our picture taken with it whenever we go. If I recall correctly, they were only ten year leases, which means it will be coming up for renewal soon. I wonder how much that is going to cost?

Hey Dan, we're neighbors! Ours is also in front of the TTC. #H12360.

Actually, I don't think it was a lease, persay. It just stated that they only guaranteed keeping the bricks there for 10 years. After that, the purchasers had no control over what happened. So if Disney decides to, they can tear them all up to do something else in that space. I hope they don't, but I'd be willing to pony up another $100 if they asked.

I know! I hate the thought of my brick going away!! :guilty:

DH and I bought ours on our hunnymoon back in early Feb of 1995. It's E10212 and located just past the monorail tracks towards the main entraince to MK. (actually there's a security guard posted at the exit that's right near the brick)

We just saw it 2 weeks ago and it's held up just great over the past 8 years as far as wear & tear goes. It'll be really cool to go back for our 10th wedding anniversary and have another photo taken with it - I just hope it's still there!
