Morning TKers! Just a quick hi! I'm at work Another birthday today for our family! My youngest is 12 today. It is a rainy dreary day today. I'm hoping it clears up this afternoon, but it's not looking good.

My middle daughter has a soccer game after school today on the NY/PA border! It's about an hour and a half from here! I know that it is closer to DU's house than it is to ours!!!! Might be closer to DP too, but I'm not sure where in NE Pa. you live DP! The birthday girls says we can go to the game even tho it means most of her birthday will be traveling in the car. We'll let her pick a place to eat on the way home, and have her cake and ice cream when we get back. She had us celebrate her birthday, other than cake and ice cream, over the weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've been lurking, but haven't had time to post!

I saw a few in there I'd use for wallpaper in a heartbeat.

I had to give the Nikon back when I was laid off. I have been debating with myself over getting a new one. I could get a D40 for about $500 but what I *really* want is the D80...that one is only $1200 Hence my dilemma...do I spend the cash and consider it a great investment or do I go with the lower end model and be glad I can afford a decent camera? After using the Nikon D50 I really have no intention of going back to my olympus point and shoot---it's just not the same

it's raining here...I kinda like it tho cause it's cooled off some. I really am not liking this warm fall, I too prefer the cooler weather we normally get by now.

Robin, did you go to the bathroom when you were supposed to be manning that front door!?! Don't you know you are not supposed to even take a minute out for yourself until he got there

I feel kinda funny when others bring gifts...

Having said that, I LOVE what Robin and Liz and Ann and Susan gave me! Besides what you see (Magnet/Shotglass/Magnet Clip) I got a flag pin and real Canadian socks too! The flag pin is on my "I don't trade em" lanyard and my socks have already been on my feet and commandeered by my DD~ The pins Ann and Susan bought for us were perfect. Ann said she liked mine so much she bought herself one

I only bought the Halloween pin this trip.

Being picky about the one I bring home makes my pins that much more special.

My parade Video wouldn't load

gotta go find me a DV cable now...

I am very proud of the spot I found to view the parade. My Mom asked me to get footage of it for her, I even got the headless horseman! I stood right at the tip of the garden at the beginning of Main St. There was only one woman in front of me and she was all of five foot nothin. I videoed the whole thing right over her head.

I can't get it out of the camera now tho It won't load to my pc, it won't load with its own disc, it won't copy on my dvr. My last piece of advice was to get a DV cable and load it to a Microsoft Video program.

I know I am going to have a different problem once I get it loaded. The parade was 20 minutes long. Most hosts only allow ten minutes at a time. MySpace might, youtube and photobucket won't. Dilemma, dilemma, dilemma...wah, wah wah...

Today (or should I say tomorrow ), 11 years ago Roger and I got married! Yep, It's our anniversary.....

He got me the ipod nano video and a really sweet card.... that I really liked!

He also got me some other things...

Have you ever gotten a gift and didn't really like it? I feel so bad because not only am I not too fond of it...it was REALLY expensive and I can see spending our money on something "more" important.

Is it wrong for me to want to return the items?? I don't want to hurt his feelings but it was too expensive

Ah anyways, I did tell him I wanted to return them...he was saying he didn't want to. Mainly cuz he would be embarrassed by the sales lady who sold it to him. He said he was trying to buy the cheaper one but they convinced him to get the more expensive set.

I don't want to hurt his feelings....I know he was trying to be sweet.

I think you look adorable in the picture, I look all frizzled...I have two pics of us, I liked the one with your son popping his head in better than the other one. Lemme know if you ever want prints of these, I can either email you the full size shot or print them and mail them to you.

I agree that if what Roger wound up buying was because he was embarrassed into it and you don't like it it should go back. I have no ideas about what to give him tho. There's always Falcon gear~
