Hello everyone! It's raining like crazy here! Oh, well, that's summer in Florida! Sad to report, we didn't win the $290M lottery. Being rich in love is better anyway!

I'm having an extremely lazy day. Hubby and I have spent most of the day reading and watching a little TV, with a nap thrown in - just to get us off the couch.

Hope everyone has as enjoyable a day as I've had!

Too bad you didn't win that lottery Hollyann. I was looking forward to the party that you were sure to have and invite all of your DIS friends to. (any excuse to go to Florida works for me!!)

Matter of fact...I did party today...a birthday party for a Granson...he turned 5...

A cople of soccer games some Grandkids were playing in...

Then, we went to a little town called Centerville...they held their annual "Strawberry Festival" today....
we got some strawerry shortcake...it was great! I ate too much....

BTW....best wishes and a hearty "Get Well Quick" to your DD....

Good Morning Thread Killers! Just wanted to pop in and say hello. It is beautiful out here today! I'm about to skip over to the WISH page to post my exercise for the day! I'm starting to get skinny!

After exercising, hubby and I mowed, edged & trimmed the lawn. In this Florida heat - that's exercise, too! Now the lawn looks so lush & green and the sky is so blue with these big, FAT white clouds. A perfect day to watch the world go by. In fact, that's what is on our agenda! We're going to have lunch, read some during the heat of the day and our son-in-law is coming over for dinner - which is already in the crock-pot! My work here is done!

Sounds like you are having a good day today.

It is cooler today than yesterday, when the humidex was about 100 degrees. Today with the humidex it is only 87 but it feels a lot cooler.

Just a normal day around here....went to work for a bit , took my car for an oil change and am now catching up on the disboards for a few minutes.

Hello everyone!!

The weekend was so busy, I haven't had a chance to check the CB. I head to the WISH board first, sorry. And then, I run out of time. Hope all is well with everyone here, and on the CB in general.

Had an argument with my daughter about what is an appropriate time for bed (she is 17)


She thinks because it is HER summer vacation that she should be allowed to stay up all night if she wants to, talking on her computer and sleep the day away.

I don't agree with her idea of a good way to spend summer vacation and not so politely told her to get her you know what into bed.

Now I can't sleep , so I thought a few minutes on the DISboards might help.

So tomorrow I will probably be a little bleary eyed all day!

Hi everyone! Went to the movies (again - I like movies) and saw Spiderman2. I can't help it, I love super hero movies. Bunco is a game with 9 dice, 3 tables, 12 women, a bell and food! Lots of fun. It's kind of like playing Yahtzee with revolving tables. Loads of fun. I belong to two groups and play twice a month!
