We will be traveling in May on the 8 night Magic and my wife and I are both Platinum but our adult kids (18 and 20 year olds) are still Gold. Does anyone know who will get the Palo benefit? Just my wife and I OR all of us as we are in the same stateroom?

Also, does anyone know if that is a free dinner, free brunch or a dollar amount food credit towards any meals/expenses at Palo?

TIA!

Yes it is your stateroom can go.

When we were on the Wish in Sept. you have $45 each to spend. They had one app, one main , one dessert to pick at the top of the menu. If you pick something to go with that beyond that set menu it will be extra as is wine or alcohol.

So if you choose to pick a few things instead of the set part , it has equal $45 or you pay the rest Is my understanding.

It’s $45 credit per adult in the same stateroom. If I’m sailing with my parents we normally do two cabins for longer trips but I always add my dad in mine when we book so we are getting at least a bit more value out of that perk.

I was a bit confused about the new system before our Nov cruise, but it's actually quite fair and reasonable. We ordered a la carte and didnt go nuts . . . we had plenty to eat and the total was ~$90 for both of us. Prix fixe, might have been a "better value," but not what we wanted. So the new Palo confirmed that DCL is/was still a desirable and afforable treat.

An interesting side benefit of the new system is that now we know how much to tip:oops:.

Yes, everyone over 18 in a stateroom with a platinum cruiser gets a Palo meal. In fact, the platinum cruiser doesn’t even need to go to the meal. Several years ago my platinum niece was in a cabin with her grandparents and they went to brunch at Palo even though she was not old enough.
