It might just have to be, everyone for themselves tonight or someone goes out and gets KFC, which is our usual Mother's Day feast

I have some pretty cool news about DGD Julia...She got voted into the court, for her prom...It would be even more cool if she actually got picked for prom queen... ..
I'll let you know how it goes...Her prom is this next Sat. Night.

I had a very nice day..We had all the kids over, and had a nice dinner of chicken soup, cheese biscuits, and cantaloupe...Then ice cream for dessert..

I got some cute cards from the kids, and a very nice fuchsia plant....
All and all it was a great day...

Too bad the weather wasnt so great...it was sunny and all, but we had a bit of wind and the temp. was only in the high 50s...Oh well at least it wasn't raining..

I'm now off to relax and watch TV with Mike...

Andy...we're really thinking of you this "md"... my dad will be gone 4 yrs this summer & i remember how odd & sad that 1st father's day was as well...that's a nice thing being able to go to cemetery. I do when possible - dad is in Hollywood Hills' Forest Lawn - so only when we drive to LA do we go....

Thank you ALL. Wound up having a Houseful of some unexpected company. Family & friends showed up to go to the cemetery(Mom was MOM to lots of people). The cemetery is right down the road from me.

I was all OK.

Now I had to feed EVERYONE. Wound up getting the new KFC Grilled chicken. Heard great things about it. Trust me...it's ALL HYPE!!!!!! i WOULDNT GET IT AGAIN.

PD, to answer your post from the other thread over here too.......

I know where to find the original threadkiller thread but what they did was take the first 250 pages and stick them together with the LAST 250 pages

Then they said that the first new thread was Part 10 of the Threadkillers.

I have no clue what they have done with all those hundreds and hundreds of pages that were in between the first 250 and the last 250.

I searched and searched for them but was never able to find them

I even sent an email to the webmasters which I got no reply to

So now whenever we start a new thread I always make sure that all the links that I do have are recorded on the first page.

Hello all my TKer friends..

I had a very nice day today...spent my whole time at work on reg.( which I have decided I like to do the best)..and then took my Mom out for dinner for Mothers day( a little late)...She enjoyed it...
It was also a very nice day weather wise..sunny and in the 60s..Im lovin all the green and flowers...
Mike got all the lawn mowed a couple of days ago and it all looks sooooo nice...and I didnt have to do it...BIG PLUS!

Ill pass this along to her...She is super psyched about it...and the prom in general..Also she will get to see her boyfriend Jamie again..who will be home from college for the summer...They haven't seen each other since Easter...

Hiya Threadkillers!

DP - Many Congrats to Julia! Please post pics of prom for us!

I'm glad to hear everyone had a quiet, restful or nice mothers day. DH made me breakfast, took me to McDonalds for lunch (my request) and we went for a Sunday drive....for THREE HOURS! We ended up in a town that's about 20 minutes away, but it took us three hours to get there. We had such a nice time!

Today, I did grocery shopping, got my haircut, read a book, took a nap & DH and I went to the range and did a little shooting together. Then I made a really good pasta....and I didn't use a recipe! It had artichoke hearts, onions, garlic tomatoes, cream and parmesan in it with peas thrown in for color. It was really, REALLY good! DH asked me to write down what I did so I can make it again!
