It was wonderful meeting Ann and Tom, Cally. Great fun.

Some of us have known each other longer than others. Actually I first started posting on the thread killers a year ago in November. Brer_Papa was here then and also Kim and Wendy but Ann came in later (and we are glad she did).

Your husband will get used to it some day. Mine is, I am always telling him I read this or that on the DIS boards.

Robin, I'm afraid to look back and see when I first started posting on here. If you've been here over a year...................oh my!!!

Oh gosh yes, on the hubbys! Mine is almost 4 years used to me, and the DIS, and the many DISers we've met. ALL good experiences.

Once upon a time....

In the Heavens above....

Many Centuries ago....

The various Bands of Angels were rejoicing!

News was circulating of a Blessed Event...

A Baby in swaddling clothes was born in a manger in Bethlehem....

ArchAngels were dispatched to protect the Newborn Baby....

Seraphim were guiding 3 Wise Men bearing gifts to pay homage to the Son of God.......

The Christmas Star blazed in the night sky.....

One tiny Cherub Angel ...blue eyed with Golden Curls ....celebrated with all the Heavenly Host.....

She watched in awe as the Archangels did their duty...

She tracked the journey of the Magi as they made their trek...

She gazed in wonder at the miracle of the Christmas Star.....

and yet, she was troubled....ill at ease.....she felt the celebration was incomplete....that she could do more....

So the tiny Cherub entered the "Legions of Angels" Hall....

Here is where the Angels gather....where Guardian Angels wait for their assignments....

The place from which all Bands of Angels are dispatched....

This tiny Cherub was seeking the counsel of "The Angel of Wisdom"....

On such am important night, the "Angel of Wisdom" was quite busy....his duties enormous....his time so filled ... he was surrounded by many Angels....

Angels of every type were in the Hall.....flying to & from this place and Bethlehem....

Guardian Angels were singing of the "Joy to The World" ...

The tiny Cherub approached the mighty "Angel of Wisdom".....her mind resolute with purpose....but the purpose unclear to her.....

Her hope that this counsel can put her mind at ease....to unravel that which troubled her.....

Unsure to herself if he even had a few seconds to spare....

Surprised, she watched as Angels stepped aside
as she made her way....


Once in the shadow of the "Angel Of Wisdom"...he turned to her and said....

"I have been waiting for you Cherub....I have an assignment for you....a very important assignent....one you have been chosen for by the King of Kings....."

The tiny Cherub was speechless....she could only nod....

The "Angel of Wisdom" continued...."from this time forward....you will be known as the "Angel of Christmas".....your task will be to spread the Spirit of Christmas on Heaven and Earth.....to infuse the good fellowship to angels and all of humankind....for all time...."

Her smile showed her acceptance of this unique and wonderful assignment.....her tiny wings fluttered with joy.....

She found her voice....."Thank You....I will do my best"

and she sang her praises.....she was joined in song by all the Angels....

And so, the years passed.....the Tiny Cherub spent time with every Guardian Angel as they left the heavens to watch over a baby born.....

And so, the centuries passed.....the "Angel of Christmas" continued to spread the Spirit of Christmas on Heaven and Earth.....

But alas, as time moved forward the true meaning of Christmas lessened .....

A Holy Day was becoming a holiday....

more secular than sacred.....

this is not to be.....

the "Angel of Christmas" is once again full of resolve....the difference between the night of the birth of Jesus to today is she is clear in her purpose....

The "Angel of Christmas" is visiting you....

RIGHT NOW!

Smile glowing....tiny wings fluttering....she is giving you good fellowship ....

to observe the true meaning of the Holy Day....

reminding you of the wonders of Christmas.....

She is placing in your heart more love for family that blazes like the Christmas Star....

giving you renewed appreciations for your friends and all you hold dear....

She sends you a "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" to give to all who have meaning in your life....

I was going to wait until I get back from my chores to post, but........
BP,
I had to tell you that this has got to be..one of your best storys!....Very uplifting...In my house we always like to point out to the children that its important to remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.....AND my DH says its CHRISTmas, not GIFTmas....and we would be more happy with their presence, then with their presents.....So this story really hit the spot....

Nice pics, I really like the hair color!It looks great!...I do that too, I just cant commit to perm haircolor, so I use the washout kind too....If I dont, I always end up with horizontal stripes......Right now Im just trying to decide if I want to get it cut...Its getting long. Im bored with the same cut Ive had for years
but I cant figure out what I want to do with it....so Ill let it grow out until I do.

Well I have my farrier coming this morning to deshoe( is that a word???) and trim hooves on my horses, and my stalls were suspose to be cleaned yesterday(to much going on to get to that yesterday)sooo I have to get them done..and hes coming around 10am.

Anyway Ill try to post that picture of my tree sometime today..I think it turned out really nice. I had to use some of my nondisney stuff, but thats ok ...its a bigger tree then we use to get, now that we have a nice big room to put it in, and it didnt look as big out in the woods for some reason.

Kim boy if they had the babies on the same day! Now that could really be a party on this thread....in any case there will be drinks all around ...and you can put it on my tab!... SO get ready to party

Although I havent heard anything , so I guess nothing happened last night, but when the time comes....EVERYONE is invited!..HEY BP..Ill even have lots of food!.....

Yes....today is an observation that is a family tradition....

A German tradition I do believe...

What we do is....set out our shoes...and if w've been god....real real good....

when we awake...our shoes have a gift....mabe some candies....some fruit....

well....as you know...I've been good...REAL REAL GOOD!

So.....my shoes were filled....

I can't wait for the new year to get here. Dang it all, I will be leaving for Florida on Jan 1 ~~~ guess I will just have to post in the wee hours before we leave. Got to start the new year off right.

I left my wooden shoes by the fireplace. Haven't checked to see if there were any treats left in them yet or not? Hopefully there is not a "treat" the cat left

About your latest story ......... all I can say is..... AWESOME, dude!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely wonderful writing! One of the best stories you have shared with us to date. I can picture that story in a newspaper or as a short story in a magazine or maybe what about something like the Chicken Soup Books.
