BrerPapa - I loved the story. Everyone says it's your best story and I have to agree. You truly captured the spirit of the season. Thanks for the beautiful reminder!

Cruisin - I LOVE the smilie! While it doesn't look remotely like you, I will forever picture you sitting on your hands to avoid typing the words "incorrigible"!

DalPal - I loved the Ahhhh-nold impersonation. I hope you're having a great day? Any luck with that baby?

How about your Kim - any word on the baby? How's your day going? Did you manage to make it into work.....everyone healthy?

Well, I'm polishing up my resume. I've decided I'm about ready to go back to work. If something interests me, I'll be ready to jump on it. I've said before that I don't want a high pressure job, but I'm not adverse to working in an office.....and it is where my skills lie.

Well ya'll take care and I'll be checking back in to say hello! Oh! we did NOT go to b'fast this morning.....we decided to do something different.......we went to lunch!

And even more idle chit chat.....

HollyAnn... :cool1:

( Harriet slept in her dress and high heels....if anybody wants to tell me different...bring me the visine beforehand... )

lunch? not breakfast?

the room is spinning....HELP!

whew....better now....

thanks for the kind words....

DalPal....

You got Arnold down pat.....

the only impersonation i do good is Marcel Marceau.....

&....

YoU Used the U's Up sUblimely!

throw an "eh" in here and there....and yoU woUld be mistaken for a neighboUr of oUrs Up North.....

Ahoy again Cruisin' ! :boat:

way i figure....even though the powers that be went "on the cheap" with the smilies....

you should have enough "bite my lips" smilies to get you through the rest of the year....

so...another OOH LA LA! is in order....

well...did you check your wooden shoes yet DEAR?

(go ahead....insert smilie)

most of* all....Thanks for the words of encouragement...both here...and there...

OK! my eyebrow has stubble....that's a good sign.....

Ok...Here it is...Im kind of disappointed in this picture. It looks alot nicer then this looks...

This one is a little off color, but you can see the lights.

Yes...... my little sweet potato......... I checked my shoes :bitelip: :bitelip: :teeth:

NOTHING (but dust and a dead spider!) :sad2: , I guess we know what that means don't we :scratchin :earboy2:

Betsy your tree looks very nice. I find that the picture quality doesn't transfer real well when I post a picture. I think my tree looks much better in "person" than it does on the picture I posted.

So where did you go for lunch, Ann and what did you eat?

Well I have my farrier coming this morning to deshoe( is that a word???) and trim hooves on my horses, and my stalls were suspose to be cleaned yesterday(to much going on to get to that yesterday)sooo I have to get them done..and hes coming around 10am.

I havent looked at all the posts yet, but I had to say my shoes were full of horses :rotfl: ........I just emptyed them this morning :rotfl: :rotfl:
Some times I just kill me :earboy2:

DalPal - beautiful tree! I especially like the one that is off color. The "off" part was beautiful. You could have gotten away with it and called it artistic liberties instead! I called DD and GS has another cold, so I don't know when (or if) she's going to take a picture of the tree for ya'll. I keep hoping!

Cruisin - if I tell you where I went, you'll learn that I was a baaaad girl today! My DH took me to my FAVORITE restaurant in the whole, wide world! I went to McDonalds. I had a cheeseburger and a small fries. I took off 1/2 of the bun to avoid all the carbs. It was quite a treat and it was delicious! Of course, I'm back on program......just a temporary indulgence! Heck, I won't even indulge on Christmas day - I'm really a good girl with this new way of eating...........but every once in a while the call of the golden arches is too much to resist. So, about every 8 weeks or so, I treat myself. But that's OUR secret!

BrerPapa - You are too much! I'm glad the room has righted itself - hope you weren't too dizzy! I wasn't expecting the lunch treat, DH just pulled in the parking lot and surprised me. He's a keeper!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

 good one!!

Ann, as soon as you said you went to your favourite restaurant I knew exactly where you had been ;)

Oh what the heck you have to have a treat every now and again. What's the use of living without a few special treats.

Okay since it is confession time, I had a Whopper Jr for lunch. Just the burger and a bottle of water, no fries. I had to make an emergency run to the "big" city to get something for the shop today. The machine was shut down all for the want of a couple of little pieces of metal, so I was elected to drive and get them. Gotta keep them machines running or no money for Mickey :D

uh oh.....

What did YOU do?

DETAILS! :rotfl:

Dal Pal....

Love the tree! Esecially the Angel Tree Topper!

I am quite fond of Angels....

PA put up our tree...it's "Themed"...all the ornaments are Angels....

She also put just blue, white and yellow lights on it...and a crystal loooking garland....

Kind of artsy-smartsy....

pretty though....

Next St. Nicks day...put out 4 horseshoes....see if they get filled

even a pony would be cool....

Hello HollyAnn! :cool1:

( I imagine when Harriet went to the golden arches...the sign said "200 burgers sold" )

Here's an oddity....Have you EVER seen a squirrel by a McDonalds? EVER????

Something to think about when you're gnawing on a McNugget......

Heck....I can't end a post without tossing out a...

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

I indulged in a plate of garlic & butter chicken wings....

I drew on an eyebrow tonight....didn't turn out....I looked like a hussy....

so i kept it....

next time I won't use a crayola.....

SHAZBOT!! On the cheap...I had TOO MANY SMILIES....I am not enthused about the new boards.....

I was just on my way over here to see what was happening when I got lost in another thread along the way :D

I see you figured out how to fix your underlining problem BP  I thought maybe you were just showing us that you had learned a new skill :cloud9:

Do you honestly think I would TELL you what I did?????? HAH, good luck :p

You never did tell us what you found in your St. Nicholas Day shoes???

I drew on an eyebrow tonight....didn't turn out....I looked like a hussy....
 :crazy2:

So where is everyone tonight????

I'm here!!! With Baby News!!!! Zachary John was born this evening at 7:14 pm, weighing in at 5lbs14oz, and measuring 19-1/4". Little tike he is. ;) Proud parents, big sister Zoe, and baby Zach are all doing well!!! :bday: Zachary!

Ok, so what's this business with shoes, and being full of horses, and hussy eyebrows, and McDonald's AND Burger King?!?! What a day you crazy people have had! :earboy2:

Betsy, I too like the tree with the room lights off. I use my tree as my night-light all month! :smooth: Love those lights!!

BP, sorry no cupcake update yet. Those are tomorrow & Wed. 6 banana muffins came home with DD today though. I frosted and decorated the 4 dozen cupcakes tonight, with DDs 'help'. ;)

Ann, I gained a pound this week. :( Shhhhh, don't tell anybody. ;)

Hey Kim, congratulations on the new nephew. :cheer2: Glad to hear that he is safely arrived. Now, one more to buy for, for Christmas.

Shhhhh, don't tell anybody.

I won't tell anyone if you don't ;) Sorry about the little teeny tiny step backwards. You will make up for it, I have confidence in you. :flower1:

LOL, are you kidding?! Obsessive-compulsive, shop-a-holic, that I am, it's done already! Baby gift and C'mas gift! (Plus his first 'hawaiian' shirt for the summer, and an outfit for next YEAR! - I can't be stopped - December is merely an EXCUSE for me!) :earseek:

Thanks for the confidence, btw. ;) It just kinda bothers me that I had a normal week, nothing extreme (no McD's or BK) and thought I'd maintain, at least. Not looking good for the holidays! Must have been all those cupcakes & muffins I BAKED. I didn't take a single BITE, but just making them must've have caused it, right?.....RIGHT??? ;)

Hi Kim - congratulations on Zachary! My father would LOVE your family! He loves names that start with Z. He'd love to have some grandkids named Zeb & Zelda.....he won't give a reason!

Cruisin - I'm here! I'm here! I couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd stop in and say hello....do a little reading!

BrerPapa - you drew an eyebrow, huh? Are you gonna post a picture of your artsy tree? We'd love to see it!

Do you think DalPal hasn't checked in cause she's at the hospital waiting on her new grandbaby?

Kim, I forgot to tell you...........I didn't weigh myself today. Usually I do on Mondays, but DH and I walked outside instead of driving to our usual place to walk and stopping at the store scale. Anyway, you don't worry about that pound. It could be anything! Remember, most people lose/gain up to 3 pounds any given day. It'll whoosh away!...........I just know it!

I tend to buy things when I see them too. I used to be more of a shopaholic but not so much anymore. I can go for weeks without going into a store like Walmart, even without going to the grocery store, much to the dismay of my family!!

Don't worry about Christmas Kim. You will be fine.

Ann, somehow the mental picture of you on the scale in the grocery store is quite amusing to me :earboy2:

Thanks Ann! Whoosh fairy needed here! ;) I did insist on doing the minimum 30 min tape today - cupcakes waited. Hope that helps. ;)

Oh my! Please don't give my DB & DSIL any more ideas for Z names! :earseek: We've laughed about what their next choices might be, altho they claim it isn't a Z thing. Zeppo, Zenith, now Zeb & Zelba...I can't think about it. :headache: LOL

Yeah, he wanted us to name Hollydog..........Zelda dog! Can you believe it? She was named hollydog 'cause she was born/whelped on Dec 25th.....how can you name a Christmas baby Zelda, I ask you?

Robin, I'm glad that me on a grocery store scale makes you laugh. There are days it makes me cry! Just kidding. What exactly is the amusing part? I have a theory about this one..........

It's having some short haired lady in raggy exercise clothes weigh herself at the store cause she's too cheap to buy her own scale at Wal-Mart.........right? Or is the fact that any woman is courageous enough to weigh herself in public? (ETA - courageous - had another word in there that was NOT PC)
