Who gets mailed a thank you sketch (I've stayed at WDW resorts & didn't get one)? are certain characters mailed to certain resorts/bookings?

Is this an unknown like how to get a pin code?

how do you get dumbo? mickey?

Does anyone know what the 'behind the scene' answers are to why/how/ or who gets these sketches?

I got one after my trip last year. I stayed at CB and it was Mickey. I did sent a complaint in about how incredibly obnoxious the sports groups staying there were. Unknown if the two are connected, or coincidence.

It's completely random. We have gotten a few of them - not with every trip either. We have gotten Mickey, Minnie, and a few other characters, and we have never had any thing to complain about.

I get one after every trip. (DVC and room only bookings) Usually Mickey. Good luck, hope you get one.

We got one after a CSR stay in January (Mickey). Didn't know this was something ever sent so it was a cool surprise! (and no complaints also)

I seem to get one after every trip. I don’t pay much attention to them. I couldn’t even tell you what the sketches were. I don’t save them.

Sometimes we book room only. Sometimes we book a package. We’ve never complained.

We have always gotten one so far although we haven’t yet received one for our February trip (I don’t think - or maybe I forgot). Last summer we got 2 of them after our trip. We have stayed room only and packages. We have had annual passes and regular tickets. Always received it. Never sent a complaint. Never stayed DVC

Twice we got dumbo. Fir end of January trip we just got Mickey last week. Stayed at either Polynesian or Contemporary all 3 times.

I got a Dumbo one after staying at Beach Club in summer 2018. I hung it up on my pin board, it's so cute!

Yeah. We also stay at all category levels. I kind of feel bad for getting them, since I don’t want them, if other people don’t get them, but want them.

I got Mickey once. No idea why or what trip it was for. Didn’t complain. Was DVC and AP.

I travel to WDW often and get FAR too many of those sketches. When each one comes (usually Mickey or Dumbo), my husband and I look at each other and say "what a total waste of money" and toss them away. I wish I could pass them along but they always say the family name. My adult DD's who travel with us sometimes also get them and think it's a waste also. Wish Disney would put the money elsewhere. As in drop prices of AP's and tickets.

(We are DVC members and always stay DVC so maybe that makes a difference as to why we get).

I don't even open the envelope any more. I just toss them we get so many.

I've gotten, Mickey, Minnie and Dumbo. Framed them all. We've received them after each trip. I adore them.
