Ann, actually I think I remember you once telling me that the scale is huge.

I can just picture you standing on this big huge scale to weigh your little self. Somehow seems amusing to me.

And if you can't laugh then you have to cry and laughing is a heck of a lot better than crying anyday!!

Do you sneak a peek around before you get on the scales to make sure no one is watching you???? Is this scale actually inside of the grocery store?? And what do they usually weigh on it??

Robin, you are TOO funny! The scale is HUGE! It's just inside the grocery store and it's there to weigh...........people! That's it. I used to sneak a peek to see if anyone was watching, but now I'm so proud of the weight loss in the past year that I step on the scale even if a hunk is standing right beside me! I'm proud, baby! I worked hard for every pound you don't see on that scale!

She was named hollydog 'cause she was born/whelped on Dec 25th.....how can you name a Christmas baby Zelda, I ask you?

This is a far stretch, but DDs middle name is Nicole, she was born 12/8, December/C'mas time, you know, Nicole-Nicholas, closest I could get to something C'mas-y. That's my ONLY reason for choosing that name.

Nothing C'mas-y about Zachary John. Well, except for John, in Biblical terms, but it's after my other brother (Zach's Godfather), and it's my Dad's middle name (who goes by John though - it's also my DSs middle name, for the same 2 reasons).

I come from a long line of weird people We are very proud of our weirdness. Whenever I tell Liz that she is weird or strange or whatever, her reply is always "You borned me that way!!"

I guess. You step on it and the round face of the scale has a needle that goes up to your weight in half-pound increments. The face is about as round as a truck tire and I have to look up to read it. So, it's about 6' AFTER you step UP on it!

Yeah, I get the ZZ Stop.....you forget, I'm from the south. ZZ Top is a southern band! Heck a member of Lynard Skynard is buried in the same place my mother is down the road and a friend of mine (lives a couple of miles away) lives in the same neighborhood as a guy from .38 Special. My only other claim to fame was I met Michael Eisner once in Disneyland..........years ago!

Congrats on the new babe....Aunty Kim must be very proud......No news on my new DGD.....My DIL is getting very impatiant...I really dont know how she is doing it,....chasing around four preschool boys all day and ready to pop any day now( she is HUGE)......Im glad I only had two...!

Thank you all on my tree compliments......there are still a few spots that need to be filled, but that will be taken care of asap.

I better go now and get my day started,....... Shopping for DHs Christmas present...(the hardest one to buy for)...I have a few ideas,.....Now the hunt begins to see if I can find what I would like to get him.

Morning everyone!

Betsy - it would have been SO cool if the babies were born on the same day.....I guess we'll just have to have two birthday cakes next year! Good luck with the gift hunt! I always tell my husband that shopping is woman's way of hunting/gathering.

Well, today I faxed out a couple of resumes. We'll see if anything happens. It's been about 3 years since I've been in a competitive market. Since I'm lucky enough - not working for eatin' money - I don't feel a huge sense of urgency. If it happens, it happens, yada yada yada!

Robin & Kim - I had an awesome time chatting with you last night. I hope my weird family didn't scare you away! My brother is no longer married to the fugitive from justice. His fourth wife (yes 4th!) is a very nice lady and they are very happy living in another state. The 3rd wife (the fugitive) is still missing! The only thing that matters is, for the first time it seems, he is truly happy - and I'm happy for him!

Well, I've got a lot of things to do. Gotta get the house ready for sister's weekend! Ya'll take care and we'll chat again soon!

Good WET day everyone!!!!! Raining hard and LARGE amounts here today. The fish pond is filled to the limit. Still predicting more rain and possibly heavy at times. Also have high wind warnings out.
