If videomaking were easy I'd be doing it! Don't be so hard on yourself...
the hardest thing to get started on, for me, is video uploads and editing...all of my stuff is from still pictures. I've got tape from 99 still waiting to be edited.
Windows Moviemaker was the most recent recommendation I got. She also said to load it with a DV cable not a USB cable-your stuff will come thru cleaner. DISer Spartangirl has very similar equipment to what I've been using and I asked her what she uses to upload her clips to. She said she uses Windows Moveimaker and then uploads her finished clips right to photobucket. Sounds easy enough...
she is a very helpful person, if you have questions for her I am sure she'd answer.
