Good morning, everyone!!!

I had a very busy day yesterday, so I combined chores with exercise. I did two hours of hardcore housekeeping (geez, how did my house get so messy?) and even made sure to keep my abs tight, posture good, etc., while scurrying around the house! It must have worked, because I was sweating like crazy by the time I was done!

I love reading about everyone's different activities. Curves certainly seems to be a popular workout!!! They must be doing something right to attract so many WISHers. Sounds like a good time!!!

So, how was everyone's day yesterday? Tell me what you did for exercise, and THANK YOU for sharing your time with me! You all keep me going!!!

Daisy;)

The Firm CardioSculpt. These biceps keep growing!

I did the WW Get Moving (or whatever the name of the high intensity video is) for the first time yesterday. WOW! For only being a 30 minutes video, I worked my BUTT off!!! Felt sooooo good!!

Had to share this! I've been walking more than 20 miles a week for 3 months now. I've been working on upping my pace but yesterday I had a little help. Started at 6am- 10 minutes late so I knew I had to pick up the pace to make it back home by 7 for dh to go to work. The sky was cloudy- but no different than any other morning. 2 miles into my walk I see lightning- but way off- but thought I had better start speed walking. Not 10 minutes later I turned around to see where the storm was headed and now the SKY WAS BLACK!!! Not only was the lightning right on me but the black sky was growing and I'm telling ya I felt like Dorothy on a bad day! This 202 pound woman with swollen TOM boobs RAN a whole mile all the way home- 2 seconds after I made it in about to pass out on the floor the storm hit- all the news channels are now calling it "WITHOUT WARNING STORM OF 2003!" Winds above 80-90 mph- trees and power lines down everywhere- it was awful! We were only without power for 13 hours- all my relatives still do not have power and they say it could take 7-10 days for all of the 300,000 without power to get it back. It was awful- but I can say I RAN a mile- and will probably NEVER do that again in my life!!! :) I much prefer walking!

Aha, I can claim cleaning as exercise yesterday! Finally organized the bedroom and it looks and feels so much cozier. Did that for about 30 minutes. I also went rollerblading for an hour and 10 minutes. Was supposed to work my abs, but d'oh.... kind of slipped by without doing it! Was a rest from weight lifting day.

 Tara!!!! Glad you made it home safely!!

I did my WATP 2-mile walk with DH inside where it was safe! ;)

Tara - that is awesome! a little scary but awesome! Amazing what we can do when we set our mind to it and don't accept any mental setbacks like that little voice that says "I can't do that.........."

yesterday I jogged 3 miles and did 20 min pilates and 15 mins hand weights. Good thing the exercise thing is going for me, it's what's keeping me floating, now to work on the eating part of it again!!! Give me strength today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tara-OMG, what a morning you had yesterday. I'm glad that you made it home just in time, but you are right, you can now say that you ran a mile. I don't think I've ever done that:D .

Daisy-Glad to hear that you had a great workout cleaning yesterday. I've got that on the plate to do today and I will remember to keep those abs pulled in and keep my posture in check. Thanks for those reminders.

I did my 50 min on the treadmill yesterday and that was it for me.

Thanks for everyone sharing, it really is encouraging to hear what everyone else is doing. Have a wonderful day!
Tammy

I surely did not get the excitement that Tara encountered, however happy to report that the Gym is becoming a normal routine for my DW and I. We both did our 30mins on the Gerbil track as some quote it. This week we have included more incline and speed, as we look toward 2005 for the WDW 1/2 Marathon...

:p :p :p :p

Tara, I prefer walking too (easier on my joints, not to mention my chest! ;) ) but never say you'll never do that again. You might find yourself running sooner than you know it and just for the fun of it instead of because of a nasty storm! :D

I did my usual workout at the gym yesterday - 20 minutes on the elliptical and lower body workout. I usually do my upper body at home on alternate days since I have the weights there and I can do it while watching TV.

Great job everyone!

I did WATP, 3 mile walk and then worked my abs with a Firm video for 10 minutes. Knowing that I need to post on this board has help me keep up with my work outs. Thanks to all!

I extended my normal 2 mi. walk by about 1/4 of a mi. I felt good and wanted to keep going so I did.

Well I normally don't post that I exercised on tuesdays b/c I'm too tired but I found the energy to do the WATP 1mile tape. I think it will be easier for me to get some exercise in if I don't hvae to think about what I'm going to do. I also worked abs.

*sheepishly/shyly peeks head in*

Does spending 5 minutes on the exercise bike for the first time in a few months count?

Rajah,

That TOTALLY counts! Good for you!

Keep up the good work,

Daisy;)

Tues is bowling day. Bowled nonstop for 2 hrs w/ DH, also did 30 modified push-ups & I'm not sure how many ab crunches.

Tara, glad you made it home safely. Last time I ran that far was when I was in college, that was a loooonnnnngggg time ago & I was a lot smaller than I am now!

Rajah, you have to start somewhere. 5 min on the exercise bike was all I could manage when I started an exercise program back in Jan. Keep doing something every day & you'll see improvement in no time!

Must have been in the air--I cleaned house, too!!!
I also did 3 hours of yard work....MAJOR yard work!!! I also walked 2 miles in the a.m. with POTC soundtrack playing on walkman!! WOW!! Is that great music!!!!
Great job everyone!!!
